Our second visit to this gorgeous little pub in Wilton, but our first stay. The bedroom was compact, but cute, and the bathroom was large & spacious with a good sized shower. Bed and pillows were very comfy too. The real highlight at the Greyhound is the food however. A wonderful menu with lots of choice and fresh, local ingredients. The breakfast included was amazing too and kept us going all day. All in all, a really lovely stay and we will definitely be back!

The room we stayed in only has a double bed which is a bit small for my 6’2” husband. My feet touched the bottom of the bed but his hung over the end of the bed by a fair bit! It didn’t matter for one night but would have been impossible for a longer stay.

Good location, very pleasant staff, really nice restaurant, and garden area. Easy access to Salisbury via bus few yards away. The attic apartment is very roomy, and nice views over the square .

No shower in bathroom, just a bath with a small shower attachment but as the bath is set into the apex you cannot stand up. Not suitable for people with limited mobility. Kitchen big but dishwasher was filthy inside and unusable. Generally the rooms could have done with a deep clean, there is a lot dusty areas, behind things and on ceilings where it seems the daily cleaning is only superficial. I stayed here before in one of the other rooms with similar dust issues. Not good if you have dust allergies .

Different to find a negative thing to say. Oldie worldly pub with rooms with all the character and no negatives. Our room was comfortable and the bathroom up a staircase but easy to navigate at night. The food in the pub restaurant was very good and the survice the same. Despite it being midweek in march I would recommend booking because it was very busy with locals. A very good sign of quality and value for money. The excellent and very inexpensive bus ride to Salisbury was opposite the pub entrance so no terrible and expensive city centre experience to deal with. Highly recommend and will stay again.

Tiny thing. A small shelving unit in a large walk in wardrobe would have made folding and storing clothes easier.

Friendly cheerful staff, keen to oblige. We ate elsewhere for dinner (family gathering) but breakfast next morning was delicious. The only thing I missed was plain rolled oats - there was only muesli, nuts, seeds and some packet cereals out on the bar counter, and I didn't see porridge was on the menu until too late.

Only two things - terrified of glass containers (for shampoo, body wash etc) in the shower room. Surely plastic containers (which can be refilled endlessly) would be safer? Secondly, a few more hooks to hang up clothes - I had a long coat which I had to hang on the curtain rail!

From the minute we arrived the staff were brilliant. The room was very large and well equipped, the bed was extremely comfortable. The restaurant served excellent food, it really was yummy and filling. We ate twice in the evenings and had breakfast the 3 days we stayed and I loved it all. The staff provided ideas of where to visit locally Parking is out the front which is ideal. It was my birthday and they gave me prosecco which was wonderful. The staff really were so nice. I cannot rate this place enough, I really didn't want to leave. It was brilliant. Well done.

We were in room Avon which overlooked the front. You could hear some noise from outside and the restaurant when busy, however we always wear ear plugs to sleep so it didn't bother us at all but it may others.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating,nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was lovely, especially the homemade yogurt pots with lemon in. Rest of breakfast choices were excellent and tasty. Had dinner here too which was delicious. Room (family/garden suite) was brilliant for us.

In the suite we had a microwave, fridge and sink with washing up liquid but no plug for the sink and absolutely no crockery or cutlery, plus a cloth in order wipe down the table would have been useful but that is the only fault.

We stayed in the coach house, which was lovely and well appointed. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast was delicious. Our only regret was that we didn't spend more time there...

We asked for a late checkout because my wife wasn't feeling well. There was a 15 pound surcharge, which only allowed us an extra hour. In fairness, they told us this would be the deal and we took it, but the added cost seemed excessive for one hour since the booking is already quite pricy.

We were warmly greeted by our hosts, and found all the staff to be friendly and quietly efficient, ensuring a lovely two night stay. We had excellent breakfasts, of eggs benedict, from a good selection of quality choices. We also had two evening meals here, which were from a large menu of choices, and also a specials range. The home made ice cream and other desserts were tempting, and we eventually gave in! There is a good range of wines and beers, which we sampled, and the room we had booked was beautifully presented, just off the courtyard pub garden, with a table just outside our door, for morning coffee. We were staying there for my birthday, and during dinner, we were given a glass of prosecco each. All in all, we had a lovely stay, could not fault anything, and would highly recommend a drink, a meal, or a stay here.

Excellent breakfast with perfect poached eggs, all cooked on request, nothing left on hot plates. Dinner very good, everyone served at the same time. The staff could not have been more helpful, always pleasant and friendly. Special shout-out to Kelly.

My misunderstanding when I booked which gave us the apartment at the top of the building - no lift. The building is an old coaching inn so does not lend itself to a lift installation. Despite this we would make another booking here.

The thing that really jumps out from my memory of the Greyhound is how so friendly and helpful the staff are. Accommodation-wise, had a really spacious room (Wylye) with equipped with everything I could have asked for (including a great TV). The full English breakfast is fantastic! Had an evening meal on one of my 2-night stay which was also great and for the quality reasonably priced. And there's a lovely outdoor area (for when the sun's out!) Parking isn't advertised as being available, but on arrival was able to park over the road for free (check times) and in the morning was able to grab one of the 3/4 parking spaces out front. I would definitely stay here again.

My only minor criticism is that the "bar" isn't really a bar. The bar area is geared out as a restaurant (and the restaurant was busy the weekend of my stay) and is not somewhere you might sit and have a couple of pints (in fact, it's not possible to sit at the bar which is kinda what I like to do, especially when travelling solo)** Fortunately I stayed during one of the few (!) sunny weekends in the UK so was able to sit outside and have a few beers with my bro (who was staying in another room). **On first night I asked one of the staff if there was a "proper" pub (boozer) nearby and she suggested the Bear Inn - a 2-minute walk away - perfect!
