Location was very convenient. Is on the doorstep to Little Venice and the canal boat cruises. Less than 10 min walk into centre of town. My annex room was spacious and very comfortable. Loved the Lalique soap in the bathroom. After dinner I lost my way to my room. A lovely guy from reception walked with me to my annex room.

A map of the hotel would have been useful for those not staying in the main building. I was told the hotel is spread over 3 buildings, with several stairs at different entry points. Also there were 4 keys to use to access the hotel and enter my room. A bit cumbersome. However it's a beautiful luxurious hotel. Definitely worth staying for the experience.

Excellent option in Colmar, extremely well located. It's a very nice hotel, incredible breakfast. I'd recommend it to make it your base to visit not only Colmar but other small towns, castles, winerys and attractions in Alsace

The bed was a little bit small and not extremely comfotable. Our room was one floor up with no elevator, not a problem for us, but maybe for some, however the staff was very friendly and eager to help. Parking in the area is tricky, we were lucky to find and empty spot on the street with metered parking. Otherwise you need to pay for a more expensive parking.

An Unforgettable Stay in Colmar My wife and I had an incredible experience staying at this beautiful hotel in Colmar, France. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the exquisite decor, which created a warm and elegant atmosphere both inside and out. The staff was exceptionally professional and attentive, ensuring every detail of our stay was just right. Although our original room was uncomfortably hot due to a malfunctioning air conditioner, the wonderful team quickly and graciously relocated us to another room. The location couldn’t have been better, right in the heart of town near Little Venice, surrounded by stunning architecture, charming shops, excellent restaurants, and historic landmarks. It was a truly amazing stay. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a relaxed, memorable experience in the heart of Colmar.

The air conditioner

Nice and clean place with friendly, helpful staff. Very cozy and perfectly in harmony with the overall style of the city. Located right in the center but on a quiet street, it’s the perfect location.

Parking worked out in the end, but the process could be made even smoother with clearer instructions on how to access the area and open the boxes. Having that guidance upfront would save guests from needing to go back and forth, especially on hot days. The safe in the room was also a bit tricky at first. A short set of written instructions with pictures would be a wonderful addition and make it much easier for anyone not familiar with this system. With a few small adjustments like these, the overall experience would be even more seamless.

A very pleasant hotel situated in an older building which has all the charm and limitations that accompany the age of the structure. Our room was on the first (not ground) floor overlooking the canal. The area around the bed was a bit tight, but we also had a lovely little sitting area and and abundance of storage space. The bathroom had a large hydro jet bathtub, with the usual European style hand shower attached. The room came with a coffee pot and a hot water kettle as well as a mini bar/fridge. We also had a great split air conditioner which was very good a maintaining a consistent temperature. You really can’t beat the location of the hotel. It is on the correct side of the canal, right in a very picturesque neighborhood. It is a short walk to most of the museums and sites that visitors who travel to Colmar want to see. There are many very good restaurants in the area and lots of places to spend your money. We had one dinner at the hotel, (reservations strongly recommended) it was nice. We could have had more but the kitchen was closed on two of the nights of our stay. The included breakfast was adequate but not exceptional. Service however was excellent. An added plus was the public parking lot (limited number of spaces) directly across the street from the hotel. This requires that you have an app on your phone (Pay by Phone) with which to make payment. Easy peasy. This was a very nice place to stay and I would be happy to return if the opportunity arises.

No complaints. Just remember it’s an old structure and has its resulting limitations (no elevator, narrow hallways etc) but overall it’s an excellent place to stay.

When we walked through the doors of the hotel we immediately felt at home. After a long drive from Paris, it was great to be greeted by friendly staff and shown to our immaculate and well-apportioned rooms. We were upgraded to a larger suite (the Wagner Room) and our daughter stayed close by in her own room, both with excellent views of the "Little Venice " canal. The rooms were comfortable and quiet and we loved waking up in the morning to birdsong and the stillness and excitement of an Alsatian village starting to come to life. The breakfast was fantastic and had a great mix of hot and cold, sweet and savory, and juices and bubbly to start the day. The staff was all first rate and our server at breakfast was so full of joy and happiness, she couldn't help but make you smile. A great start to great days in the Alsace.

Even though we were in a charming larger room with an obviously upgraded bathroom, we only had a jacuzzi tub with a shower head, but no separate shower. This was fine and we made it work. In many ways, it forced us to slow down and actually enjoy a bath for once and not simply rush to start our day with a quick shower. So is this a positive or a negative? Not quite sure... ;-)

Lovely hotel set in Colmar, ideal base for exploring the city. The room was comfortable with a nice view of the canal but quite small. Good air conditioning in the room and a comfortable bed. The breakfast the next morning was exceptional in lovely surroundings and the serving staff were cheerful and helpful.

This was our most expensive stopover on our road trip and I feel it is a little overpriced although I accept that you pay a premium for the location in lovely Colmar. No parking at the hotel, we parked at a location approximately 10 minutes walk from the hotel.

The hotel was what we expected. It was in a great location. Room was a decent size and the bathroom was functional. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

The restaurant staff were slow (long to take a drink order for example). We sat there forever and then when it was time to order the waiter did not explain the menu (most places were great about this), which was a little confusing for our group and he also appeared very non- attentive. The food was decent, but it was the only meal on our trip that we were disappointed with.

Perfect location, right at the entrance of one of the markets, a 15-minute walk from the train station, with a well-marked path. The hotel is spectacular, preserving traditional architecture and decor while modernizing to ensure comfort. It was the perfect spot to end the trip! Super comfortable and very central to the markets, allowing us to combine comfort with not missing a thing. At times, the hotel entrance, due to its incredible Christmas decorations, becomes a tourist attraction, making the guest feel like a VIP upon entering, with so many cameras pointed at the entrance.

Sometimes the movement of the different doors in the hotel can be heard inside the rooms.

WOW! First time in Colmar and randomly picked this hotel! I loved it so much I stayed another night! I was not in the main building but next door. Had the best sleep. So quiet, bed was so cozy, room was warm. I LOVED the breakfast wow! I treated myself to a multi course dinner and tried about three new dishes which I loved! Staff was lovely! 10/10 loved it!

The actual room could use some TLC. Needs some updating. Walls cleaned under the heating/ac units. Maybe put a picture where the nail is in the wall. The vent in the bathroom needs a major cleaning! Carpet needs cleaned!
