I liked this hotel much better than what the advert on Booking was telling us. It was a very nice hotel, tastefully decorated, very close to the beach and the staff was absolutely adorable. Also the breakfast was very good and the staff that worked there every morning was very welcoming and friendly. My room was on the 5th floor, I had a nice view over the sea in the distance. The room was also very clean. A big bonus were the bikes that you can use. I used them every day and had much fun riding them! I would definitely come back to this place. This is really as a hotel should be!

The hotel rooftopbar is very lively in the evening, they play music and it can be a bit loud.

My partner and I absolutely loved our stay here. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, professional, and always willing to help. Breakfast was a highlight with a great variety of delicious options at the buffet. One day we decided to stay in and work from our laptops while enjoying breakfast on the terrace. The setting was beautiful and the staff were so accommodating, making sure we felt comfortable and well looked after. We also appreciated the convenience of being able to leave our key at reception, which is staffed at all times. This made things much easier, especially when heading out to the beach without having to worry about losing it. Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable for both of us. We had dinner at the restaurant one evening and the food was fantastic. We also tried the rooftop cocktails and our favourite was the Witch Sour. The beach is walking distance, plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. You do not need a car here! We came home with wonderful memories of Chiavari and our stay here made the trip extra special. Highly recommended!

The only thing that bothered us during our stay was the noise coming from the room above. One night it was loud enough to wake us up, and we had to call reception. The staff were very kind and responded quickly, resolving the issue right away. It definitely wasn’t their fault, some guests can be quite inconsiderate, especially late at night.

Shower was a bit small

EVERYTHING! The staff were amazing, every single one of them, so friendly and helpful and I love how you see the same ones everyday! The hotel is very beautiful, quaint and has great amenities. The roof top patio is STUNNING! I loved the AMAZING breakfast up there, with homemade breads and cakes and one night had a DJ. The kids playroom was an another amazing feature and they had bikes with a baby seat. The baby bed provided had beautiful bedding. Every detail in this hotel is nice, even the soap and the smell of the lobby. The vibe is relaxed and trendy. They went above and beyond to help us. They washed out baby bottles for us and interacted with our wild toddler. I will dream to go back to this hotel! It made our stay so special!

The shower is small

Excellent location, near to the sea and the old town. Fantastic breakfast - with the specialty of the terrace on top floor with views! The staff was very kind, rooms very clean. The beds were very comfortable. Overall we were very satisfied, we enjoyed staying in Chiavari very much!

Nothing to complain really, maybe the room size we expected to be a bit bigger for a 24sqm specification. But it was OK for what you can usually expect in Italy.

Close to the main attractions: harbor (5-7 minutes by foot), beach (3-4 minutes by foot) and the city center with the pedestrian street where there are restaurants and shops (4-5 minutes by foot). Don't miss for lunch or for dinner Osteria da Vittorio, located in the city center, where most of the clients are the locals (it's always full outside and inside and the food is great). The hotel is also close to the train station (4-5 minutes by foot), which is perfect for the ones who want to explore Cinque Terre, Sestri Levante, Camogli, Rapallo or Portofino. Our room, which was a triple room, was spacious and comfortable. The cleanliness is exemplary throughout the hotel, and the staff very kind. Breakfast, for the ones who visited Italy before, is typical Italian: lighter, yet sweeter (croissants, cookies, jams, honey), with some other options also, like cheese, ham, salami, omelette and fruits (apples and oranges).

There are no kind of vegetables available for breakfast (tomatoes, cucumbers, etc.).

Excellent hotel, far exceeding the star rating. Friendly staff, from front desk to housekeeping. Rooftop terrace for breakfast was delightful, with views across the town. Good choice of food for self serve breakfast. DJ/ music entertainment one evening was a great bonus, as was the on site restaurant. Easy access to the train station, beach front, shops and restaurants. Historical city with great architecture, and park areas. Recommended, will visit Stella del Mare/ Chiavari again in its own right.

We loved having breakfast on the (covered) rooftop every morning, Airconditioning was quiet and such a treat at the end of a hot day, staff were very friendly and professional, location of hotel was perfect : close to the beach and train station to nearby towns. Our room was big and comfortable. We loved our family stay here!

Very nice facilities, rooms were clean and spacious and the breakfast at the rooftop terrace amazing! Lovely customer service that made us feel very welcome. Good location; walking distance to the old city and to the beaches. Parking was organized in the nearby underground parking and was convenient.

Breakfast time some of the items were unavailable/ finished if you arrived in the middle of the breakfast time (especially brioshes)

Strategic location, few minutes by foot from the historical city Center and few minutes from the beaches. Perfect Greek restaurant in the same street. The hotel is under reconstruction. Rooms were spacious and clean. Small fridge in the room. Hotel offer very variable breakfast with very tasty local foccacia. We didn’t try the hotel restaurant, maybe with the next stay. Hotel offer paid parking in the underground garage few minutes by foot, you have to pick up the ticket for parking in the reception and you can unload and load the luggage in front of the hotel. The ladies in the reception were very kind and helpful, they order umbrellas on the beach for us twice and advise with the sightseeing.
