A well-located historical property. Easy to walk up to the plaza although pavement spotty and dark at night. Gardens and porch were lovely. We were well looked after by Rosenda who was very friendly and made a great breakfast. Room was quiet and bed comfy. Huge selection of dvds / videos to select from and player in room - a nice touch.

Much is made of the innkeeper Peggy but she’s only there at weekends. Imagine it feels more vibrant when she is there. The room was cute and quirky but a bit tired, though clean. The rug in the bathroom was scruffy. Entry into the car park would be tight if you had a very large car.

Delicious breakfast. Guests make their menu choices when checking in, so the breakfasts are personalized. Ideal location for visiting sites in and around downtown Taos. Within easy walking distance of the plaza, shops restaurants, even some museums. Lovely and intriguing decor in common areas; room tastefully decorated, good use was made of the small space; very peaceful surroundings, removed from main street traffic noise.

I have poor night vision, so arriving after dark and navigating to the entrance was a little difficult. I would have appreciated a little more help finding the entrance. The "entrance" sign was a little above the main door, not well-lit, and we missed it. The room was small, which wasn't a problem. But I didn't know the queen bed would be a "micro queen". Perhaps my fault, but I thought a "queen" was a queen. Stairs up to the small closet and bathroom were a little awkward. Maybe a well-placed night light would help.

The setting was beautiful, the “living room area” was lovely, the bathroom had a coffee maker and all the proper bathroom things, etc.

Although the breakfast menu, given to us the night before, was substantial and we could choose whatever we wanted, by the time we got to our chosen breakfast time at 9:30, the main dish was stale, and I think probably microwaved after it had been cooked either the night before or earlier that day. We just should’ve chosen the scrambled eggs rather than the “breakfast enchilada“. That was pretty minor. The property was just really beautiful.

This is a charming property that feels a bit like going back in time. The bed was comfortable and the room was thoughtfully accessorized with coffee maker, wine glasses, bathroom supplies, etc. We had the smallest room and it was cozy but manageable with the 2 of us. It even included a fireplace. The breakfast had many items to choose from both cold and hot. Peggy the owner went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. The location was a 10-15min walk from the Plaza.

We seemed unable to receive more than one channel on the tv. There was a DVD/VCR player but the room where you could select these closed at 8pm and we had failed to plan ahead. We also had difficulty getting the AC to work and the window could not open as there was a screen in the way. I am sure if we had stayed an additional night we could have gotten assistance with these items as it was likely user error. Be sure to ask for instruction when you are taken to your room. The other item worth mentioning is that although the property is within a 10-15min walking distance to the Plaza, the street the Inn is on is not very well lit up. So if you are walking back after dark it could feel a bit uncomfortable.

For the people traveling with babies - this was a wonderful stay! Peggy goes above and beyond and it really has a home type feel. The breakfast every morning is phenomenal, the VHS tape selection is huge if you have to get in early so baby can sleep, the room size was perfect for us (bathroom big enough to put our pack n play for a quiet space for our baby to nap. Very charming with a fireplace and the cleanliness is up to par. The property is run very efficiently and they are on top of it. Would stay here again.

I think the only down side for us with a baby is there wasn’t a high chair so my husband and I had to switch off holding her while we ate (she’s 1). Also, the property is close enough to walk to the plaza but we took her in a stroller and the roads to get there don’t always have a sidewalk and they can be super rough.

Breakfast was delicious. The server was friendly and attentive.

The grounds are stunning and give the best first impression. However, the heart of the Inn on La Loma Plaza is the owner, Peggy. It is quite apparent that from the very beginning, she will do whatever is necessary to ensure your stay lives up to and exceeds expectations. Her staff, HB and Rosesandra, are helpful, engaging, and friendly. They, too, take pride in the Inn. The interior of the main building is stunning and welcoming. HB will help you carry your things to your room! And your room will be prepared by Rosesandra, as if you are the VIP! The room we had was beautiful, well appointed with amenities, and offered a good night's rest with a very comfortable bed and pillows. In the morning, I slipped outside early to sip my coffee and enjoyed the peacefulness the flowers had to offer. I can not say enough about the Inn on La Loma Plaza. You will enjoy a stay here. Take the time to learn the rich history as well!

Inn at La Loma Plaza is truly a gem--and one of the best properties my husband and I have ever stayed at! The hospitality, history, comfort, location, and atmosphere are unmatched. The Inn is run by a woman named Peggy who makes breakfast each morning and greets you each day. The Inn itself is a historical landmark, having been built in 1800, and is a piece of history in itself. The Inn is located walking distance from everything in town and is only 30min from the ski valley (easy drive!). Also, dog friendly with a large front yard for the doggos to hang out. We cannot wait to come back to Taos--largely because of Peggy and the Inn.

Beautiful inn situated around lovely gardens .. thoughtful details like chairs overlooking the lawns. The innkeeper Peggy is so considerate and friendly! We had a lovely delicious breakfast out on the patio. Our beautiful room has such thoughtful details like robes, water already in the refrigerator, a selection of coffees, and wine and water glasses were provided.

I can’t think of a thing I’d change.

The staff, especially the woman who cooked us breakfast. The guy at check-in didn't speak much, but i think he was shy. We had a fireplace in our rom!!!! We loved sitting outside on the chairs in front of our room. They had videos we could borrow to watch in our room.

We reached the place from the back and didn't really know how to get in our where to go. It may be the fault of Google map, I'm not sure.
