The gentleman at the front desk/reception was exceptional, so friendly, and couldn't do enough to make our stay amazing, and he was so welcoming, even the heater was turned on when we arrived, so it was warm and cosy. We couldn't believe how amazing the view was from our room, and it was so sparklying clean, and we loved the decor. Even our dogs were made very welcome and given special things to make them comfortable. The tennis court , pool, and fire pit were a good addition, as well as the visiting kangaroos and kookaburras ! The information about local eateries, etc, was greatly appreciated. We took all the suggestions on board and had a lovely weekend. We'll be back !

That we had to come home so quickly, we definitely will stay longer next time

The Beds were amazing my room was a king and the best, even compared to 5 Star Hotels. Decor was extra gorgeous. Beautiful array of natural Tea's. Plenty of extras, coffee machine. Amazing outdoor spaces, beautiful Pool, pool towels in room and amazing lawn areas with Chairs, tables, Heaps of sun loungers and lounges suites, Tennis court. All with the best view over Merimbula. Fabulous Hotel lounge & Decor with dining tables and balcony & bar to relax with the view. Like a mini resort. Would definitely be back.

We stopped on our honeymoon roadtrip and loved our bedroom which had an amazing view over Merimbula and a parking space right outside the room. It was a short drive down to the centre where a few nice restaurants and shops are. The pool is great, we had a family of kangaroos sit with us and stare the whole time, it was amazing swimming with this view. We came back at night to gaze at the stars with a drink. There was a mini bar in the room which was nicely stocked and you could have breakfast on the mini balcony with the view.

There wasn't a pricelist for the minibar - should be available to differentiate between complimentary stuff and that you had to pay for

The view was amazing! Style of the room was great, loved the coffee pod machine and the free refills Also loved that they over yoga mats and further amenities - shame we didn’t get to use them as the weather was quite rainy. Staff were all so lovely and helpful

It was pretty basic for the price, although we did book during Easter which may have contributed to higher cost Shower was a little dirty and the cutlery in the room had not been washed properly. Shower leaked water onto the floor and the bathroom fan was very loud.

There were so many lovely spaces here-the fire pit, pool and BBQ areas all overlooking the ocean. My room was very spacious and had a very comfy bed. The shower was excellent (I was on a long road trip and this was the best I found!). Easy and personal check in ( online option available).

Nothing really. A more substantial breakfast option would be good ( there was a small take-away option).

We had a wonderful stay. Right from the start Casper was so helpful and inviting a really great host. The room was very comfortable, bed was great, bathroom was clean, and views were outstanding. We had a lovely drink down by the fire pit and watching whales play in the distance. Yes, it is a short drive from town, but we (thanks to Casper's great map) had a beautiful walk along waterfront and some bushland. Took us an hour to do a full circle and coming back up the hill was a little bit of work, but we are 60 and fit so wasn't a problem. We didn't have any road noise, and we stayed on the long weekend we had plenty of parking. We will definitely stay again - Thank you Casper and team for a wonderful break.

We loved our stay at Hillcrest. The room was beautifully designed, and the view from the balcony was stunning. The location is super convenient, just a few minutes' drive from town. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches like the Kevin Murphy skincare in the bathroom, the well-stocked minibar, and being invited to happy hour with complimentary bubbles and cheese and crackers.

It would have been even great if there was a full-length mirror in the room. The only mirror was in the bathroom, which made it difficult to see our outfits and didn’t have the best lighting for doing makeup.

The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The room offered a stunning view. The customer service was excellent. Additionally, the city center is just a five-minute drive away.

The room included loose tea leaves and coffee pods; however, supplying tea bags and instant coffee would enhance the amenities. Additionally, installing lighting near the main entrance from the main road leading to Hillcrest would improve visibility at night, making it easier to identify the turn into Hillcrest.

The view was amazing, looking over the town of Merimbula and out to the sea. The room was spacious with a huge, comfortable bed and a small sitting area. The best pillows we encountered on our week long trip. The bathroom was recently renovated with a large rain shower rose. The room still had a retro 1970s vibe which we really liked. The guest lounge area with comfortable seating had the most wonderful views. Little extras were provided like filtered water, extra coffee pods, a locked amenity room for extra towels or pillows. It was a bonus to find a microwave in the room and bowls and cutlery so we could have breakfast in the room.

That we only had one night here. We didn't have enough time to enjoy all the amenities on offer.

Sensational service after we arrived after hours - rooms easy to access with the heating and jazz creating a beautiful atmosphere. An unexpected upgrade to King size rooms with a balcony was so appreciated - especially for my 85 year old mother. Thankyou Chris and staff for another fabulous stay - we could not have had a better stay!
