The management was exceptional, always approachable and enjoyable to converse with, enhancing the sense of welcome throughout the stay. The property itself was clean, quiet, and provided plenty of fresh air, especially when the windows were opened to allow a gentle breeze to pass through. The rooms, though family-oriented, were spacious and well-maintained, with excellent value for families with children or groups of travellers. The location added to the property’s appeal, being close to a service station offering food and drinks, as well as a small church—a comforting presence for those inclined towards reflection. Furthermore, the rooms on the top floor with windows facing the carpark entrance offered a breathtaking view of Rocky Hill War Memorial. This view inspired awe and reflection, serving as a reminder of the sacrifices that allow such peaceful as well as welcoming stays. Lastly, the guests encountered during the stay were kind and engaging, offering meaningful advice as well as sharing experiences that enriched the journey.

For a solo traveller, the room provided was more suited for a group or family, as it included ample space and multiple beds, which felt excessive for one person. While the price was reasonable and the amenities were excellent, the room would have been better suited to those travelling with companions.

Second time here. First time was an amazing experience! My expectations was really nothing of the sort for a 1 night stay. I just needed a bed as I was travelling and Goulburn was the 8 hour mark for me where I felt I should rest a little. Booked with a good price, just needed a bed for a night and had no expectations on anything really. Price was reasonable for a night stay and wasn't expecting to make the steakhouse dinner hours anyway at that time. I did not make the dinner time but that was okay. Didn't book it for the food even though it sounded pretty good and good prices too. Just needed a key and a sleep, that's all i was expecting. However! My stay was above and beyond all expectations i could fathom the first time. 8 months ago now(Time goes quick!) and I'm back! With the staff so friendly, welcoming, inviting, comfy room, and home like, I just had to book again! Tea and Coffee provided. Kettle, iron, extra pillows and blankets. TV and quite roomy! CLEAN room and everything you need. When I got home from travelling 8 months ago, I made a booking for the same place and room; and planned my future travel from this point. I just had to come back! Don't know why its only a 3 star. Very deserving of a 4*! They have such good food at the Steakhouse, ate breakfast there. The omelette was to die for! Bit of a let down as the steakhouse was closed this time round, really wanted to have dinner this time; but I did not book just for the food, I booked for the great(!), prior experience. Even though I booked 8 months in advanced I got the room I requested and had yet another amazing stay. I have to say, I will be back again when I travel next. This will be my go to for any travel outside Victoria to NSW. Probably regardless of wherever my travel will be to be honest. If this is slightly out by an hour of travel, I would detour and stay just cause of my prior, now 2 experiences. Dog friendly and comfy beds.

That i couldn't stay longer and the steakhouse was closed, so I had to get dinner elsewhere. Breakfast might of been open, I don't know. I had to leave a bit earlier than I had planned.

Mattresses are good quality and very comfortable. Bathroom was newish with good sized sink and a lovely shower. Unit itself is older but very clean. We had a microwave, kettle, toaster and small fridge. We were comfortable. Great to meet lots of people travelling with their dogs over the. Christmas period.

Some talking on the balcony from upstairs guests kept disturbing our dog until quite late, as the windows are single glazed so not very noise proof.

The room was clean and comfortable, nice new cabinetry, good tv and the bathroom had been updated. Comfortable bed. We were travelling with our small dog and this was the only pet friendly accommodation we could find. Continental breakfast was simple but appreciated as part of the room rate and Razi was lovely to meet us at check in and welcome us in the morning.

The carpet in the room was quite stained however but had been cleaned and didnt smell, as we were travelling with our dog this did not really worry us, we just kept our footwear on while we were in the room.

Value for money , quiet , warm and comfortable . Staff lovely . Great breakfast included . Location good .

The cleaner lets this place down . There is more to cleaning than a vac and mop. The kettle , window ledges , skirts and benches needed a good wipe . Grime around shower door. Stayed 3 nights .

Room was quite large, as was the double bed. 2 seater sofa was a bonus. Large desk area with space for my travel bag to sit in. Fridge, Microwave, Kettle, Toaster and Hairdryer all available in the room, and were very welcome features. Good selection of tea and coffee, as well as mixed glassware and cups. Ample towels left in the room, and a sign explaining that long stay guests had no room service, but everything was easily available from reception.

Shower was a little tempermentle and difficult to get to the right temperature. Curtains weren't secured on both sides, so took a little fiddling to get properly closed at night time.

It was very adequate for our needs. Staff and service was fantastic. Sadly the steakhouse was closed the night we came through but usually open for a good meal. Although a little dated, they are very pet friendly and that mattered the most. The shower was hot, they provide a toaster so could make a light meal as we were travelling with the basics.

Bed was too soft for me.

Reception was fantastic when walking in! Easy booking online/booking app. Upon sitting on the single bed, I was feeling like it could be firmer but turns out I had the best sleep I've had in a very long time! There were coffee, tea, extra blankets, kettle, toaster, hair dryer, hand soap, TV, shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers in shower and well ventilated bathroom with a decent shower size. The room was small, but very cozy feeling and fit our purpose extremely well. Brilliant heater for the cold night! Yeah walls were quite thin so to speak, but no one staying there were disrespectful or loud. Hot breaky in the morning was fantastic. The omelette was huge, much bigger than expected and was so fluffy and perfectly cooked. It was a very clean room and well kept. Nice head boards and matching side table and desk under TV. All lights worked well, no issues the room at all. Would highly recommend for a night or even a few nights! Ill be going back in the near future 'Just cause' - as they were lovely and the food was great! Great pricing too. :) A+++++!

Parking spaces are small, no disability spaces I could see at night time, but I managed either way thankfully.

I forgot to mention to staff- but the electric blanket only worked on one side of the bed.

We have stayed at this motel on a number of occasions. It is our "go to" in Goulburn for overnight stays. It is budget, affordable and satisfactory for the price. It is the same each time we stay and does not disappoint.
