The room was very spacious and clean, and the view could NOT be beat! We loved sitting out on our balcony just admiring it. The pool area was nice to cool off for awhile. The included breakfast was delicious and served quickly. The highlight of breakfast, though, was the sweet lady who was the server for the entire room. She had the best, warmest attitude! I sure do wish I had caught her name, but I have a funny feeling anyone who works or has been there knows who I am referring to!

The air conditioning was VERY COLD. Which was great when we got there, but in the middle of the night trying to turn it down after waking up freezing was hard lol...then, once we figured how to set it, it cuts off every time it hits the established temperature. Which is fine except it is loud, and we love the fan hum for white noise but that didn't seem to be an option here...so we stayed colder than we would've liked to keep it on longer. First world problems indeed, but , hey...it asked "what didn't you like" so I am nit-picking here!

Nicely remodeled with nautical motif. Very friendly staff, especially the breakfast server. Nice southern hospitality breakfast cooked to order with a little variety each day with some variation of eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, toast, yogurt parfait or blintz. Relatively quick breakfast service. Wonderful bridge & marina & St Augustine views from the 2nd floor room and breakfast room.

Although slightly different each day, breakfast was still a little repetitive after 3 days. Even though it's remodeled, the basic hotel has older bones and the walls are pretty thin so both nights we could hear the neighbor's TV and/or snoring. front desk staff was partly successful in getting them to turn down the TV. Price of ~$300 seemed excessive for what we got although it was still a decent deal compared to other nearby places.

Gourmet breakfast every morning (included with room rate). Social hour every evening with heavy hors dourves and cash bar. Parking was exceptional. Elevator. Ice maching. Close to down town and the beaches. Staff was wonderful Capt. Gary at check in was so pleasant and nice and helpful. Miss Belinda every morning at at breakfast greeted us each morning with that big smile and a hot cup of coffee. Jessica at front desk was also very helpful.

Everything was perfect

View was spectacular! The room was comfortable. The shower was a little challenging but we figured it out. Breakfast was very good. Staff is wonderful especially Jessica and Gina. The evening hors d'oeuvres were a very nice touch and were delicious. I have to say the location is perfect! We walked over the Bridge of Lions and we were right in the center of all the wonderful sights.

The room was very clean and spacious. The balcony was plenty large and had comfortable seating. Rainfall shower head was refreshing! Breakfast was very nice, and the ladies who served it were as kind and accomodating as they could be! the front desk duo (guy and a girl) who checked us in were very friendly and funny, and also allowed a little later checkout the next day as I had nowhere to go because of foot pain until our kayaking tour. Much appreciated!

The pool area closed at dusk and while I am sure there are probably safety concerns, that was disappointing. It would also be nice to have been able to sit by the beautiful fire pit. The only other thing I can think of would be having a full bar (beer and wine only now).

Have to be the best view rooms in all of St. Augustine! Very romantic setting overlooking Matanzas Bay from the east end of the Bridge of Lions. Easy walking distance into town. Gourmet breakfasts each morning and cocktail hour snacks for an hour every evening are included in the room price. Every room has a balcony or patio on the water side. The staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. Property is just a short drive to beautiful Anastasia State Park Beach where umbrellas and beach chairs can be rented.

Summer temps had the small pool’s water un-refreshingly warm but the power jets worked as a warm hot tub.

Our stay was AMAZING!!! Nice rooms and huge showers. Breakfast was presented so well and the best food we had on our entire vacation! And let's face it, there's a lot of good places to eat. ALL staff was friendly and accommodating. The o'dourves offered each day was a nice touch. Views were wonderful! We even saw dolphins from our room. Easy access across the bridge. Spa area was very relaxing. Marker 8 is truly a GEM!

The only thing the room was missing was a microwave to heat up leftovers but staff graciously allowed us to use one of theirs.

The view from our little patio outside the room was great. Every single member of staff was very friendly, some of the best ever. Location was good as ok for the town but there are some great restaurants and other attractions on that side of the river. Laundry room very handy.

Internet regularly dropped out. Pool is a plunge pool/spa so no good for exercise. Some elements of decor need refreshing urgently if charging good money.

Everyone at Marker 8 was very kind and informative. The location was perfect as we could explore Anastasia Island or walk across the bridge of lions to downtown St Augustine. The views were beautiful. Belinda was our waitress for the free breakfast in the morning, and she even remembered our orders every day. Nice Personal Touch. The food was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel for all the personal touches and perks.

I recently stayed at Marker 8 in St. Augustine with my husband and toddler, and it was a delightful experience. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and kind, making us feel right at home. The facility was immaculate, and the breakfast was both delicious and satisfying. The view from our room was stunning, and the hotel’s location made it easy to explore all the famous attractions of St. Augustine. We will definitely visit again and highly recommend Marker 8 to anyone looking for a fantastic stay in the area.
