The hotel was nice and clean. It was actually what it says on Booking.com "A house in Estroril" = villa with circa 15 rooms in a very quiet location. The beach as well as restaurants and shops are circa 300 metres from the hotel.

There are however several unusual things that are not clearly listed on its Booking.com profile. There is no staff at the reception! The check in is done via WhatsUp. Couple of days before your stay you will get a message with all the details – codes from the front door and you room door. For me it worked fine. Then you communicate with the hotel reception only via WhatsUp messages. But the response is in general fast and professional.

Super clean and modern with quality finish, fittings, shower etc. plus a large lovely external communal lounge. Attention to small details is immediately obvious (ie free toothbrushes with names on !) Very attentive and helpful staff with easy correspondence via WhatsApp / text. Brilliant views, really quiet and pleasant good nights sleep guaranteed. Honesty system for snacks and drinks was nice touch, although we didn’t need it.

Penthouse room was a tad more cramped than expected, nowhere to put any larger bags etc (fortunately we had only hand luggage) hang shower towels. Whilst glass toilet door made it feel larger it may be off putting to some (and perhaps noisy)

A house in Estoril is a modern guesthouse with, clean rooms and very comfortable beds, a nice outdoor garden, less green, more stoney with trees, and a lovely, spacious communal garden room for breakfast, hanging out, and a 24/7 honesty bar. It's a quiet, relaxing, and calm place, with very friendly staff and only 3-5 minutes walk to the beach, which was brilliant. It often felt as if we were the only people staying there which we liked very much. We also got a complimentary bottle of wine and a card, since our stay was part of our honeymoon.

The rooms a fairly small. Our first room was so small that our big suitcase barely fit on the floor next to our bed. On our second stay we got upgraded to a slightly bigger room with a veranda which was more accomodating. But since we were out all day, mostly going the beach, it didn't matter that much. Outdoor washing lines would be good to have for drying beach towels etc.

A really nice house. Good room, spotlessly clean and a handy location. Check in was remote with codes but easy and the owners in touch via whats app.

A minor point only. The room had an emergency light above the door which could not be turned off. It lit the room up at night in a green glow which was too bright. It would be better if this was not there.

We liked the location and access to the beaches, shops and restaurants. It was a short walk to Cascais which was a bonus. Check-in and out was by key-code and once you figure it out, it is convenient. There is no staff at the property but they were very prompt with our inquiries via email and phone call. The outside sitting area and breakfast/lounge area was a nice addition to the property facilities.

The room was very small. We had two carry-on suitcases and it was difficult to find a space for them without them being in your way.

The outside area was lovely, as was the guests outside room. Hosts were very helpful and quick to respond. Good location, 20 minute walk along the beach to Cascais and a few restaurants nearby. Rooms were very clean and modern, bed was comfy, TV with access to Netflix.

Could be a little noisy at night, depending on other guests. However, this was not really a problem for us. Rooms a little on the small side if you have a lot of luggage as we did, however, very well equipped.

Good location

One night out of four there was very heavy walking in the room above. It lasted over an hour after midnight. It was irregular with loud crashing, so it kept startling me and I could not go back to sleep. I didn’t hear any yelling but if their room was as small as mine I don’t understand how they could be so loud so late

The process of accessing the room was really good and simple via coded door locks sent by message to my phone before arriving. This does away with the need for a full time reception. The room was clean and light with the bathroom having a sliding door walk in shower. Another thing we noticed was that other guests were all very respectful towards each other with no noisy neighbors or late night party people carrying on after the club. Sure, people did come in late but they were as quiet as possible.

The only thing we missed was having a kettle in our room. For clarity, there are hot drinks making facilities in a shared communal space which is across a courtyard with seating inside and out. It's a small gripe but it's the only thing negative I have to say.

Good rooms and a very large lounge/living room area, which is the main plus of the place. Located along a busy road, but the house itself is quiet. Location central in Estoril and very close to the train station.

Stay is entirely digital so no staff around, which makes the place feel quite "empty". The lady at breakfast was friendly, but offerings were limited in choice and quantity: the guest before us cleared most of the "nice" items such as pastries and sliced fruit from the buffet, and it seemed there wasn't much left to replenish it when we came in.

Could have done with a dustpan and brush in the room as there was only a clean at the end of the stay and there was sand from the beach in the room. Having said that a staff member came and hoovered when I asked for a dustpan and brush.
