It was in a great location, the property was lovely and we were made very welcome after a very long day of travelling. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable as well as having everything you could need. We were given extensive options for breakfast which was plentiful and enjoyable plus a reservation was offered & made for us at the local restaurant, which made things so much easier for us, being too tired for that little extra!

amazing location, peaceful and beautiful. Interior decoration and finish is done at a very high level! Nordic Bath was a nice surprise, especially with the nice weather and sunset! Delicious, local, breakfast. The hotel is also great if you like wines. Host is very very flexible and kind. He gave us multiple recommendations for restaurants nearby

A brilliant experience! Beautiful country location and superb accommodation. The hosts were incredibly friendly and we had a brilliant evening of conversation and discussion with them. The whole experience could not be faulted in any way!!

My partner was in raptures about this place. He loved the breakfast room with its views, and artworks within. In French Flanders but they all spoke Flemish too. Very caring hosts. Delicious breakfast. Good restaurant not far away. Farm life around - lots of geese and ducks yet quiet at night.

Lieven and Nathalie are lovely. We were warmly welcomed with a glass of beer. The room is very good and the breakfasts are amazing. We stayed there some years ago and chose to return as we found the same last time. And we would again.

A discovery, I needed to find a place to stay in the area and came across this on Booking.com. A warm welcome with a beer, and a peaceful stay, including generous breakfast.

Nothing to dislike really

we had a wonderful stay at the Bonheur Frontalier. The owners went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, including moving their car to make it eadier for my friend who has reduced mobility to access the building, and carrying some of our bags upstairs. The continental breakfast was lovely, the bed was very comfortable and the air conditioned room was superb. We LOVED the walk-in shower.

It is an excelent place, lovely people, just a very nice experience. I really recommend. We have stayed only one night on our way to UK and it was a great stop after a long journey.

Great location on the Belgian border and super for cycling over to the Kemmelberg and other hills. A good range of restaurants in Watou and Steenvoorde. Plan ahead on a Monday night because we could only find the Terminus on the D948 open - this was fine though because the Terminus is a top quality restaurant. Ypres (or Ieper) and Lille are not too far away and are good for a day trip. Breakfast excellent quality and value.

Tiger mosquitoes - but this is the countryside with hops, maize and a network of ditches so this is normal.
