Great location, big room (we paid for the 'superior' category) staff on front desk were helpful on arrival with recommendations. Also worth knowing that they offered to buy special ingredients to accommodate a vegan diet for breakfast as long as they had notice the day before. We didn't take them up on the offer in the end, but appreciated it.

Finding parking was a bit of a pain, the hotel did send instructions but I think they could have been more specific as we ended up quite confused. There a road works making it a bit tricky. We ended up at Le Corum parking which is a 10 minute walk from the hotel, there are closer options

The location is unrivalled for the centre of the old city. The beds are superb and so comfortable - and the entire hotel was spotlessly clean with a lift to all floors. The staff were helpful and very pleasant, we were able to extend our room for some hours and there was never a problem getting more towels or coffee pods. The breakfast was okay. The decor is fresh and everywhere is clean. There was air conditioning, a fridge and kettle & coffee pod machine, plenty of fresh good towels, an iron and a safe in the bedroom - with plenty of room to move around - and we were delighted to be able to open the big glass doors onto the balconies and enjoy the ambiance of Montpellier (as well as the sunshine and breeze). When closed these doors made the bedroom silent for sleep. There is one step from the pavement to the entrance, then three steps to reception - and three further steps to the breakfast room - otherwise accessible for wheelchairs.

The hotel bar didn't appear to offer much - only one type of bottled beer & a few spirits. But - the location is right in the city centre so there are many, many options for a drink or to socialise so it's not a problem! The hotel is superb.

Staff was pleasant. The room was large, and we had an extra smaller room with a window and a single bed. Our twin beds were comfortable as well as the pillows. Coffee and tea in the room. There are lots of places for luggage and closet to hang up clothes. The bathroom was fair size and had a big bathtub as well as a shower. Lots of places to put your toiletries, which I really appreciated. A safe in the room. The large window overlooked the alley, so the view wasn't nice, but surprisingly quiet. The location was ideal. Right by trams, less than a 10 min walk to the train station. Right near the hub for people watching, having a cocktail, and close to lots of restaurants and sights. We had a great stay.

My husband said the bathroom smelt musty. So much so that he took our wet ones and cleaned the batroom. The shelf under the sink was really dirty, as well as the floor. Your housekeepers need to do a better job. The fire alarm went off several times in the night, and my husband had to go down to see what was going on. I thought they would offer a free breakfast the next morning or something for the inconvenience, but they didn't. However, it was out of their control, so that was a minor thing and didn't really spoil our stay.

We loved Our Room - beautifully & tastefully decorated. Lovely Big Bed, Soft Fluffy Pillows - which I personally prefer. Clean, Bright, Quirky. Dog Friendly ~ in particular one of the Housekeeping Ladies was extremely Welcoming to Our Dogs which they thoroughly enjoyed !!! Lovely Breakfast with much choice. This is our 2nd time staying here and we already look forward to staying again in future.

There was Nothing we didn’t like, however would loved to have spent a while soaking aches away in the Big Bath if soap bubbles were provided with / instead of the Bath Salts.

Friendly reception staff who were always very helpful. Superb location right next to Place Comedie and the Montpelier Tram. Old-world charm and warm decor. I loved having a separate toilet from the bathroom. We appreciated all the dance photos on the walls and the large central staircase was very impressive.The shower was large with great water pressure. A tranquil large room with a lounge area, comfortable bed, robes, and slippers are provided. We ate at the Brassiere du Theatre a fabulous quintessential French brasserie right next door.

It was a great stay, on a minor note we saw some wear and tear on the lounges in the central reception area and one of the sliding doors into the bathroom got a bit stuck to open/close. We would choose to stay again.

Location is excellent. Value for price is excellent. Housekeeping was well timed and complete. Lobby is nice and well organized. The superior room is well sized and very comfortable with large windows. The decor of the room is eclectic but it works well. Sleep was excellent and the room very quiet. The shower has plenty of hot water and good pressure.

The lighting in the bath is a bit insufficient. An exhaust in the bath would have been nice. The bar needs a re-design layout and decor wise. Staff is professional and knowledgeable but could be a bit more friendly.

I am in love with Grand hotel Midi, So much so that I never want to visit anywhere else but there. The staff were so amazing, kind and helpful, we missed our train and the effort to get us a taxi to make the next one by staff was just adorable, I don't know the gentleman who helped us yesterday, but he is an absolute treasure and hotel midi are lucky to have him work on the desk. We made our train to Lyon by 30seconds thanks to him 🩵 The hotel felt like home, an amazing art deco fancy home...the one you dream off 😍 everything was perfect from the shower to the bed to the view of the square, it was near everything and the value for money was outstanding, I was shocked, in a really good way...the hotel is even better than the photos. I will be back again&again&again for the rest of my life. Very safe place to stay, I came alone and then my daughter joined me, it is the nicest hotel EVER 😍

Loved the staff - concierge and all. Overall the room was comfortable and the breakfast very good. Room could use better lighting, not the glaring overheads; and more hooks to hang towel and robe and toiletries bag (for example) in bath and the same in the closet. Door between entry and bedroom squeaked (just needs minor adjustment); air conditioning didn’t seem to work and could not get the fans going. Bath could use a space on which one could place whatever products they were using while using.

Lovely large towels. Good location. Able to open french windows but didnt leave them open in case pigeons came in. Good facilities in room kettle fridge etc

Although we used the card to show we wanted the room serviced this never happened while we were out in the entire stay. We did get some refills for coffee and water but the bins werent emptied. Breakfast was good but expensive. It was a bit noisy next to the lift and stairs

It was comfortable and fun. The staff were welcoming and helpful. And everything—the location overlooking the Place de la Comedie, the wallpaper and the wild mix of floor tiles that shouldn’t have worked together but did—felt unique and perfectly expressive of the wonderful surprise that is Montpellier.

That we had to leave after only 12 nights.
