The breakfast was exceptional with multiple choices as was the cold buffet. Although loath to use the same word again, housekeeping was exceptional. It is in a beautiful location on the cliff. The garden is well maintained and laid mainly to lawn. I had a deluxe room with a four poster bed. Although at first glance the mattress looked lumpy, I slept very well. The bathroom had clearly been recently updated and was stunning.

The public area is looking tired. I am not a fan of plastic plants, especially dusty ones, and felt they were unnecessary. The tables and chairs were out of place in a Hotel of this character. First impressions do count, and this is the first area you see upon arrival. It is clear however that money is being spent on improvements, so perhaps they will include this area. The remainder of the downstairs rooms are well decorated, and thoughtfully furnished. I liked the fact the hotel provides board games as well as outdoor ones. Loved the giant chess board!

I had a fantastic stay here during my Norfolk Coast Path hike with my spaniel as a treat away from camping. The room was tastefully decorated and clean, with a lovely waterfall shower and huge mirrors! I had supper and breakfast, both of which were delicious and I could not fault the waiting staff for both meals. Additionally, the duty manager Jack was attentive and chatty which was wonderful as I had barely spoken to anyone all week on my hike. Finally, my hiking attire did not conform to the smart casual dress code and the staff were very kind in allowing me to wear my fleece and crocs inside which I fully appreciated.

My only quarrel with the property was that the end of the lawn leads rather abruptly onto the crumbling cliff edge. I was very concerned the following morning to discover this as it feels as though an over zealous dog may somehow launch itself off. I appreciate not wanting to put up a solid wall so as not to obstruct the wall, but perhaps a slightly more substantial fence may be in order?

I have spent more money for budget hotel chains than I had for this. I got a lot for £55, the room was exceptional with en-suite bath. Beautiful looking hotel with amazing view onto the sea. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and up to a good standard.

There were a few small things. Firstly I believe that you could put a bit more variety on the menu. I appreciate it is a seaside hotel, but menu was mainly fish based, which I didn't fancy at the time and no real alternatives. Would say an extra egg at breakfast and some warmer sausages. Television was a bit too small and putting the electric kettle under it wasn't a wise idea. Also would be an idea to do something with the garden. Got a good deal of space, put some flower beds in etc.

Everything about the hotel itself, the location, food, sea view etc provide guests with a memorable stay. Staff worked tirelessly during the current heatwave to ensure guests' satisfaction and they are to be especially commended.

A hotel, no matter how beautiful the decor or location, is only as good as its staff. Note to owner: your staff are dedicated and hard working. But they are sometimes not enough in number. Up to now, guests are not suffering the inevitable consequences. But over time, they - and you - may.

We can see why the Sea Marge is such a favourite with people of all ages! It is an exquisite, historical building housing beautiful bar and dining areas. Outside, a beautiful terrace with views over the large, rolling lawn to the sea makes dining, socialising a wonderful experience on a sunny day or balmy evening. Great staff who were warmly welcoming and efficient. Also supplied a very much appreciated bag of dog treats for our blue roan cocker, Dudley. 💕

Room No 7 was superb, four poster bed, great view and huge bathroom. Facilities were excellent and the staff (Jack) very helpful. Breakfast was excellent and Parking down the side of main entrance excellent. As I had stayed before we were entitled to a free upgrade so very pleased with that!

The bath plug seemed faulty as it let out water, the meal in the restaurant was good but the lobster mousse disappointing, maybe a small portion of lobster would have been better. However, a reasonable price and good choice of wine. Staff were very friendly and accomodating.

This hotel was very quiet at night slept well . The bathroom was perfect , wonderful easy to use shower. Breakfast a good all round selection and a lovely view of garden and sea . Dinner was presented beautifully and tasted great. In the bar we had a lunch time snack a pizza delicious.

Don't want to be picky but 2 packets of biscuits on the tea tray in the bedroom would be better then one packet.

Absolutely loved my stay here, the staff were friendly, kind and made me feel at ease. The location is superb, facilities are clean and a generous size. I didn't pay for a sea view but I got one, and I would definitely recommend staying here and will be back in the future. The breakfast was absolutely stunning too!

The TV remote on/off button didn't work but I could manually turn it on and then use the remote. The room was rather hot so having a fan might be useful during summer months. Other than that absolutely perfect.

The hotel was very comfortable with a feel of space. Grass lawn with tables and chairs for afternoon teas etc was excellent with a wonderful sea view. Staff were very helpful.

Felt concerned about electrical features in room 19 & 20 with long extensions and sockets for equipment. Felt this needed to be updated and corrected in a general room refurbishment. Size of bathroom insufficient and wc rarely cleared contents without re-flushing. Would use hotel again but not same room.

Property and Location are amazing, Rooms are clean and comfortable. Wifi was free and available in all areas of the Hotel. Staff were welcoming and helpful.

Breakfast was a bit hit-and-miss. Fairly limited choice, and missed off an item on the first morning, sadly I was pressed for time so couldn't inform a member of staff which was a shame, I'm sure it would have been attended to if they had chance.
