Good water pressure. Good hot water. Very large room with tall ceilings. Good breakfast with excellent scrambled eggs. We arrived too late to see the sites (just walked around town that night), they allowed us to store our luggage free while we checked out the collesium (a must see), the Tour Magne and gardens (also a must see), you can skip the Maison Carree. Exceptionally friendly people. You can buy water, sodas, beer, wine, etc at the hotel at reasonable prices.

More of a precaution for us Americans than a dislike. Europeans instinctively know. When you walk out of the hotel, your 2nd step puts you into the side street. Look for speeding cars before you step.

A delightful, friendly hotel, close to the centre of Nimes and easily accessible from the railway station. We loved the quirky old building, but welcomed the effective air conditioning and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent and good value. We were provided with a helpful map and recommendations for nearby restaurants. We loved Nimes itself - the architecture, the history, and the Thursday evening live music during the summer months!

Nothing, though the stairs would have been an issue for anyone with mobility problems.

In a quiet very neighborhood close to the train station and easy walking distance to all sites and activities. The room was large, clean, bright with a comfortable bed. Huge bathroom and shower, room to hang towels. The breakfast was very good. Staff extremely helpful and accommodating.

The breakfast room was quite small and it was often difficult to find chairs to sit at the table when there were a lot of people. It was a festival weekend which may have impacted when people chose to have breakfast.

Fantastic location quick walk from/to the train station and the historic area (arena). The staff was lovely and helpful. If you reserve DO include the breakfast, the hotel offers a very nice breakfast. We do prefer a more European style breakfast of yogurt with muesli and perhaps some good bread with cheese and meat but the hotel also offers many cereals, pastries, hot eggs, ham and pancakes. We do always shut off the a/c when we leave the room but the unit cools off the room very quickly for your return. The bed was very comfy but we both prefer a firm mattress. Lovely, modern walk-in shower. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again.

Toilet closet without fans are a pet peeve of mine but that is often a trade off for staying in a historic city with lovely old buildings.

Great location on a quiet street between the train station and roman arena. The staff were super friendly and helpful, they gave us a map and good suggestions for restaurants and happily stored our luggage after checkout so we could enjoy more time in town. The room felt new and clean, bed very comfortable. Everything was better than I expected at this price point.

lighting in bath was dim but this is a minor complaint

Good location for us, near the train station, as we used Nimes to break our long train trip into two parts. This worked perfectly and the hotel, not fancy, met our needs and the price was right. We appreciated the relatively good lighting in the room.

The room felt a bit like a large college dorm room. As I said, not fancy. Small, but adequate bathroom, with no electrical outlet in it.

It's perfectly located near to the railway station, we're interrailing so that's important to us. It's also in a quiet location, and in a beautiful building with a sweeping staircase. Information about the city, places to eat and visit were provided on arrival, by helpful and friendly staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were quick to respond to queries and requests for additional shampoo and loo rolls as we had left the Do not Disturb sign in error so housekeeping had not been able to check. We booked an extra night directly as our travel plans had changed last minute. I would happily stay there again but maybe upgrade the room.

There's not 24 hour reception. Late arrivals have to let themselves in. The optional breakfast was hit and miss. While there was an excellent range of teas, fresh bread, pastries and fruit, the hot components were luke warm. For the same cost we had a far superior breakfast at Farmers, a five minute walk away in the old town. Maybe they stick to a simpler breakfast of bread and pastries at a lower cost in future? Only one towel per person provided. No hand towels, only on request.

Location is excellent. Under 5 minutes walk from the train station. In a quiet street. A few minutes walk from the hotel to the lovely open area called The Esplanade which is in front of the Amphitheatre. Easy walking distance to the centre of Nîmes and all the sights. Staff very friendly and helpful. Large room with high ceilings and air conditioning plus a kettle to make hot drinks. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Excellent location near station and old city centre. Friendly simple hotel with spacious comfy room and good shower. Excellent breakfast with good choice. Helpful staff. I have been coming to this hotel for over 30 years. It improves!

No lift! But staff helped us get our bags upstairs and they do have ground floor rooms.

The hotel is near the station tucked down a quiet street, the perfect base from which to explore. The rooms are a good size with everything you need - mine looked over the roof tops towards the arena.

The bathroom was tiny with limited space to get into the small shower. This would hinder some visitors with mobility issues.
