This is my second time at Novotel Bucarest, the first time i was with a friend, now with my family. A very nice hotel, in the center, close to the metro Universitate, close to restaurants and other shops and in a very nice street. The breakfast is very good and the bar also. The hotel is clean.

The only 2 problems for me were that my wife eats gluten free and there aren't a lot of options to take, very few food with no gluten, i recommend to add more because sometimes people need this due to celiac which is an ilness. Second thing is that there is not enough place in executive rooms for 4 people, altough there is a big bed and a sofa bed for children but there are very few closets so you need to keep the clothes inside the suitcases which is less confortable especially when you are with children. But beside this, everything is perfect and it is a very recommended hotel to stay more than once.

The Novotel is perfectly situated within Old Town and very easy to access from the airport and Bucharest North train station. The property itself is large with a modern lobby and an all day bar/restaurant. The room was very comfortable and of a good size. A pull-out couch was set up for our daughter, which was a nice touch. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, the hotel provided a very comfortable, convenient stay and a great jumping off point for our explorations of Bucharest.

The hotel has a small pool in their wellness center. One has to walk through the gym to access it and at the time that my daughter and I went, around 8 PM, there were no towels left and no one replenishing. The pool remains open until 10 PM, so this was unfortunate. We ended up locating one towel that we were able to share between the two of us. I would also note that the pool was surprisingly cool. There is a note to this end in the guest rooms [that the hotel pool is kept at a lower degree for eco reasons] but I found it to be just a touch below enjoyable, especially as it is not a lap pool and not designed for exercise, per se.

Location was excellent, the old town was within walking distance from the hotel and the area was clean. Also the neighborhood where the hotel was located seemed safe even when it got dark outside.

In the hotel room toilet and the bathroom were in two separate enclosed spaces. The bathroom sink was located in the other room, nowhere near the toilet. Also the soap dispenser was placed in such a way where it was difficult to access. The breakfast at first glance seemed fancy, but the selection left something to be desired. The pancakes were hard and cold even when we arrived at the exact moment they started to serve the breakfast. Also the lack of yogurt was disappointing and very few items were labeled.

The location is amazing, right at the heart of the city center, the rooms were clean.

The fold-up bed (from the couch) did not have any bedsheet or blanket although we made the reservation with our child, so the facility was informed in advance that the sofa-bed was to be used. The fold-up bed was so hallow that it was impossible to sleep on it, so we had to tuck in the Double bed with our child. The toilet is in a separate room from the bathroom, so after you use the toilet, you have to move to the bathroom to wash your hands.

I loved how central it is and how easy it is to get to all the major points of interest by walking.

I disliked it when my 7 year old found a pair of used underwear under his bed, next to a dead cockroach. I also found it terrible when the concierge’s reaction was just a blank stare, without even an apology. Housekeeping kept knocking on the door and entering the room on a daily basis just to “check the minibar” and that was also very annoying. Only 1 pair of slippers for 3 occupants. Novotel isn’t what it used to be. Its location was the only highlight of our stay there.

Location was excellent and it offers a closed parking space (with extra charge). Breakfast was great and the rooms were properly equipped and furnished. Linen and towels were spotless and the room overall gave a nice cozy feeling.

The room was a bit cramped and the sofa bed was in poor shape. The room and bathroom could use some more amenities but most of all the ventilator did not work properly in neither the WC nor the bathroom. As the window didn't open, the room didn't get fresh air and filled up quickly of steamy hot air.

It is a beautiful hotel located in the heart of the city within walking distance to the old city surrounded by nice shops and good restaurants. Loved the Rituals products in the bathroom. The staff were amazing, the rooms clean and very comfortable. Perhaps the most amazing thing is how quiet it is. You cannot hear any other guest and the hotel was full. They have a great soundproofing system. We are returning guests and we will be coming back soon.

There isn’t anything we did not like.

The location couldn't be better for our stay. Large and comfortable room with modern design The hotel was spotless, the room was cleaned daily A big thank you to the staff, they were professional, polite and helpful, they provided an extra blanket to cover the springs of the sofa bed and helped us with a late check out when our flight was delayed. The wine bar downstairs with nice atmosphere. The room was sound proof and was extremely quiet.

A lot of people complained about the separate toilet and shower but I already encountered this in other 4* hotels of Barcelona, London or Athens so was not so blown out by it.

Novotel has all the amenities and the required comfort for a short stay - business or leisure - in the centre of Bucharest. The lobby was wonderfully decorated for Christmas.

It is only a feeling, I personally don't like that the rooms are hermetically closed (the windows are one piece, they cannot be opened). I understand this and I stayed in many hotels of the same type, it's just not my favourite).

Location is top. Breakfast is excellent, but coffee it typical hotel quality, i.e. awful. The restaurant is rather strange, more a wine bar, but food is tasty and wine selection is really good. Go for local (Romanian or Moldovan) wines!

Coffee, or rather the lack of proper espresso. The room layout with separate WC is good idea but it lacks a sink to wash your hands. And the translucent door of the bathroom facing the bed is also annoying. Spa: small pond for a pool and only steam bath, no sauna.
