very friendly, pleasant staff….reception lady was excellent. travelling on a small budget…you will not find better in Chur for the money. ( Switzerland is not a low price destination) very clean , homely feel. excellent breakfast. good coffee. Nice little restaurant with local dishes.

No lift…but i was offered help with my luggage room small…..but with both of these mentioned, pricewise you wont find better.

10-15 min walk away from the main station. Very humble and nice breakfast in a very cute and well-decorated restaurant. Having a sink in the room was also very convenient and practical.

The rooms are located above the restaurant. When I checked in during the evening, the restaurant was full and kitchen was actively running at that time of the day. Naturally, the smell of food had spread everywhere, which was quite strong for me. For those who are sensitive, this might be unpleasant. But of course after a while you get used to it. I also wasn't a fan of the shared bathroom, but I believe this is common in Chur. I couldn't find another budget-friendly option with a private bathroom.

Great location, the price was ok, lower than other properties in Chur, but quite expensive in my opinion for what it is. The breakfast was of good quality and the coffee was great, clean and comfortable beds, fluffy soft towels. Fellow travellers, it makes no sense to give a bad review for a hotel that advertises rooms with shared toilets: you booked it, it was your choice, just because you didn't like, it is not reasonable that you complain about the shared toilets. I personally didn't find any major inconvenience to having the shared toilet, it was never busy when I needed to use it, it was always clean.

The noise made by the doors of rooms when locking and unlocking. I thought it was too cold in the room, due to old windows / poor insulation.

Hotel was clean. Bed and bedding very comfortable. Breakfast that was included was delicious. I ate at the restaurant the night I arrived and the pasta dish was excellent. Homemade pasta with spinach and creamy alp cheese. Every member of the hotel team was personable and helpful. Very close to the train station.

My only concern was the electricity blinked and went off and on. I had to leave early so it was a challenge on the morning, but the person that was going to work on it was there when I was leaving so I'm sure the problem is solved. The shower/toilet room is not private but I knew that prior and would still stay again.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The location, in the old town, was good for sightseeing, yet within walking distance of the station. The hotel had a ground floor bar/restaurant which was no more expensive than comparable establishments, and I ate there every evening.

Basically, I had forgotten, or not registered how expensive Switzerland is in comparison even with London. So I chose not to pay for an ensuite room, which brings its own disadvantages (though there were a number of WCs and showers on the same floor). The breakfast was more than adequate, but not not luxurious. The bar in the adjacent building had set up televisions outside which people congregated at in order to watch the Euros football, so it got noisy in the evenings.

In the beautiful old town, 10 min walk from railway station. Clean.

My 3rd floor room was over a small square. Very beautiful, but in the same time noisy. The old windows will not seal sounds from the street or weather. The older receptionist lady is not very helpful. She even asked me for money for having my own dinner box heted up in the microwave. However, Anna (younger receptionist) was super helpful and very professional, helping right away with anything, including food and adapter. Big thank-you!

Excellent location in the middle of the beautiful old town, a short walk from the railway station. Breakfast was good (better than I expected). Reception was supposed to close at 10 p.m. but as I sent a message and informed the reception that our train is late and we'll arrive a little after ten o'clock, they responded that they'll wait and the reception will be open till then. Everything worked just fine and smooth. We had a room facing the backyard, so it was quiet. The only noise was made by some other travellers getting into their rooms later in the night. The day of the departure we were able to leave our luggages to the store room until heading for the train station again. Could stay here again if coming back to Chur one day.

The wooden bed was a bit noisy. I generally don't like the carpets in the hotels (difficult to keep them clean) but maybe a carpet in the corridor would help to quiet down the noise made by the fellow travellers?

The hotel has the best location in the historical part of Chur 3 minutes from the train station. On the main bus route and train to Arosa. It's warm and welcoming. It's a budget hotel all the others were far too expensive for us as a family. Yes you share toilets and showers with other rooms but they are clean.

The corridors are tiled so when guests are moving suitcases about or talking the sound wakes you up.

The iconic hotel was in a fantastic location in centre of the old town. Also just 10 minutes from train station. We had an ensuite room - very comfortable. We loved spending a night there - a great experience. Nice breakfast too. Wonderful to walk around cobbled streets nearby.

Only issue was it was very noisy until about 11pm and from 6am, as above a square with bars and cafes. Not sure how that would be at weekends. However this was negated by the great location.

Our room was looking to a small square and we could also see the mountains behind, all the buildings had this cute Swiss style which we loved a lot. The hotel is in the centre of the old town and the river is also only few minutes walk away. I even liked that cute clock on the top of the building which was quietly beating every half an hour. Staff was also very helpful, greetings to the Portuguese girl :))

The neighbourhood was very loud at night.
