Very nicely situated, around the corner from campus. Comfortable room, cute patio, very good cook (for ahi tuna, scallops, and steak) in the bar/bistrot downstairs that works with the hotel. Nice little pool @ the spa. Very unobtrusive cleaning ladies, they got in whenever I was away, just cleaned the floor, made the bed (even professionally folded my Tshirt) but didn't disturb the order of things as I had left them there.

The personnel @ the reception could have been a bit more professional and less work-shy. Before leaving, my luggage was placed in a broom closet! I grabbed my backpack that contained electronics and a female assistant receptionist reacted by grabbing me in a restrictive bear hug (!!) while screaming "This is restricted area - prohibido" – an experience of a kind... :/

Good location, nice bed

The bathroom was glass and mirrors, with the glass door so large that you have to squeeze past it, then shut it, to get around the sink and get near the toilet. The shower had a swinging glass door which had be moved in order to open the main glass door, and to give you a little spot to squeeze into as you swing the big door closed. All this with mirrored walls in every direction. Try this while sleepy in the middle of the night. Bumped my noggin on invisible doors or mirrors each excursion. See photos

This hotel boasts an excellent location, conveniently situated near the market, library, and a plethora of restaurants, cafes, and bars. The friendly staff handled the 2025 blackout with remarkable efficiency. The cleaning staff deserves a special mention; my room was immaculate every day.

The furniture appears to be of IKEA quality, which is perfectly acceptable.

Very comfortable hotel near the historic city. The interior is modern, the staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very fresh with a good variety and friendly staff who makes sure that you get your coffee as you like it. The clean an modern rooms make you feel at home.

The windows make sure that the noise from the lively nightlife stays outside. Nevertheless, sensitive persons might prefer a hotel more outside the city center. If you are not fond of strong vanilla scent, book a room more upstairs as the lobby is filled with it.

The location of the hotel couldn't be better for visiting and walking around Oviedo. The staff was friendlly and helpful with finding out about venues opened and closed. Breakfast was served at the Munia, the selection was very good and my morning coffee was brought to me at the table.

It's understandable and not a big deal, but there is no longer a reception desk at the Fruela, this function now being across the street at the Munia.

Clean and comfortable with helpful staff, at the heart of Oviedo’s best bits. Modern shopping on one side, charming old town on the other. We had a junior suite which gave us a little extra space but perhaps at the cost of only having a skylight; but being on a relatively ordinary street it wasn’t much of a loss. We had no problems using the valet parking. Oviedo is a great place to visit and we would definitely use Fruela (or Munia, the sister hotel over the road) if we go back.

Being quite critical the junior suite was still quite small compared to other hotels- maybe better to think of it as paying for more furniture rather than space (some might also value the spa bath too). Only a minor point- we would probably still choose this option if we came again.

A comfortable hotel on a quiet street and in an ideal location walking all around Oviedo. There is a taxi stand just outside the front door of the hotel. Friendly, helpful hotel staff which is now combined with that of the Munia across the street.

Perhaps as a cost-saving move, the Fruela no longer has its own reception desk. Hotel check-in and out is done across the street at the Hotel Munia.

Very nice hotel in a perfect location for exploring Oviedo on foot. We really loved our room, it was very spacious, very clean and we mostly loved the window blinds that completely blocked the light. They even have a pillow menu (but we were happy with the pillows we had). The staff was super helpful and friendly. The restaurant downstairs (not part of the hotel) was exceptional!

Can't think of anything we didn't like, we had a very enjoyable stay in Oviedo!

Location excellent, there is no better place. Beds were confortable. Pillows ok.

The bathroom is a little uncomfortable, to pick the towels , you need to close the door. To get out of the bathtub, you must skip the bidet. There is no enough place to put stuff.

The location was superb! Everything we needed was nearby like food, shopping, the Cathedral, the park and excellent coffee. The price was reasonable and although we didn’t interact with the staff very often, when we did, they were very polite and very, very helpful.

Nothing! Would stay here again and would highly recommend it.
