Really nice property, lots of pretty places to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful Taos scenery. My balcony had a view of the Sangre de Cristos, which was awesome! Room was super large and breakfast was honestly probably one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had.

The people next to me were smoking marijuana on their balcony at the same time I was out there, which kinda spoiled the ambiance. YMMV on that of course. It wasn't an issue for me, but there are no elevators, so if you can't do the stairs ask for a ground floor room. Finally, the hotel *is* within walking distance of Bent Street but it still felt like a bit of a hike iibh.

Several two story classic adobe buildings from the 50's & 60's surrounding a grass commons with some trees and well tended plantings. The desk staff in the small lobby are very knowledgeable and attentive. Clean up to date rooms with wooden floors are very inviting. Breakfast from 6:30 to 9:30 is wonderfully varied and freshened continually by the cheerful staff. Plenty of parking close to the rooms. Everything is thoughtfully done and the beds are great. Location is at the north end of town, within walking distance of Taos plaza and plenty of dining choices. You'll want to come back.

The large bedroom, the beautiful grounds, the fantastic breakfast, the location, most of the staff was very helpful. The breakfast offering had a great variety of items: tamales, great green and red salsa, beans, waffles, 2 different options for eggs, biscuits, gravy, different types of bread, fresh fruit, almond milk- only the first day, cows milk, Nutella, jams, potatoes, variety of teas.

We were there for 2 nights. Would have appreciated some light housekeeping to empty trash cans, change towels and make the beds. However, I was able to promptly get the clean towels I needed by calling the reception. The almond milk and 1% cows milk was only offered on the first day.

This is the best place value for money . The breakfast was exceptional with the variety of selection you get and quality of food. The staff was very kind and always refilling coffee at every table. It actually had stainless steel silverware and no paper plates and plastic spoons and plastic forks. The breakfast was actually the best I have ever had in any hotels at this star level. They had wide variety of options, coffee was very good. The hotel area was very clean and very well maintained . We never used the swimming pool but there were always kid and folks was saying it was very clean.

I liked everything , the hotel is old with rustic look. Don't expect anything fancy appearance and looks in the rooms but with the age of the hotel it is very well maintained.

The room was clean and very nice. We had plenty of room for our luggage. We had the hair dryer, iron, ironing board, refrigerator, coffee maker with coffee, lotion, shampoo, and conditioner. The front desk personnel were really good and responded very quickly with questions or needs (we just needed a DO NOT DISTURB sign for our room). The TV controller was hard to figure out but once we were instructed how to use the controller, we had no issues and they were great about sending someone over right away. Overall, it was a very nice hotel and we'd stay again should we be in the area.

The bathroom did not have a vent fan so the bathroom does steam up (mirrors). There is a window in the bathroom that you can open which helped a lot to eliminate steam.

We've stayed at El Pueblo Lodge on numerous occasions when traveling with our small dog. This is an older property with a lot of charm. We usually book one of the "viga ceiling" rooms with a king bed and sofa, and the room is quite spacious. We appreciate having a small refrigerator and microwave. The bed and pillows are comfortable enough. The bathroom area is small, and the water pressure could be better but there is plenty of hot water. There is a good variety of breakfast items and you can always count on getting eggs, tamales, beans, breakfast meats, cereal, yoghurt, breads and fruit. There is a self-service automated coffee machine that also provides hot water for tea and it is available at any time of the day. The rooms in the back are very quiet (not sure about rooms closer to Paseo del Norte, the main road through town). We've never used it but there is also a hot tub. The location is great, only a few blocks to the main plaza. This property charges $25 for a pet for a one or two night stay; the rate increases for longer stays. The staff is also really friendly and helpful.

The air conditioning unit is located on the wall adjacent to the sliding glass doors, which would seem to be far enough away from the bed, but actually it is quite uncomfortable to run the A/C unit since the vents blow cold air directly at the head of the bed. Fortunately it was cool enough to open the sliding glass door to let in the night air through the screen, otherwise I would have slept with my head at the foot of the bed to avoid cold air blowing on me. Even running the lowest speed on the fan (no A/C) was too annoying.

The rooms are clean and spacious and beds are comfortable. There's a great breakfast in the morning and staff are friendly. Location is fantastic to the plaza, restaurants, shops, and cafes in Taos and not far from the ski hill! Really enjoyed this spot and felt it was high-value for being one of the lower cost options in Taos that was walkable to the downtown. Would definitely stay again!

Hot tub closed at 9 which we didn't make before we finished dinner. We were sad to miss out after a day of skiing and seemed a bit early.

The hotel was nice and in a good location in Taos. The breakfast was good with many choices. It is an older hotel but with a lot of character. Lots of nice indoor and outdoor spaces. They even had complimentary cookies and chips every afternoon!

Our only discomfort was being next to pet friendly rooms where we could hear dogs barking throughout the day and some at night. It would be nice to have the pet rooms all in one building so those of us not traveling with pets would not be near.

We had a great stay! The moment we arrived we were greeted with warm cookies and chips & salsa! This was a lovely surprise after being in the car for hours. We were also shocked by the room size. It is a lot bigger than what you get now a days. Breakfast had a great selection! There was plenty of parking space and the staff were super friendly and helpful! Additionally, you could enjoy the outdoors with all the outdoor seating options. If you are looking for something super modern, this is not the place, but if you want to have a pleasant and relaxed stay, you should 100% book this spot!

Fantastic value based on price, location, and quality. I had just stayed the night before at a motel in Sedona, which was an overpriced dump, so when I saw we were booked at this motel I felt some apprehension, but it far exceeded expectation. My room, a second floor king, was huge, comfortable, spotless and had a lovely balcony with two seats. I really liked the grounds, with nice covered outdoor seating areas. The included breakfast was very good and very substantial. There may be better hotels in Taos, but it would be hard to find better for the money.

The desk staff was efficient, but not particularly welcoming. A minor quibble.
