A delightful, friendly hotel, close to the centre of Nimes and easily accessible from the railway station. We loved the quirky old building, but welcomed the effective air conditioning and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent and good value. We were provided with a helpful map and recommendations for nearby restaurants. We loved Nimes itself - the architecture, the history, and the Thursday evening live music during the summer months!

Nothing, though the stairs would have been an issue for anyone with mobility problems.

In a quiet very neighborhood close to the train station and easy walking distance to all sites and activities. The room was large, clean, bright with a comfortable bed. Huge bathroom and shower, room to hang towels. The breakfast was very good. Staff extremely helpful and accommodating.

The breakfast room was quite small and it was often difficult to find chairs to sit at the table when there were a lot of people. It was a festival weekend which may have impacted when people chose to have breakfast.

Fantastic location quick walk from/to the train station and the historic area (arena). The staff was lovely and helpful. If you reserve DO include the breakfast, the hotel offers a very nice breakfast. We do prefer a more European style breakfast of yogurt with muesli and perhaps some good bread with cheese and meat but the hotel also offers many cereals, pastries, hot eggs, ham and pancakes. We do always shut off the a/c when we leave the room but the unit cools off the room very quickly for your return. The bed was very comfy but we both prefer a firm mattress. Lovely, modern walk-in shower. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again.

Toilet closet without fans are a pet peeve of mine but that is often a trade off for staying in a historic city with lovely old buildings.

It's perfectly located near to the railway station, we're interrailing so that's important to us. It's also in a quiet location, and in a beautiful building with a sweeping staircase. Information about the city, places to eat and visit were provided on arrival, by helpful and friendly staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were quick to respond to queries and requests for additional shampoo and loo rolls as we had left the Do not Disturb sign in error so housekeeping had not been able to check. We booked an extra night directly as our travel plans had changed last minute. I would happily stay there again but maybe upgrade the room.

There's not 24 hour reception. Late arrivals have to let themselves in. The optional breakfast was hit and miss. While there was an excellent range of teas, fresh bread, pastries and fruit, the hot components were luke warm. For the same cost we had a far superior breakfast at Farmers, a five minute walk away in the old town. Maybe they stick to a simpler breakfast of bread and pastries at a lower cost in future? Only one towel per person provided. No hand towels, only on request.

Location is excellent. Under 5 minutes walk from the train station. In a quiet street. A few minutes walk from the hotel to the lovely open area called The Esplanade which is in front of the Amphitheatre. Easy walking distance to the centre of Nîmes and all the sights. Staff very friendly and helpful. Large room with high ceilings and air conditioning plus a kettle to make hot drinks. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Excellent location near station and old city centre. Friendly simple hotel with spacious comfy room and good shower. Excellent breakfast with good choice. Helpful staff. I have been coming to this hotel for over 30 years. It improves!

No lift! But staff helped us get our bags upstairs and they do have ground floor rooms.

The hotel is near the station tucked down a quiet street, the perfect base from which to explore. The rooms are a good size with everything you need - mine looked over the roof tops towards the arena.

The bathroom was tiny with limited space to get into the small shower. This would hinder some visitors with mobility issues.

Breakfast was good - fromage blanc was a nice touch and the coffee machine too. Large bed and spacious room. Kind of interesting to have my own front door on to the street. Definitely quiet! Secluded with a pleasant private terrace.

The kitchen/hall area was a bit strange, and the lack of a window blind meant people could see in from the street. I think there was no hanging area for clothes in the bedroom.

The apartment at Hotel Majestic was very comfortably furnished, ample, and well supplied. Our kids especially enjoyed using the games machine but we managed to get them onto the garden trampoline too! The hotel itself is well-located for arrival by train and a short walk from the main sights.

The breakfast is nothing special for the price, and the dishwasher in the apartment didn't clean so well.

I booked this overnight visit last minute but was pleased. The hotel was easy to find and in a great location, very near beautiful fountains, the Roman arena, and other historical sites. Staff were very cheerful, helpful, and accommodating. Nimes is an extraordinary city for which I needed to allot more time for exploration. I will definitely be back and would choose to stay at this hotel again.
