Breakfast was great, they had eggs, sausage, pancakes, bagels and toast, milk & juices, flavored water, yogurts, and the hours for the weekend were 7am to 10am, location was close to the highway, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed using the pool, and the fitness room had a lot of options.

We were on the back side of the hotel, so while the sound from the racetrack was never a bother for us, we could hear the 95-highway traffic all night, so we tried to sleep with the TV on to drown out the traffic noise.

Clean, easy access location adjacent to I-95 Front desk staff was extremely kind and helpful.

Most of the parking nearest the entrance was marked “reserved for diamond members”. Ordinarily, not a problem, but since I arrived in the middle of a monsoon it was an enormous pain in the a___. As a first time guests, that alone is enough to make me not want to come back, or visit any more Tru properties, and left me with no desire to ever become a “diamond” member. When I did finally make it to my assigned room, the inside security door latch prevented me from opening the door, so I had to lug all my bags back down stairs to the front desk and get another room. Not fun if you’ve been driving for 10 hours with the last hour in torrential rains.

Newer hotel with decent free breakfast. Staff was very helpful. Great views of race track from the room (no activity when we were there so no noise or traffic issues). Room and common areas of hotel were clean. Nearby town has decent Italian and Mexican restaurants. Stonewall Jackson Death Site, five miles away, is worth a quick visit.

Had trouble getting TV to work after arrival (staff came to room to help). Too much noise from nearby I-95 and truck stop when trying to sleep. No yogurt made available at breakfast, which confused me (stay at a lot of Tru hotels and there's always yogurt). One elevator makes very strange noises (somewhat concerning).

Saved the day for my family in the middle of the night by accommodating us with the last available room after we fled a hotel in doswell due to bugs and filth 7/27. 2nd time staying here this month and I think we have a new traveling home away from home. The evening ladies who have checked us in on both occasions this month have been so sweet and welcoming. My son loved the unique touch of the pool table in the lobby.

I only wish it had a microwave in the rooms. However, this hotel really is fabulous!

It was so comfortable! The late checkout was great. It was nice not to feel rushed to leave. The shower was great. Everything was really clean and looked brand new. We will definitely be back.

We were laughing about the air conditioner in the room sounding like a plane starting and then stopping lol. The TV signal went out for a bit, but that was expected from how bad that storm had gotten.

It was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good.

I am a deaf woman traveling with my support dog and they charged me a fee for my dog. I’ve never been charged a fee for my support dog before. I asked for a lower level accessible room. I was put on the 3rd floor. Being on a very limited income it was not great to be charged for my hearing dog.

Friendly staff, good breakfast, clean rooms. I really liked the double blinds, the room darkening and the sheer one. It made the morning nice to have some light come in but not too much. The shampoo, conditioner and soap were good quality and smelled nice. I also appreciated that they had lotion at the bathroom sink! We didn't use the gym or the pool table but both looked nice. They also have a cute outdoor seating area that would have been nice but we didn't have time to use that either.

Could use better pillows and side tables on both sides of the beds.

Hotel was in great shape as it is newer (3 years old) and room was very clean with a great layout and VFP flooring. Good lighting and cold AC!! Ice machine (with a stack of ice buckets!) and hydration station were conveniently located near the elevator right off the lobby

Appreciate the free hot breakfast but heating element was so hot for eggs and sausage that both were dried out. Again, free, so I overlooked this small issue.

It was a very convenient place to stay. The parking lot was easy to get in & out of with a travel trailer in tow. The bathroom was huge & had an abundant supply of soap & towels. I really like the personal greeting that was on the tv in the room! The breakfast was pretty good!

Liked the modern feel. Friendly staff. Hot breakfast items, but a waffle maker would be nice since the pancakes take a really long time. Liked the lobby and coffee bar. I really liked the soft pillows and comfortable bed.

I did not like not having a coffee pot and microwave in the room. I find them helpful. It felt like having the microwave only in lobby was there to entice us to buy their expensive items to put in the microwave.
