This is an authentic hotel with amazing staff who bend over backwards to be of assistance and make your stay at home from home. Hotel has amazing restaurant with really well cooked meals extremely good price! Showket was amazing and looked after us like VIPs.. and helped us book a car for a day trip at a very good rate. The hotel is located in a very busy area so if you’re looking for an exciting experience in Bangladesh this is great - not so much if you’re after another “Hilton”. We also enjoyed the spa facilities .

Rooms were a little old-fashioned and my room was opposite some kind of service entrance so there was a lot of coming and going and doors slamming and trolleys passing but not at night when I found it peaceful and slept well until morning prayers!

Great facilities (pool, spa, etc) and good dining options. The room and beds were comfortable and air conditioning worked well (which you need in Dhaka). The complimentary shuttle pick up from the airport was appreciated. The hotel staff were helpful. The hotel provided a driver and tour guide (Rabiul) for a whole day tour of the Old Dhaka, Museum and a riverside fish restaurant. Rabiul was fantastic and definitely provided us great experiences of Dhaka which was the highlight of our trip.. he was a lovely man, knowledgeable and we felt safe in his hands. The massage and spa facilities were good and had a lovely relaxing massage (the masseuses name I forget). The housekeeping staff were good and gave a good turnaround in time for our laundry.

The location is not ideal.. right in the midst of the city hustle and bustle.. it was quite noisy with the traffic at all hours. The hotel lacked some of the details of a high-end hotel, such as the fridge in the room was not working as the plug was not in the wall and there was no way of plugging it in. Also, the hotel was not able to provide us ice for our drinks, which we thought was a little peculiar. Also there was no soap for the showers which we had to ask for but which they promptly provided.

I stayed here 5 years ago and still remember the personalized service I received then. Location is great, breakfast in abundance with lots of choices, courtesy non-stop, and concern for the well-being of the guests. A bellboy would accompany to a bank or ATM because it's crowded on the streets; boarding pass was printed when needed. The hotel shuttle was always there, safe and on time. I always feel at home here.

I cannot say anything negative about Sky City Hotel.

This hotel has THE BEST customer service ever! The staff are exceptionally polite, helpful and professional. Everyone speaks English. I travelled to Bangladesh for medical treatment. I am a woman and travelled with my young son. I was very nervous about safety. However the hotel sent their driver and collected us from the airport in their own company car with the hotel name on the vehicle. Free of charge. The person helped me through customs and even took all my baggage for me from baggage claim. He told me that the hotel sent him and showed me proof, so no one else was able to bother me to try and 'help' me with my bags. The helper had my name printed on a card so I could recognise him. I can not praise this hotel enough and have already started planning my trip and stay for 2024. I will be returning. Their gym and swimming pool are amazingly clean! The food is delicious and has a wide variety. The room was HUGE and so beautifully decorated. It was so clean. The bathroom was like a room in itself. It was enormous! Largest bathroom I've seen in a hotel room. We had daily water delivered to the room free of charge. My son was able to run around and play in the room as it was so spacious. There was one miscommunication with the hotel, however Mr Islam was so brilliant at rectifying the mistake and took all the steps to ensure I was fully happy and compensated. Usually I may have been upset with such a miscommunication, but the resolution was so amazing, that I left happy and satisfied.

The hotel was a little difficult to find after the first time I went out and tried to return. I later asked the hotel to tell me the best directions for the cab/ rickshaw/ CNG drivers.

The Hotel is a good option at reasonable prices at the location and plenty of food options nearby. The rooms are good and upgraded. Good Ambiance and pleasant stay environment.

Breakfast / restaurant could have been better. I did not like the food at the restaurant. Maintenance of the rooms should be improved to ensure Safety and convenience of the guests.

This is our second visit to Sky City after a period out in rural Bangladesh. The return to a good hotel was welcome after the challenges of travelllingin Bangladesh. I enjoyed reading the English language newspaper provided by the hotel. The high standards of service such as room maintenance ensured a great stay.

Electrical plugs in Bangladesh are not reliable. Our room had a two plugs like this. When alighting from the lift on the first floor for the gym there were was no lighting to take you to the gym.

The food in the restaurant and in-room service was great. Had the 2 bedroom family room which was great for big families. Had a microwave oven, sink and big dining table at the living area.

We didnt have enough towels for 5 pax which was pre-booked and had to request for it almost daily. Bathroom was clogged. Tv and furniture are dated. No sound proof. We stayed over the weekends and our rooms were directly below the ballroom on the highest floor. Heard alot of dragging of furniture noise late at night and when there were events, we can here the loud music.

A good hotel at a very reasonable price considering it included a fairly extensive buffet breakfast plus a heated indoor swimming pool and a gym--both quite good for a hotel. Big room, big comfortable bed, fridge, kettle, hair dryer, everything clean. Helpful staff.

Location was far from anything touristy. The main lift wasn't working so we had to use the service lft--but it was fixed by the next day.

Polite staff, clean & spacious rooms. What impressed me the most is an Executive Chef Parvaj Alam. He was with us every breakfast, asked if the food was delicious and made us a special things for this place. It was an amazing experience. Thank you very much!

Sky City provides excellent service in well maintained premises close to transport. The location just off a major road ensures a peaceful rest. Breakfast has good mixture of local and European food. the multi-grain bread was excellent. the complementary coffee and tea in the room were kept well stocked.

Our meal in the restaurant was disappointing.The curries were adequate but not good.
