What a fabulous find . A great peaceful location enroute from UK to Portugal . This beautiful converted farmhouse where all rooms have their own terrace . A summer outdoor dining area beside the pool . We pre booked supper , which was excellent,3 courses all homemade for 22 euros . A very warm welcome . We will most definitely return. Thankyou

Fabulous french breakfast. Absolutely spotless, so very clean and tidy. Generous room and perfect bathroom. Great to have an electric blind. Amazing host, so friendly and helpful. Excellent English, and happy to help with french lessons. Food was great, delicious sharing board. Pool was so clean and so welcome on a hot afternoon. Would love to go back.

I loved everything. We arrived very early and Ludivine very kindly allowed us check in. Les Cuves is stunning. Our room was beautiful and extremely comfortable. We sat on terrace outside and it was so quiet and peaceful. Then I had the nicest dinner I’ve had in a long time. We both had a great nights sleep. the room was spacious bed was very comfortable and it was so quiet. this morning we had a beautiful breakfast. I cannot wait to come back. I would give Les Cuves 20 stars if I could!

A huge amount of effort has gone in to making this a wonderful stay. We only stayed one night en route to Portugal, and found it very convenient from the motorway, spotlessly clean, very comfortable, with tasty, reasonably priced food for dinner and again for breakfast and all in beautiful peaceful surroundings. We had a lovely terrace that was perfect for catching the evening sun after a long drive. would definitely stay here again. lovely friendly, welcoming owner too, who speaks good English. Very happy!

Nothing to dislike

We arrived early, but were greeted in the most charming way by our hosts. Ludovine spoke English to us and we replied in French, which caused much amusement. I had common ground with Cyril as we both enjoyed and took part in motor sport. The guests’ building, which is part of their house, is cleverly designed. They built it themselves with care and flair- it really does work well.

Breakfast was a little meagre. Some cereal or muesli and maybe a bit of fruit would have been welcome.

A brilliant place! The hotel is in the countryside, but only a few minutes' drive from the bakery which also sells other food. Quiet as you like. The host waited for our arrival, showed us the room, the dining area etc. The room was on the ground floor (I think they all are), and big with an bigger terrace, the bed comfy , the shower powerful enough to make my hair grow again. And the pool was accessible from the outside. Couldn't be better.

Warm welcome and excellent service from co-owner Ludivine. Visionary and exceptional standard of finish in the restoration of the property in 2020. Very good breakfast and dinner if desired. A first-rate stay.

No negatives at all.

The room standard was high and although I didn't use other facilities the outside areas were very attractive and well appointed.

The in-room drinks were served on an unstable tray, milk was not offered for tea /coffee, and the cups were small, so it didn't encourage you to take advantage of these.

In every way the accommodation, location, facilities and breakfast were perfect. Ludowine was the best hostess as well. Thank you we will return soon.

The host was very friendly and helpful, it is a lovely property and very comfortable. We visited in winter so could not avail of the lovely swimming pool and garden. Excellent base to explore the area, of course Saintes is only a few kilometers away and the seaside town of Royan is only half hour away. Also worth visiting is Cognac, it is a very nice place with Museums of Hennessy and Martell brandy to explore.
