The location and views were fantastic. The hotel is a lovely find just outside Gegenbach as were there for the Christmas market. The hills and forests around it are beautiful. The hotel restaurant was great fun. We were there on a Saturday night and it was packed with locals which is always a good sign. There were numerous parties and get togethers happening for the Christmas season. The food was very tasty. The breakfast was good. The room was clean which is extremely important as was the bathroom if not both of them a bit dated. It is a nice hotel to stop at for sure.

A bit of updating of the ensuite bathroom to match the ladies cloakroom in the restaurant area would be nice.

What a perfect spot for a stop over. We were on our way home after a week in Italy and could not have asked for a better place to spend our evening and night. The hotel has a magnificent view. The road wasn't very busy, so all we heard was the water in the stream across the road. The food in the restaurant was very good and the staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good too. A funny robot cat brought our coffee to the table. So much fun for the children!

Very well located family run Hotel and Restaurant. Playground for kids and skittle alley at the property. Train station for regional trains at 100m. Hiking trails start behind the house. Ideal for kids.

On a motorcycle tour a comfy bed and decent breakfast is ideal - the hotel delivered.

Getting a taxi into town was problematic - its not their fault - just not enough taxis locally.

Personnel was great, very friendly and willing to help. We took our dog and we could take it everywhere, even to the restaurant. Location reasonably close to the main highway. Very green and quiet area. Great place for a stopover of one night. Nice breakfast.

The room was very simple and outdated (although clean). Basically no amenities in the room e.g. a small refrigerator and/or coffee machine. As a consequence price is somewhat high for the quality of (mainly) the room and amenities.

The location is in the countryside, with walks from the door of the hotel. The bowling alley was below our room, but very well soundproofed, so we could not hear anything in our room. There was a good sized car park, and very close to bus stop and train station.

Hotel is awesome and located in very beautiful place. During Christmas Hotel was decorated very well and it was like filmy. My wife and I enjoyed a lot. I uploaded some pics😊 from Hotel Black Forest is very near and can enjoy beautiful drive when it’s snowing 😊😍

Lovely traditional hotel, free parking, spacious rooms, friendly staff, very good food and dinner and breakfast.

Only negative was noise in bedroom from the road.

Good food and the waitress kept the beer coming. Small 10 pin bowling alley on site

Close to a busy local road. Traffic noise started from 0600. Might have been less noticeable with the windows shut but it was too warm for that.
