Location of hotel nice and central and easy to reach. Friendly and helpful staff throughout our stay. Everything was very tidy and clean at arrival. Room and en-suite bathroom was modern. Spacious bedroom. Lots of cupboards and storage space. Bed/reading lamps very convenient. Lots of charging points for phone, laptop, etc. Courtesy tea, coffee and milk pods was appreciated. Air conditioning was very convenient. Wi-fi was fast and reliable. Vehicle parked with 24-hour security. Good pricing. Didn't use the restaurant at all, but received 10% meal discount voucher on arrival.

Toilet in en-suite didn't have much legroom. Shower water was cold on the first morning, but this might've been at time of high usage in adjacent rooms. Next day it was perfect. Lack of a small refrigerator in the room was unhelpful as own drinks (milk, cold drinks and food take aways) couldn't be stored. This would be an issue with longer stays. A microwave would also be a convenient addition. Very few TV channels to choose from.

I loved the staff mostly the people at the reception they were so sweet and kind it was Chantelle and Melissa those 2 were angles. They were a literal vide tgey were so sweet and cheerful to the point where they sang for me on my birthday mind you i didn't tell them it was my birthday so that was great, they were a little of tone. Dont get me started on the food it waa fresh and amazing i had the greatest beacon of my life it was tender and was salted to perfection. My waiter was sweet and kind love her loads and the chefs food amazing 10/10. Overall amazing hotel with sweet staff and amazing food i will come back and i 100% recommend it. ❤️

Only one thing i didn't like which was the orange juice it was diluted otherwise everything else was amazing. ♥️

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Check in was easy. Rooms had aircons and bathrooms were clean and modern.

Beds are not the best. When you sit on it you just sink right in. The hotel can be much better, lift can be upgraded, very old. Rooms can do with better modern furniture and some good paint. There's a lot of potential here to get the hotel more modern and comfortable. The breakfast, while not halal friendly as there's bacon served, was very basic. A nice bean to cup coffee machine would be a good addition. For the price, it was worth it. I'm just mentioning what can be better. We just needed an overnight stay on our garden route so it suited our needs for the night.

The only pr problem we had was the haste in which the server took the plates etc off the table, reaching across when we were talking. Breakfast finishes at 10am, we were rushed off at 9.30. This is not acceptable., verging on rude. She obviously was not enjoying her job. We also had to wait whilst she was chatting to guests who came in after us - again rather rude.

Comfortable lounge. Nice bar area. Comfortable bed. Nice bathroom. Cleanliness. Lovely, quiet air conditioner.

Very bad TV channels. Not much choice. The room we stayed in seemed to have been badly damaged then repaired. Our room faced onto the main road and we found it to be quite noisy, so the second night we closed the window and put on the air conditioner. Much better.

Actually a very nice hotel that could be excellent with attention to a few points: Rooms are comfortable with good beds but those carpets …. Interior charming but changing the lightbulbs in the corridors and breakfast room from cold white to warm white would make a huge difference Service at breakfast, while friendly, is a bit haphazard… needs managerial supervision

The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly from the time we arrived. The location was a bonus because it was closed to everything we need and shops

When we made the booking it included breakfast but when we checked in the receptionist said it does not. I really did not have energy to fight for that.

The room was quiet and nice and sunny in the afternoon .

Breakfast was served in a very small public coffee shop adjacent to the hotel. Not nice at all!!! Waited 25 min. for our omelette because they could not cope! For a cup of coffee 10 min. because people from the road were served their coffee-to go first! We sat on a very small round table which was bare of cutlery and serviettes. The Buffett was very basic.

Convenient location right in the heart of Oudtshoorn - good for shopping, eating out and visiting Cango Caves and Ostrich farms. Charming older hotel - my room looked out to main street but still was quiet and comfortable. Included breakfast was especially nice served in the garden area. Staff was very helpful in getting laundry done which was much appreciated.

When electricity goes out due to South Africa’s load shedding, hotel does not have a backup generator to run a/c or elevator. I believe they are planning to get a generator so this may change.

I liked that it was very cute place, breakfast was good and the colony restaurant served good supper. The hotel had a pool and the water pressure of the shower was perfect.

The shower was not draining the water quick enough and the shower floor was very dirty, it needs a scrub. The pool was also very dirty and we actually had to clean it ourselves before we could swim. We asked for someone to clean it but no one ever came.
