Beautiful property, finished with great style by the owner. Very warm welcome, and couldn’t have been any more helpful with information about the house and the town. Room was very comfortable with great bed and wonderful bathroom. Breakfast was simple, but full of home grown and home made ingredients.

Didn’t bother us, but the spiral staircase might challenge anybody with mobility issues.

This slightly out of the town hotel was a good find for us as we were cycling the Flow Velo Route along the Charente River and it was not far off the route just outside Saint Savinien. Genevieve the host was charming and very welcoming and was able to provide us with a Meal with Wine sitting in her lovely garden that evening. Storage for our bikes was secure and easy. Breakfast was very good with nice Coffee. Overall a really nice place. The room we had had been decorated with real flair and was very comfortable.

This is a beautifully presented property where the owner has given exceptional attention to detail. The rooms are well-equipped with great beds and spacious bathrooms. Super clean and tidy throughout. The breakfast was just perfect. We would hope to be able to stay again and I have no hesitation in recommending.

It is always a pleasure to be in a place that is satisfying to the senses, a place that is beautifully designed and maintained, that is comfortable and calm, where the hosts are pleasant, attentive and welcoming. La Burie hit all of these marks for me. Breakfast in the garden was delightful, all the more so for the pleasant company of other interesting travelers (and a particularly friendly cat!).

My stay at La Burie has most definitely been the highlight of my 10day bike packing tour. Genevieve has been a superb host- great reception, providing fantastic breakfast with lots of homemade stuff and even offering a delicious dinner which was totally unexpected! The rooms are completely renovated and super nicely decorated. I more than recommend this place! ☺️

Breakfast was very good with a mix of French and British breakfast (without the eggs!!) in a lovely dining room and friendly hostess and…..friendly and lovely cats coming to greet us every morning

Absolutely beautiful house! Genevieve has renovated La Burie with gorgeous decor and modern fixtures. Extremely clean and very comfortable. Lovely breakfast with homemade jams and great coffee. She is very kind and helpful.

Lovely old property that has been excellently renovated. Very comfortable stay visiting family locally over Christmas. Excellent host who is extremely helpful. Good breakfast.

Breakfast was served in a very friendly and homely way with homemade jam and yoghurt. Friendly talk with the host in a castle like house. Above expectations in every way. We will be back when we can, this was a stop driving from Spain to Norway.

We cannot think of anything that we did not like.

Beautifully and tastefully decorated house with super friendly owner. She was available to answer any questions we had, including restaurant tips. The breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed the days very much and would come back anytime. Thank you very much.
