Located a couple hundred meters from the first metro station after Yokohama train station in an upscale neighborhood of the business district, Yokohama Tokyo REI Hotel boasts the most welcoming, considerate and polite staff you can ever expect, sleek and modern facilities, a Japanese and Western breakfast buffet worth the fee and super comfortable beds and pillows waiting for you after a long day trip. The room is impeccably clean, with free, high-quality toiletries hidden in a box above the toilet, in addition to shampoo, conditioner and body wash better than in any other hotel I've ever stayed before, including 5-star hotels. The guests mostly consist of professionals attending conferences, so you can expect a quiet, polite and respectful environment. In the reviews, some guests complain about the lack of international channels, but we could not have cared less. In Tokyo, we walked more than 20Km/day, on average, without even realizing it while sightseeing, so at the end of the day, all we wanted was to go back to our room at Yokohama Tokyo REI Hotel, with a large bathtub and a super comfy bed. We selected this hotel for its breakfast buffet and location close to Yokohama train station, which is a perfect choice for travellers planning day trips to Kumadera, Hakone and Most Fuji, in addition to Tokyo highlights, like Ueno park. Yokohama train station has numerous restaurants with delicious food at good prices, and almost very destination was less than 1-h away by train. Above all, I will always remember the kind and helpful staff, meriting 10/10 any day of the week.

I cannot think of anything to complain about, but I do have one recommendation to make to all guests: take the metro from the Yokohama train station on arrival. Even if you have an e-SIM and/or unlimited data, you may get lost on your 17-minute walk from Yokohama train station to the hotel while navigating intricate overpasses and confusing blocks with skyscrapers when you are sleep deprived and jet lagged on arrival.

The breakfast was excellent. There was a great variety of food and drink options. The food was tasty and refilled regularly and it was nice having 3 cooked items at the kitchen serving area to choose from. The buffet areas were kept extremely clean and the tables and chairs were sanitized straight away when the people were finished. All the staff at reception and the breakfast area were very polite and helpful. Our room and bathroom were spacious and well maintained and nice and quiet. The hotel was in a great location.

Location for transit wise is pretty good, it’s a 12 mins walking distance away from Yokohama station (850m I just walk slow), and a few minutes walking distance away from Shin-Takashima station. Room is clean and comfy, it has everything you need, and it’s slightly bigger than the normal room you will get with the same price.

There’s not much eatery around, and the 7-11 downstairs closes pretty early, and if you go after 8pm or something, the food choices are normally very limited. But it’s okay to me cause I just get food from Yokohama station. Also the breakfast choices of this hotel are repetitive everyday with three mains, so if you are staying for longer period you might easily get bored with the breakfast.

The hotel had very clean and quiet rooms with good room service. There was an air purifier in the room in addition to the AC, which satisfied my friend. The hotel was close to the subway station, which made traveling very easy.

The breakfast at this hotel is quite limited. Other than the meat don and seafood don, there is only salad (both Japanese and Western style) and bread left. I don't eat seafood, so there are very limited choices left. So I don't recommend the ones that don't enjoy chicken (or pork) don or seafood don come to the breakfast.

The service: This is our first visit to Japan and being vegetarians (no meat, no fish, no eggs), they prepared a different, yet delicious breakfast for us for all 7 days of our stay The location: We could explore both central Tokyo as well as Yokohama with much ease - the various lines were very near Intend visiting Yokohama for the Green Expo in ‘27 and Yokohama REI would be the stay choice

It was a very comfortable stay and excellent value. We opted for the breakfast option, which is was well worth it. A wonderful ‘western style’ and ‘Japanese style’ buffet to choose from. Nice and clean rooms and quite large for Japanese standards. So glad we chose this hotel, even though we were commuting to Tokyo on a daily basis.

The best way to get there was to travel by train for 1 stop. But that wasn’t an issue once you knew what you were doing. No washing machine. So you may want to find a coin laundry if you want to keep the costs down by doing your washing. But for the price it was really a very comfortable stay.

Super comfortable stay, did 7 days here (under 2 bookings - they were nice and let me stay in the same room) and could have stayed longer if it had laundry. You're probably wondering about how far away it is from main attractions - check walking distances on Google Maps to see if it's doable for you, I walked to Chinatown but caught the train back, lots to see on the way. There are really good malls, bookshops, and cafes all within walking distance (7-9mins) e.g. Tsutaya, Mark is Mirai etc. I didn't find the fully step free way to Yokohama station, but just a 1 level climb up some stairs from the street, then everything was escalator. I'm sure there is a way (I didn't want to go through Nissan with the suitcase, but you could probably go 'down' a few less stairs then up their internal escalator (it's a showroom, so people walk through anyway).

Initially we had a discussin at the front desk during check in about the parking facilities. In the information it was mentioned that parking was on site and included, this is not the situation. The message about parking we received after check in so the actual situation was a surprise. It is partially in site and costs 1600 yen per day. Eventually the situation was handled well at the front desk and with some delay we could check in. Room was good size form Japanese standards, clean and well equipped. Breakfast really good, maybe some more Continental options. Location ok in Minato Mirai. Price was really (ridiculous) high, even for a Saturday. Maybe because there was a concert nearby.

Good location. It’s relatively easy to get to the hotel and just one stop off of Yokohama station. Facilities were very nice and clean. Workers went out of their way to call and ask for some information concerning a place we’re wanted to visit but was likely to be closed. They explained they assumed it would be closed but they wanted to contact the place just to confirm. I appreciated that. Family liked the in-room coffee machines.

No issues. We reserved the rooms in the middle of Obon so it was going to be more expensive than usual.

Great location! It is close enough to the a central station and very close to the main station, as well as to certain sights. The staff is super and helpful. They make an effort to make your stay as nice as possible as well as helping after check out. They even took the time to help out after we already left because there were complications with the luggage delivery to the new hotel. Super friendly and their bistro breakfast is delicious. The rooms are spacious and have the most important necessities included. A convenience store with ATM is also next to the hotel.

The toilet paper is thin.
