The owners were very accomodating, as we needed to move to an upgraded suite for one night that it was available. The suite was well kept and one we would consider for a future trip to Taos. When we arrived no one was present at the office, and without any notes or emails or texts on when breakfast would be served, but when they returned we were updated, and an excellent breakfast was served. Thanks to the owners for their excellent customer service.
Mountain view is not readily seen due to overgrowth of shrubs across the back of the property, except for one corner when standing in the backyard. Perhaps some shrub cutback would enhance the property for all visitors.

Hacienda del Sol is a gem within a very special part of New Mexico. Our stay turned out to be part of the TAOS experience. The coded entry allowed for independence and quick access to our room. Breakfast in Mabel's Lounge was exceptional, with both local and traditional continental breakfast options, calming music for a peaceful ambiance and excellent coffee and freshly squeezed juice.
Jacuzzi was available for sign up, but complicated due to the cold weather we were having as it is quite a ways away from the rooms and requires uncovering and recovering the hot tub. It's not that it bothered us, it just meant we didn't use it although we had been expecting to. Hanging out in the extremely comfortable rooms with coffee and tea and a mini fridge available was a more desirable option after dinner and drinks in town.

The room was fantastic with open fire place, steam room and jacuzzi tub! It made for a very relaxing solo vacation to unwind which was exactly what I was looking for. Breakfast was elite with traditionally prepared tamales which I would happily gorge myself on along with eggs, meat, coffee, juices, muffins, etc. Located a little out of Taos centre, but close to the Taos Pueblos
Nothing wasn't to like. If anything, the parking could be a little tight if you had a very large vehicle and the entire place was booked out? But this wasn't an issue during my stay.

We stayed 3 nights at this wonderful small inn. It is located a couple of miles outside of downtown Taos right off the main highway but was peaceful and quiet in the property. There are about 12 rooms located in two historic structures. Our room was very tastefully decorated, comfortable with a king bed, gas fireplace, and large bathroom. The wood ceiling, French doors and vintage leather chairs added to the ambiance. A delicious cooked breakfast is served each morning in a pleasant room or in the adjacent patio. Keep in mind that this is not a full service hotel. Staff is only at the facility for the morning breakfast and for a couple hours in the afternoon. The rooms are not cleaned on a daily basis. However the property is very well managed with coded entries to the rooms and exterior gates. There are extra towels, toilet paper etc. in the charming lounge. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. There is a nice hot tub set in a private area of the garden that you sign up for so you get it to yourself. The grounds are lovely with lounge chairs and a view to the mountains. We had a great time exploring the area then returning to our peaceful room. Lots of great food in Taos, including the Love Apple next door (reservations a must). Highly recommend this accommodation.
We liked it all!

Our room was well-appointed, roomy and very comfortable. It was also very quiet. The facility is convenient to a major highway but no road noise could be heard in our room or in the patio and courtyard. The courtyard is serene and inviting, although the flowerbeds want just a bit of weeding, like mine. ;-} The breakfast is truly outstanding. One of the best ever! Ask the server about the property's interesting history.

This is a special location and you really breathe in the history of the place! The breakfast served is spot-on and I really loved the local delicacies and the freshness of the products. Big pro for this location!
The location isn't very child friendly as some of the rooms cannot be darkened and there are no baby cribs and child or high chairs. Secondly, the location is not very close to the village centre (walking distance).

We absolutely loved the staff that we met during our stay. July 7th was a peaceful day and evening with the most comfortable bed and singing birds in the morning. July 8th we had an incredibly delicious breakfast made by Caesar. He was so kind and helpful and met all of our needs. Talented chef! We were so impressed as well with Blaire that morning. She was so kind and gave us recommendations for places to see in Taos as well as in Santa Fe, our destination that day. We loved our experience with all of you! And we loved the special tour in the secret room :) We also loved the easy parking right by our door, our own patio, delicious coffee in the room, the view from our room and all of the beautiful variety of tall trees.
We were sad to learn that the jacuzzi was not working during our stay. It looks so nice, located outdoors in an incredibly private location that even has sign up times.

This place is beautiful! I love the rooms! It was nice to have the new digital entries! And we were personally greeted at our room door! The hot tub on a starry night is fantastic!
Our bathtub would not drain unless we "rigged" it. The breakfast spread changed quite a bit since my last visit . . . it was the same every morning, when it used to be different and much more selection. Our room was next to the door going in and out of the court yard, so people would let it slam each time . . . Early in the morning, so it woke us up.

Phenomenal personal greeter... Very informative and kind. The room was lovely. The bathroom was spotless and the bathtub inviting .The breakfast was out of this world! As was the staff who prepared it. Having just stayed two nights at the sagebrush inn, the comparison was beyond striking. I will never stay anywhere else, when visiting beautiful Taos!

The shower has a built-in sana, which was super nice! The room had a private 2-person hot tub. The bed was very comfortable, and the AC unit in the room worked well and provided good grey noise. The orange juice for breakfast was freshly squeezed and fabulous! It's a very nice atmosphere. The gounds are scenic. The host was very friendly and quick to respond to my questions.
There was a fireplace with logs and a lighter but no kindling, so I was unable to get the logs started, but had I known it was an option I would have brought my own. The room could have benefited from a pest control spray, nothing major, but there were several stray spiders in our room, including a blackwidow's web hanging from the ceiling in our shower. It's an older facility, and the room shows its age. Overall, It was very comfortable, but for the price, I was expecting more/better. Overall, it was an okay experience, but at this price point, I probably wouldn't stay here again.
