Location was the most compelling reason to stay at this Hampton location. Its colonial lobby architecture is lovely, but the rooms are quite dim and it's hard to read. Breakfast was nice, including a refreshing fruit salad. Valet parking is $38. They have a shuttle that will take you anywhere within 2 miles, which I could walk, but doesn't help if you want to eat at a traditional Portuguese restaurant O Dinis, which is 3 miles east on a highway, so ended using Lyft and Uber. Staff is nice, but don't seem inclined to use some executive initiative to ease the experience when one is spending so much for a one night stay and the hotel is not close to capacity.

I was coming in after a very long night of travel across the continent, and was granted an early check-in around 10AM -- it was incredibly generous and extremely appreciated! All staff were kind, courteous, and happy to help with anything that they could. The hotel is very neat, smack in the middle of downtown, within walking distance to all major sights and attractions. My room was clean, comfortable, and I was assigned the accessible room that I have requested. Complimentary breakfast had a great selection, and ran until quite late. Check-out only at 12PM, which makes a stay super comfortable. Plenty of convenience stores, restaurants, shops, etc. only a block or two away. 10 mins of easy walk away from Providence Train Station. I was very satisfied at this property, and I would recommend it to other visitors. Thank you so much!

The staff and the complimentary shuttle around town!! Everyone we had an interaction with were friendly and went above and beyond to our stay comfortable. I chose the hotel because of the central location, guaranteed accessibility for my elderly mother and good value. First we were upgraded when our climate control systems wasn't working properly (and the engineer did give it a good effort!). Then the two shuttle drivers we had were so friendly and helpful with my elderly mom getting in and out of the van - and one even gave us a quick tour of "the Hill", which we wouldn't have seen otherwise. Even the man helping keep the morning breakfast in order made sure I had plenty of food and an extra tray to bring it up to my mother, who was a late riser. The team seemed to really be happy to work with each other and help the guest. The atmosphere they created for the guest really exceeded my expectations!

The lighting in the lobby was very cold and more suitable for office environments from the 1990s. It was a shame because the reception/dining room has a lovely history feel and the lighting was not flattering or welcoming at all.

Excellent location downtown. Easy walk to a dozen or more good restaurants, and other amenities. Apparently a former bank building. Good, free shuttle service too. But it only runs from 7 AM until 10 PM, so if you get into the airport later than that or need to arrive earlier than that, you have to take a taxi or Uber. Staff were friendly and helpful.

They had a problem with their key card machine and couldn’t provide key cards to anyone the day I arrived. Didn’t get it fixed until midway through the next day. Tried to use the Hilton Honors app and it, too, was very glitchy. Staff had to bring people up the elevators because that required a key card and get people into their rooms. Elevators were old and slow and noisy.

Location is fantastic in this very walkable, clean, friendly city. Breakfast room is large and beautifully decorated with a soaring ceiling and yellow and white Georgian style wall paintings. Breakfast offered hot entrée as well as the usual cold offerings were extremely quiet and my room was next to a linen closet and an ice machine. Never heard any noise. A free shuttle will take you to anywhere within 2 miles of the hotel. We used it twice, and the driver was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and timely. It cannot replace Uber, but was very helpful to us.

Parking was costly but equal to all other downtown hotels.

Very nice hotel! LOVELY staff, GREAT breakfast;eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, cereal, breads, etc. The coffee was excellent. I was not expecting that type of breakfast... Nice surprise. The room was a good size, great, roomy, clean bathroom as well. I would stay here again. Kudos to the manager here and whoever does the hiring. Everyone working here seems to love their job. Thank you for a pleasant stay!

Only one thing... The pillows were too soft, for me. . Everything all was perfect.

I was there 4 a Symposium on mass incarceration held at Brown University. I appreciated the breakfast, shuttle to and from the University and the hot chocolate. The security was awesome.

The only things that were turn offs for me was lack of fridge and microwave inside the rooms and lack of African Americans in front desk. Correction, there was one African American male at the front desk and more importantly, I wasn`t aware there was a $100 fee for potential damage to hotel room. That should be listed visibly before registration. Otherwise, I would stay there again.

Staff were friendly and accommodating. Instead of choosing valet parking we parked around the corner via the valet's suggestion at a lot which was more convenient for us. After we checked out but before picking up our car for the day we were allowed to use the locked lobby restroom. (Thanks guys!! Much appreciated!) The room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was convenient and satisfactory. As we mostly walked around the city we found that the hotel's location was fantastic.

Our room had a view of the parking structure next door. Not a problem - just not pleasant.

They were very accomodating and let us che k in early. The room was comfortable and the staff were helpful. There was also a shuttle bus which took us to the train station, although quite a few of the staff told us it wasn’t operating! I also like the 24 hour tea and coffee facilities.

The breakfast options were average and half the staff told us the shuttle bus wasn’t operating.

The hotel was in a good and decent location, really easy to get there and spent the rest of the night in a comfortable place. We love it.

We went to this hotel for the first time and the person that checked us in wasn't friendly. The worse part was that she handed us the room card without directing us which way we were suppose to walk to find our room. I hope she does better next time..
