Review: We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! Despite its compact size and the quirky neighborhood, everything was exceptionally well-executed. The staff was always helpful and accommodating, ensuring our needs were met. Our room was well-proportioned, spotless, and very comfortable. The Wi-Fi worked well , and the spa and pool in the basement provided a wonderfully relaxing experience—especially the sauna. The bar and restaurant were warm and welcoming, and our group dinner exceeded expectations—it was even better than expected, beautifully cooked and presented. Overall, a well-designed and enjoyable hotel with great attention to detail. Would definitely recommend!

I don’t recall any downsides.

The staff were amazing—polite, attentive, and accommodating. While the hotel is decent by Bucharest standards, it doesn’t fully deliver on the expectations of international 5-star quality.

We stayed in the Epoque VIP suite at , and while the room was spacious and comfortable, it didn’t meet 5-star standards. The furnishings and amenities lacked the premium quality expected for a luxury stay. The food was disappointing and below standard. Additionally, the hotel imposes a €150 fee for ordering food from outside, as stated in a notice in the room—a policy that feels excessive.

We loved this hotel, easily the best of all the hotels we stayed at during our trip to Bulgaria and Romania. The location is great, on a side street and quiet, next to a beautiful park, where we walked a few times. It's not too far from restaurants. The staff was fantastic; everyone was welcoming and friendly, and gave terrific restaurant recommendations. The one that was formerly an inn was just perfect; we thank you so much for telling us about it. We had a memorable meal there, chatting with some diners from Hungary, and (shh) feeding the resident cats under our table. The breakfast staff was particularly exceptional; they always greeted us each morning with a big smile and remembered our preference after the first day!

our first room was perfect but when we returned from Brosav, we got a room on the second floor, right next to the terrace. We heard people talking late into the night and early in the morning. It's a shame because the view was great, and we really loved the location of the room. Maybe the hotel could institute a policy of no terrace access before 10 am and after 10pm, so guests in the nearby rooms could sleep better?

The friendly and helpful staff! From receptionists, till the waiters in the restaurant, Lizzy - the masseuse, the cleaning ladies, they all have been lovely.

Even though we had a nice suit, as we traveled with our baby, we requested a cot next to our bed (as I am breastfeeding at night). Unfortunately, it wasn’t possible to place it next to the bed due to the very small space between the bed and the walls. I wad to sleep on an extensive couch which beside not being comfortable, has been very noisy at the lightest move, making sleeping difficult.

I just loved this hotel. Good location not too far from train station (Bucuresti North - about 25 mins), and the place was the perfect mix of charming, comfortable, luxurious, friendly. The room was spectacular (junior suite), and so comfortable (some much needed luxury after some extensive rail travel to here from London). Reception staff were kind and helpful, and requests (more coffee pods, top up of bottled water in room) were quickly met. The spa in the basement is small, but charming, and there is a great bar with good (if slightly unusual, at times!) cocktails - delicious way to end the day.

I left it a bit late to book a treatment in the spa, and they couldn't arrange it - so... if you want a massage, let them know with enough notice!

Really lovely room (308), more of a suite really. Superb a/c, very comfortable bed and excellent facilities. Breakfast was of vey good quality - have the Romanian breakfast at least once! -, and cheerfully served. Dinner in the restaurant (£100 per head including tip and wine) was superb - a must have if only once. Wines and other drinks very good. Best of all, the staff (shout out for Edouard and Madelin) are universally lovely, apparently really intent that you enjoy your time there and wanting to do whatever they can to help. Worth very lei.

I am really pushed to think of anything, but I suppose that the coffee was OK, not specially good.

Friendly staff, clean and great decor. Excellent location with easy 10 minute walk to the Old Town. Bar area was lovely with an option to sit outdoors in the sun. Lots of great cafes nearby.

Room/suite was large but the actual bedroom was quite small and darkish due to the small windows. Gym was basic and had no ventilation. Spa was small but lovely, although you had to request for the sauna to be switched on which took around 45 mins so not ideal unless planned. Breakfast is a la carte which we didn't try but lots of great cafes nearby.

Fantastic looking property and it continued to be fabulous inside. We were greeted really warmly, checked in quickly and treated to a glass of fizz! Room was a junior suite - large room, big bathroom, big bed and nice and quiet. Really clean and just all round a luxury stay!

Our only complaint was that it was a little hot in the room but in fairness we didn’t ask for help with the air con which we couldn’t figure out so not really the hotels fault!

It was kept very clean and tidy, all staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They arranged airport transfers for us and trips when requested. The staff made our holiday really enjoyable.

There was limited outside space for sitting in the sun. The front terrace area was lovely for breakfast, but had no sun in the evening. I fully appreciate this is difficult in the middle of a city.

Everything it’s nice in there!

When I come late and the guy at the till was asking where I’m I going? Then I said to my room and him was insisting with security questions…… good for the guests there but not a nice sensation for the customers making feel like you should be there. Much simple and feeling better ask only the name don’t tell me what I’m I doing there, not nice ! Anyway still my favorite place to go and I will be back soon.
