Eric and Elizabeth made us eggs for breakfast which were delicious on our last day (and eggs for us to take back to our cabin when we arrived). They also spent time with us talking about all sorts of things which was delightful. It was wonderfully quiet (something in short supply where I live. The place is full of lilacs and next time we'll try the hot tub and sauna! I also appreciated the historical info about Huxley. :)

I walked around the place and would have liked to know where it was ok to go/what not to do (maybe a little map with dos and don'ts?).

This place is straight out of a storybook! Our idyllic cottage was set towards the back of the property, surrounded by wildflowers, a cedar hot tub and sauna, hammocks and plenty of little spots for relaxation and inspiration. Our family of four adored our time together. The kids couldn’t get enough of the adorable animals. Could have stayed forever!

Booked a small cabin but got upgraded to a very nice, cozy cabin. Fenced in area for my doggo while I sat outside enjoying sunset. Woodstock great for heat and ambiance. Walked the grounds and saw the lamas, goats, chickens and friendly cat.

Shower wasn't working properly most likely due to freezing temperatures. Wasn't an issue at all for me just staying one night.

It is a charming unique place. Funky. Chickens, hot tub and the land were the bonus. We were delighted with the bird population we saw on our morning walk. Eric was a delight as well. Would have liked to have had more time with him.

The couch bed for our daughter did not have any sheets that we could find. I'm sure if we had asked for them we would have been provided with them, but we did not discover this until it was late in the evening. Expect low water pressure in shower.

I stayed in a tepee. Nice, clean comfortable. The water available was not comfortable, hard to manage and a leaking hose that get you wet every time you need to get water. I find pretty outrageous that I have to pay more than $50 as cleaning fee for three days in a tepee. Unfortunately, due to that “small detail “ We won’t repeat .

Thought I'd made a big mistake when we first pulled up - beyond rustic! But it is a working farm and truly a retreat. Our cute little suite made me smile - and it was immaculate and so comfortable. Enjoyed the animals - especially the chickens.

Absolutely no complaints

The only problem was the property was listed as being in Arroyo Seco and it was actually over 20 minutes from there in the opposit direction if where I needed to be. This mattered because I was hiking in the ski area the following morning and it took another 25 minutes to get to the trailhead

Secluded beautiful area. The cabins are perfect, has everything you need for a quiet get a way. Very comfortable. The farm animals are so cute, and the staff very helpful. The stars at night are amazing. Fishing close by, nice spots. The local fishing stores will give you directions and tips.

We loved the grounds and location! Adorable animals, extremely cozy cabin, beautiful scenery. We were able to let our dogs run around and play. There was fire wood already cut for us for the amazing wood fire stove! The kitchen was a nice size, and both beds were comfortable. It was clean when we arrived, and the staff was friendly answering all questions. We had an amazing time.

If I was being extremely picky, because we enjoyed our stay so much, I would change only one thing. When we arrived, no one had started the electric heater, and I think that would have been really nice to have! It was just so chilly, it took a very long to get the cabin warmed up. But, like I said, everything else was so perfect. Very minor inconvenice.

We enjoyed the farm and had a nice but small room. It was very comfortable and met our needs. Eric was very nice to talk to as well. It was close enough to all activities we were doing with our family.
