The Dreamcatcher is truly a treasure. We were in town for a wedding. We arrived Thursday evening and left Sunday morning. Check-in is seamless using a keypad code so you can go straight to your room without having to deal with keycards or front desk hassles. Anything we needed was available and we reached staff via text and they are super responsive and helpful. The property is quiet, peaceful, lush, beautiful with easy access to Taos. It’s a small OASIS. At the daily breakfast, we met other guests to tell stories about their travels and got to know the staff who are just so pleasant and accommodating. Fresh cut fruit, breakfast muffins, individual quiche, grits, excellent coffee, and fresh juice. We filled our water bottles every morning for our daily Taos explorations. Stay hydrated! The climate is so dry! I bought eye drops at Albertsons to soothe gritty, dry eyes. I can’t say enough about the comfortable bed, linens, pillows, water pressure, and room temperature, & mini fridge & k-cup coffee maker. The Kachina room has turquoise tile!! We love thrift shopping and even hit garage sales, KTAOS flea mkt and Taos flea mkt on Sunday. We bought local art at Quarter Pop Press Gallery. Our luggage was overstuffed from shopping. We hit Taos Mesa Brewing; Gorge Bar and Grill; Taos Rockers (gems/crystals); Thunder Lizard beads; Camino Real Imports; Rio Grande Gorge Bridge; Earthship Biotecture tour $9. Newlywed couple stayed in the Phoenix Earthship. We saw the best examples of the architecture in real life - an indoor koi pond, birds flying around in the tropical greenhouse, fireplace/water fountain; thick adobe walls built from tires, glass bottles, old beer cans. This is a home! On our drive up from Albuquerque we took hwy 14 through Madrid and ate at the Mineshaft Tavern. Their mad chile burger is great and you can get a gluten free bun. We loved their Slice of Hefen beer on tap.
My sister prefers brighter lights indoors. Also, the kcup coffee maker had no function to brew hot water for her mushroom tea.

1. location and ambience. 2. Coffee creamer in the room 3. Great shower 4. Tasty breakfast
1. I didn't know beforehand that there are 3 steps in the Hummingbird. I'm a senior with some mobility issues and would ask the owners to consider installing a handrail on at least one side. 2. I didn't like not having a microwave in the room. Although I was informed that I can use the one in the dining room, it's inconvenient when you've already "cozied-in" for the night. 3. The Hummingbird parking space is too tight. 4. Could hear (but not understand) neighbors talking. I'm a little hard of hearing, so because of posted "quiet hours", I felt like I couldn't watch TV (and hear it) after 9 pm. :( 5. Late and limited breakfast hours (8:30am - 9:00am). I wake up early and prefer to start the day earlier.

I love that there are so many trees, and so many sitting areas. There were also a couple great grassy areas for our dog to potty. Super comfy bed with lots of pillows, and the kiva fireplace was wonderful. In the room, there were hand-blown wine glasses, lots of Q Tips, and the coziest robes EVER. These may seem like random things, but they're very thoughtful and detailed-oriented. The whole place is decorated in a cozy southwest theme, which I love. Breakfast was delicious both days we were there! I wish we would've gotten to try to oats brûlée-- hopefully next time!
We wanted to be able to walk to the plaza, but the roads are so narrow that we didn't feel safe doing it. And there wasn't anywhere to take our dog on a walk unless we drove somewhere. There's radiant heat under the lovely turquoise ceramic tiles, but the floor still felt cold, despite following the directions for getting it to warm up.

They actually prepared my family a “to go” breakfast right at 8:30am as were were headed out early for a rafting adventure. While we drove to the plaza, it is not necessary. It is only a .4/.5 mile walk to the plaza on some narrow roads. The speed limit is only 15mph and we saw plenty of dog walkers in the morning. I would walk to the plaza if we were to have stayed an additional night. We also lit a fire in their courtyard fire pit with everything needed provided by DreamCatcher.

Low key, contact free check in, open dining room in the morning to take or leave. All private entrance rooms. The property was nice enough to give me an unexpected upgrade to the Geko Garden room due to a repair being made. This was legitimately the most warm and welcoming room I have ever stayed in. I wanted to move in forever! Beautiful property. Close to all interests but far enough away from the main drag. Rio Grande gorge is close by and worth the short drive!

Very quiet, grounds are beautiful and serene. Rather than being sterile and impersonal, we had our own private cottage, it was welcoming and comfortable. They thought of everything down to the personal welcoming note and chocolate chip cookies. The instructions were more than adequate, answering even the smallest of questions so we didn’t have to bother staff. Breakfast was delicious and served prompt and hot. DEFINITELY would stay here again.
Only thing I can think of, and it is trivial, I would like to see a choice of medium roast coffee pods in the room, along with bold roast.

The whole setting had a feeling of intimacy and casual elegance- the gardens, the rooms, the dining space. The breakfast was great, lots of choices. Communication with hosts and self check-in was quick and smooth. We’d gladly stay there again!
Only one small thing, the driveway and walkway to the room was made of small pebbles. It was difficult to pull wheeled baggage, especially with our room at the back of the garden. Not sure there’s an easy solution that would fit with the garden’s ambiance

This was a very enjoyable accommodation. My husband and I thought the bed was comfortable. It was super clean and enough room for our things in the space we were in. I particularly liked getting up in the morning and having a nice, private place to sit outside and take in the autumn fresh air while having coffee. We would book here again.
The only thing I would suggest changing is a well lit sign for the property for late night arrivals like us!

First, the property is away from main streets, so it is quiet. They allow guests to self check in. The room was clean, spacious, with a comfortable bed and wonderfully decorated. Welcome cookies! The grounds are kept, and there are plenty of areas to sit and relax. The innkeepers are easily reached and communicate well. Breakfast is made hot and fresh. Wonderful stay. You are only a 10-14 min walk to the downtown historic area. My pup had a good time, too.
Nothing, everything was wonderful.

We loved the breakfast each morning and the hostess was so kind and welcoming! The room itself was incredibly cozy and well decorated. My group particularly could not stop raving over the sheets on the beds and the bath robes provided. It was nice that there was a Keurig in each room. The self-check-in option was seamless and very convenient for us when we had some delayed travel and arrived later at night.
Getting the water temperature right in the shower was a bit of a struggle.
