Easy to get to. Clean. Inside and outside pool. Arcade. Small playground where I could watch my kiddo play from inside our room. Small modest rooms but it was perfect for what we needed. I would highly recommend and will be back. Front desk staff was very friendly and incredibly helpful with all of my questions and requests.

It’s a little dated, but that isn’t something that matters to me. It was clean, safe, convenient and the staff was fabulous. That’s what I value and find important.

Close, but not too close to a lot of attractions. Loved that each room had 2 chairs and small table to sit right outside of room. Free or discounted tickets to attractions. Nice pool, outside and inside one, and grill/sitting area. Fun little arcade. Very clean.

Could not get the fan in AC to run continuously at night. Everytime AC kicked in during night it sounded like lawn mower starting and woke me up. Could use small table outside bathroom for toiletries as there wasn't room in bathroom.

Location was great. Perfect place for families. I'm a bit skeptical when it comes to motels but I would highly recommend this one. Very clean. Lots to keep the kids entertained and close to downtown which was a bonus. Friendly staff. They kept our room clean and stocked as we were there for 8 days. Highly Recommend and would definitely go back!

This motel was a quaint little setup. I wasn't sure what to expect because it was at the lower end of the cost scale for the time we went, and motels usually don't have the best features. There was no breakfast, but there is a microwave and fridge in the rooms, so you can bring your own foods. The first day I got there to check in, it was very early in the day, and no one was in the building. I waited for about 15 minutes to get checked in, but when someone came, they were friendly and very apologetic. My room happened to be ready, and I was able to get in right away which was very nice! The rooms are a bit older and basic, but cozy. The parking spaces are VERY small. =) The outside pool was closed. The indoor pool was open and heated. There is a jacuzzi and a cute little slide that goes into the pool. It was very clean. There is a small game room which was fun. We received a free passes to visit Timbavali for our stay. (Which, by the way, is NOT worth the entrance fee they charge. Glad we got to visit for free!) Overall, I was very pleased with this motel, and would GLADLY come back and stay. Just enough outside of the main town to be away from the congestion, but still within walking distance to all the shops. AND the price was right! =) Thank you Black Hawk Staff!!

The smell in the room. The weak water pressure in the shower. The small parking spaces. The beds weren't the most comfortable, but ok. (If you like a firm mattress, then its good)

I appreciated the Black Hawk Motel for its fantastic location and helpful staff. The playground and indoor pool were also a big hit with our kids.

Some of the facilities need upgrading. The AC was broken in our first room, which required us to switch rooms. The second room had a malfunctioning sink drain and both the soap dispensers were empty. Apart from that, there were no major issues or problems.

Staff is super friendly. Motel is very clean and housekeeping doing phenomenal job, they even make our beds daily, and we really appreciate it. Lobby had coffee pots with tasty coffee. Even decaf coffee was available at a later time of the day. Wild Zoo tickets were included. That's a lot of savings !

We liked everything in this place and will be returning back

It was great value for the money. The facilities were clean and the staff was excellent. Our room was comfortable and at a great price. Plus there were attractions included with our stay. If we come back to The Dells this is definitely where we will stay.

There are no complaints. I honestly cannot find anything I disliked.

the location was far enough from the central downtown area to be quiet, but close enough that it was readily accessible. Also, there was a Kwik-Trip right across the street--very convenient for munchies and gasoline.

My only carp was that their setup doe not make a complimentary breakfast possible. Since, however, the room had a microwave and refrigerator, that was only a very minor issue.

The property is in a great location for what we were in town for. The room was nice and clean. My husband said the bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds he has slept in

Our room was located right next to the main road, so herd every car, truck and motorcycle go by at all hours.

Overall the whole facility was well maintained. Would stay there again.

The microwave was old and just really icky. Couldn't get it wiped out to clean out the gook. That was the reason for the ding on the cleanliness rating. The tag on the microwave was mfg. stamped 2000 - time to replace.
