Great location to ski at Cascade / Devil's head mountain. Spacious clean rooms. Great shower water pressure. Quiet (either we were lucky with neighbors or walls are not paper thin as in some other hotels). Pretty big pool. Good standard breakfast, my daughter loved their pancake "conveyor belt" making machine. Excellent restaurant across the street (Suzie's I think). We'll be back next year when we come skiing at Cascade again (just 10 mins to the mountain). Fridge and microwave in the room is helpful if you brought some leftovers from the restaurant.

Unfortunately hot tub was not working when we came (Feb 2025). It would be nice to unwind after a day of skiing. Breakfast was good but would be nice to have some more options for fruit. They do not offer luggage storage unless it's a smaller item.

The property was very nice and clean, and included many great amenities as well. Check in was a smooth process, even though we arrived rather late in the evening, and we were quickly able to get to our room and head to bed for the night. Breakfast the next morning was great, they had a really cool pancake machine where you just waved your hand and it would cook you two fresh pancakes. I stayed as part of a much larger group for a ski race nearby, and they were very accommodating to all of us. There was a nice hot tub, pool, and sauna all of which were great and toasty. I especially enjoyed the free hot chocolate, coffee and teas available in the lobby whenever desired. Our room itself was very tidy, and had a nice layout to it with plenty of space. There even was a small kitchen type area tucked away with a mini fridge, microwave, and sink so that was very convenient for storing and eating leftovers. The bed was comfy, and we slept well overall. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice stay in the Portage area, can’t say there’s much better anywhere around.

The only thing I wish was different was the TV - it had many cable channels but a way to access Netflix from it would definitely push it up from a 9 to a 10 in my eyes.

We loved the town of Portage, especially the vintage feel of it. Driving to the hotel we didn't quite expect something so nice. Rooms were great, pillows, bedding, lobby, breakfast.......everything was excellent. I also forgot my charging block, and the hotel staff was nice enough to give me one that they had laying around. I was very appreciative.

If I had to complain about something, which is no fault of the hotel, the road to the property is a little rough and in need of a repave.

Breakfast area awesome. Breakfast, not the best but filling. Eggs cold and kinda runny. Was really hoping for hot biscuits and gravy. The area seems to be a waist. Man, you should do like others , happy hour. You have a killer bar and snack area that other hotels would kill for. $12 frozen pizzas and beer, $$$$$$$$.

The entire Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very nice with a wide variety of what appeared to be quality food and drinks. The hotel was very quiet. The color scheme of the hotel was very pleasing. The parking lot was spacious.

The hot tub wasn't functional.

We liked the location down the road from Walmart, food, and gas. Shares a parking lot with an amazing restaurant called Suzys that we loved. The pool and hot tub were enjoyable for everyone. Breakfast was decent and had plenty all morning.

Shower heads gave low water pressure. Building inside rooms and pool area showed it needs updates or in middle of repairs.

Loved the pancake machine and the rotation of the daily specials for breakfast and the choice of strong normal or mild on the coffee machine. All staff were friendly and helpful. Prompt maintenance attention. Incognito on business center computer .

I would have liked a folding table or plastic carrying tub for clean laundry by the washing machine. The wifi went weird a couple of times and my phone claimed it wasn't secure. Other times it was ok

Breakfast was very good - nice variety, with several healthy options. The beds were clean and comfortable. Hotel was located in a safe place so I went for a walk.

Tub stopper was un-connected. Floor in bathroom was not clean in the corners by the base of the tub.

All of breakfast was good have potatoes would be great

Pancake machine never worked each time we were there. They were working on but didn't want to wait or come back. Tv remote in room didn't work well. Maybe needed batteries

The staff were very friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. After a long day of hiking it was so nice to have such a nice room. The breakfast was good and area clean. Would definitely stay again.

Nothing we didn't like but wished they had bagels and cream cheese.
