The location was very convenient: close to the train station, restaurants, and shopping. My room was cleaned daily, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

I really liked the all-in-one washing and dryer in my room. However, I had to use Google Translate to use it. Also, I had to leave for my appointment, and I did not know how to stop the washing machine. I called the front desk, and they helped me solve the issue at hand. Yokohama city has many visitors and it would have been invaluable to have the English translations.

First of all, wow. 1st class room with a spectacular view. Although technically not a suite per se, the room had a separate seating area, bed area with projection screen or city view window, a work desk with fridge, and a 2 room bathroom with a skyline view. Clean bleached wood decor, soft lighting, tasteful modern art. All the amenities provided. Pajamas, slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste, hair brush, mirror, towels, shaving razor, shaving cream, high end designer shampoo, conditioner, coffee, tea, lots more.

The only drawback worth mentioning is the location a bit away from public transportation. 10 minute walk from the Sakuprgi station.

The breakfast was very good. we had so many options from international to Japanese, The staff were friendly and very accommodating to children. the cleanness is very impressive( they even clean the jacuzzi almost everyday - removing the water fully). we had the sea view room and it was really amazing, on the 2nd of June we had an exceptional view of the fireworks. we had a car and we could park it in the premises. the public transport is 5 minutes walking and there are many malls surrounding the hotel. we are a walking distance from the port and Cosmo world.

only the fact the our 4 year old was not allowed in the pool, but we understand that it is for a safety reason and they had stated that clearly.

From the moment we arrived every member of staff was absolutely lovely and welcoming. The room was a good size, extremely clean with great large window. Big bed, perfect bath/shower room with separate WC. Towels and bed linen changed every day and water replenished too. Breakfast was a great experience with so much choice from salad to fresh fruit, pastries, delicious pancakes along with traditional Japanese dishes. Nice to be able to sit outside and take in the view or read a book. A wonderful experience and we will definitely return.

We were at the hotel for 9 days. We felt more clothes storage (drawers) would have helped but this is a small criticism.

The Mitsui Garden Hotel Yokohama is conveniently located close to transport links and the shopping malls. We enjoyed excellent service from the moment we arrived for our 4 night stay, right through to check-out. Nothing was ever an issue and the courtesy extend to my wife and I by all staff was outstanding. Our corner room on L24 was spacious, spotlessly clean and had magnificent views of the City (especially at night) and the distant mountains, including Mt Fiji on the relatively clear days. The Hotel reception area on L20 is enormous and extremely inviting with a self-playing baby grand piano, beautiful seating areas (both indoors and in the fully glazed outdoors deck), a cosy Bar area and lovely views to the Port. A thoroughly well designed Hotel.

Nothing at all.... for us, everything was excellent.

The rooms were immaculate and modern. The beds were comfortable. Service and room cleaning was efficient and flexible to meet our schedule. Nice breakfast. Excellent location. Staff were helpful. My partner sprained their ankle and they gave us some ice packs which was very caring of them and followed up with a letter asking how we were recovering.

During peak periods we were unable to get a spot in the breakfast which we had prepaid. We didn't want to wait an hour in line so we skipped breakfast. The hotel staff were not sympathetic and did not compensate us for the inconvenience or we didn't receive a refund. The fact we had to collect our own amenities from reception was not what we expected. The bathroom was small and there was no space to put our towels and clothes. The pillows were too low and they didn't have any other choice which was higher for side sleepers.

The hotel oozes luxury with reception, bar, pool, fitness area and restaurant on 20th floor. Toiletries available at area in reception, very sustainable and looked good. Breakfast was very good and also good value.

Small, niggly things....One of our group checked in 45 minutes early as they wanted a shower, charge was 3000 yen, (€20approx) minimal yes, but there were shower and changing facilities available adjacent to reception but were not offered. 750 yen - pick up charge to book a taxi? Again very minimal but totally unnecessary.. there was a bad musty, mouldy smell in the bathroom, we were only staying the 1 night so did not highlight this. No robes in rooms, very small hanging rail and no wardrobe.

The hotel is amazing, on entry the hotel was clean and the staff polite and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable, the heated toilet seat took me by surprise. The view was great from the window, the bed, well it has to be the best night sleep I’ve had in a long time, I was so glad checkout wasn’t until 1100, after getting up early for breakfast, I went back to bed for a couple more hours. Breakfast was of a high standard, buffet style with plenty to choose from. Oh I almost forgot the pools are nice but can get a little crowded. The evening menu has plenty to choose from, be aware though, it is designed for a taster menu, so if your going a la carte you will still get a small portion.

checkin: no flexibility at all, all the guests have to wait till 3 pm. Unbelievably long queue in the lobby at 3 pm and it took over 20 min simply for checkin.

The room is airy, modern and clean, especially the corner rooms. It got a nice view into the city/harbour depends on tour room. The city view room is supposed to be able to see Mt. Fuji if the weather permits which I am not able to see during my stay. The room size is also decent being in the city core and can open 3 suitcases. The location is great for driving located jn a less busy side street. Lawson is located on the 2nd floor with internal access so you dont need to go outside. Short walking distance to nearby landmark shopping malls with lots of restaurants and shops. The staff are friendly and good at communicating in english.

The parking is the typical automated tower type with a car elevator that you can find in Japan. It's secured but prepares extra time to retrieve/park your car. The hotel also has a sky lobby so you need to transfer the elevator before getting to your room, just a tad bit inconvenient. The breakfast is disappointing. Variety is lacking and not much different per day. The quality is also below average in Japan.
