The hotel was clearly a popular choice for Asian travellers as it was full for Golden Week, but I was the only non-asian staying there, that I saw. The rooms were clean and everything you needed including slippers and lounge wear. Addtional supplies were available at reception. The hot spring baths were very good. There were free ice creams in the afternoon and pro-biotic drinks in the morning. I did not make it to the free Ramen at 9.30pm, a bit late for me. You could sit in the restaurant in the afternoon and evening to eat and get free drinks from the machine (they had a microwave you could use and a Family Mart behind them open 24/7). The breakfasts were traditional Japanese foods and were amazing. I loved the system of having a card for your table to say you were still eating (if you were back at the buffet) and then you turned it over once finished with the table. Well located almost next to AEON shopping centre and easy walk to the station. Vending machines on local streets for extra drinks too, as is common in Japan. Walking distance to the Castle and Gardens which were illuminate for Golden Week. Unusually for a hotel, excellent shower pressure, could blast you out of the door!

My room was a little small. It was a double bed, but I had hoped my daughter could stay too, but due to the size restriction we only manged 2/8 nights with her staying over (I had booked for 2). No floor space for an open suitcase. As it was just me, I put mine up next to the tv. A twin room would have been better but the hotel was sold out when I checked in. If a couple staying I would ensure you get a bigger room unless you have limited luggage and don't both need your own side of the bed. For one it was fine

A great hotel that gets all the small details right. The onsen (separate for male and female) is really good and used extensively by company men who may not be guests but observe the rules and set the right tone for western visitors. It is far better than the images from the hotel suggest - spotless, three baths (hot, medium and cold) and a really good, super hot sauna. There's also a great space to cool off in the night air. The hotel is in an excellent location a short walk to the mainline station and to a very large shopping and restaurant mall with lots of choice. Rooms are small but very comfortable. Coffee and other drinks are available from a kitchen space downstairs. A chef appears about 21:30 to serve up free ramen and many guests come down to enjoy this in the loungewear provided. It is very handy if you arrive later in the evening when most local joints are closed, though we prefer to eat earlier. There's a mini mart round the back with all essentials and a professional kitchen knife shop that's easily missed just a minute away, with a wide choice. If visiting the castle and garden, it's a 30 minute steady walk away. We used this as a base for the region including the inland sea and Hiroshima, and it worked very well.

It would have been helpful to have checked in earlier and the slippers provided are tiny for my fat feet, but otherwise I couldn't fault it.

The location is about ten minutes walk from the train station, but it was fine as it was between a pharmacy and don quijote and i was able to compare prices with both. Also, it was on the same side as a lot of eateries. The bath/sauna facilities was great and I used it as often as I could. I love the outdoor bath as well as the water spray above the chair. They give out free ramen from 2130-2300 daily with free drinks (coffee machine or cold drinks), free ice cream (I forgot the time, but it usually was great after soaking in hot bath) and free yakult drink (500-1000 am), there was also free comics as well as free cold pillow.

Lovely onsen on the 11th floor and a good buffet breakfast with Japanese and western style food.

We originally booked a standard room but it was the size of a postage stamp. It’s only big enough for one person or two people with tiny bags! So we upgraded. Also, I had two packages delivered to the hotel while I was there and although the comms by message had been good before the stay, no-one told me there was a parcel for me and it had arrived several days previously. Some of the staff seemed quite new so they were still probably in training. They were all very friendly.

The onsen was the best part - not huge, but large enough, it had a very relaxing and calming atmosphere, clean, well-stocked, good amenities. Complementary frozen treats and probiotics in the AM were nice extras. Women-only laundry was a pleasant surprise! Convenient location less than 10 min walk from station, and 2 Family Marts within 1-2 blocks and 7-11 also nearby. Not a fancy hotel, but had everything we needed for a comfortable and worry-free stay. Would definitely stay there again.

Only a cosmetic issue - would recommend either cleaning the carpets inside the elevators or replace with solid surface flooring due to wear and tear. And not a fan of the motion sensor room entry way light, especially when getting up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom - lights up the whole room.

Could not use the onsen because we have tattoos, but this is normal in Japan. We were on the 10th floor, and our room window was next to a bunch of aircons(?), and below the spa, not sure what was but every morning around 7-7.30am, the room would have this constant noise, almost like a turbine running. Luckily, due to the jet lag we were already awake around that time.

If you now reading this review, I strongly suggest you book this hotel or at least list it on your top priority. The hotel really suit for 1-2 people stay and extremely value for money. - There are both indoor and open-air Onsen with sauna. After the bath, they provide you with free Ice-cream or probiotic milk. - There are small manga library at the top floor, which you can borrow it and read in your room. - Around 9.30pm. they provide a free ramen service at the restaurant. - The breakfast is testy and varied, they even have special dishes serve in buffet line to suit with festival timing(I go there at Christmas timing, they got strawberry short cake and ChirashiSushi for new year season). - Location is also great, not so far from main station and surround by restaurant and department store. - Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Nothing to complain, but if I really need to write some. - The room size is pretty small, around 14sqm. - There are no bathtub in your room. So, if you are female on period or having tattoo, you can only shower. - The double bed size might not suit for 2 plus size guests.

Cleaning of the onsen is at 10. If you want to enjoy them right before check out. Bad luck. The bedpillows are thinner then a sheet of paper. Ask more when you check in, it will save you a trip down if you notice when you want to sleep.

Very friendly and helpful staff, the person who had not made the booking arrived first and they let him check in, and I had booked the wrong dates but they sorted it out right away. Very close to Okayama Station, fanatic indoor and outdoor onsen baths, sauna and cold pool on top floor with free ice cream, free noodles in the evening, decent size room, convenient coin laundry area. Kept our cases after we checked out until the evening. Quiet, good mattress, would definitely stay again.
