The Beds were amazing my room was a king and the best, even compared to 5 Star Hotels. Decor was extra gorgeous. Beautiful array of natural Tea's. Plenty of extras, coffee machine. Amazing outdoor spaces, beautiful Pool, pool towels in room and amazing lawn areas with Chairs, tables, Heaps of sun loungers and lounges suites, Tennis court. All with the best view over Merimbula. Fabulous Hotel lounge & Decor with dining tables and balcony & bar to relax with the view. Like a mini resort. Would definitely be back.

The view was amazing! Style of the room was great, loved the coffee pod machine and the free refills Also loved that they over yoga mats and further amenities - shame we didn’t get to use them as the weather was quite rainy. Staff were all so lovely and helpful

It was pretty basic for the price, although we did book during Easter which may have contributed to higher cost Shower was a little dirty and the cutlery in the room had not been washed properly. Shower leaked water onto the floor and the bathroom fan was very loud.

We had a wonderful stay. Right from the start Casper was so helpful and inviting a really great host. The room was very comfortable, bed was great, bathroom was clean, and views were outstanding. We had a lovely drink down by the fire pit and watching whales play in the distance. Yes, it is a short drive from town, but we (thanks to Casper's great map) had a beautiful walk along waterfront and some bushland. Took us an hour to do a full circle and coming back up the hill was a little bit of work, but we are 60 and fit so wasn't a problem. We didn't have any road noise, and we stayed on the long weekend we had plenty of parking. We will definitely stay again - Thank you Casper and team for a wonderful break.

We loved our stay at Hillcrest. The room was beautifully designed, and the view from the balcony was stunning. The location is super convenient, just a few minutes' drive from town. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches like the Kevin Murphy skincare in the bathroom, the well-stocked minibar, and being invited to happy hour with complimentary bubbles and cheese and crackers.

It would have been even great if there was a full-length mirror in the room. The only mirror was in the bathroom, which made it difficult to see our outfits and didn’t have the best lighting for doing makeup.

The view was amazing, looking over the town of Merimbula and out to the sea. The room was spacious with a huge, comfortable bed and a small sitting area. The best pillows we encountered on our week long trip. The bathroom was recently renovated with a large rain shower rose. The room still had a retro 1970s vibe which we really liked. The guest lounge area with comfortable seating had the most wonderful views. Little extras were provided like filtered water, extra coffee pods, a locked amenity room for extra towels or pillows. It was a bonus to find a microwave in the room and bowls and cutlery so we could have breakfast in the room.

That we only had one night here. We didn't have enough time to enjoy all the amenities on offer.

Loved the rooms and the facilities. There was so much room to hang out outside or play with games. Our room was amazing, I think we were upgraded as the room was a lot better than the imagery online.

The service of a motel is not like a hotel, it takes a little to get used to not having your room serviced daily. If you’re not spending much time indoors it’s fine though.

The location was great. About 1k out of town up a steep road which meant the views were fantastic from the balcony of the motel style rooms. The pool was beautiful although it was too chilly to swim. Great sun lounges looking to the surrounding gardens which were lush & stunning & very well looked after. The gardener was working each morning. The rooms were older style with a makeover & very spacious with a large tv on the wall. The lounge breakfast area was very modern. Furnished beautifully with full length glass sliding doors with bench seats looking over Merimbula down to the beach. Lounge chairs with a coffee table & other seating with tables made for a great spot for brekky & the hours where we sat & played Sequence! Brekky was outstanding. We were looked after by the lovely Tracy who was a wealth of knowledge about the area. She explained that they are very fussy, all produce is locally sourced, that the bread came from a bakery 40 minutes away (it was the best ever). The muesli & yoghurt was exceptional & even the jams were tried & tested for excellence! As in the rooms there was also a large range of teas to try. Well done to the young man who has transformed Hillcrest!

Our room was clean and tastefully decorated, with an amazing view from our balcony. The bed was really comfortable and the whole place had a calm and peaceful ambience that made our stay exceptionally relaxing. An array of delicious herbal teas was provided, along with a coffee machine plus a well stocked fridge that included soft drinks and beer which you paid for at check out. We couldn't have wished for a nicer place to stay during our trip to Australia.

Nothing not to like about this lovely hotel.

It was a comfortable bed and clean. It had a coffee machine which was surprising. The view was lovely. The rooms could do with a little updating but i feel like this might be happening.

The wardrobe smelt damp and musty I wouldn’t put my clothes in it. There was no air conditioning but top windows opened which was ok for the night we stayed not sure about a very warm night. I liked the screen door but couldn’t lock it. The price was high but it was in the holiday period a few days after new year I didn’t think it was value for money at the price but if it was less I would stay again.

The view is amazing throughout the whole day, sunrise was amazing sitting out on the deck chairs by the pool, night time and lounging around the camp fire whilst overlooking Merimbula was nice. Nice decor rooms, spotlessly clean and has a spa feel to it. Beautiful lounge area with refreshments available. Gardens and surrounding areas well kept, tennis court and equipment free to use! Staff all friendly and approachable, let us check in half hour early as our room was ready.
