A very good-sized room with a comfortable bed. The location is extremely convenient to the main square and there is quite a lot of parking nearby (the time and day of arrival will dictate what time the parking needs to cover up to the next morning, or if not required e.g. on a Sunday). Hotel receptionist was friendly and polite (limited English-spoken, however, to be fair, not much communication is required to check-in or out!).

There was construction going on around/next to the hotel which meant its street entrance was not accessible by car and we had to carry our bags from the nearby street - over gravel so not wheel-friendly!. I suppose this will change once works are completed.

A great end to our roadtrip,as an overnight break from Belgium to Calais, this was a hidden gem. Bethune is a beautiful town, the main square being a very short walk from The Eden Hotel. easy to find hotel with a public car park literally over the road.

Carparking was stupidly expensive, 35 euros for a maximum stay of 4 .5 hours. luckily we were there on a Saturday and took our chances. do not park under the trees( dunno what the pigeons eat here!.) Nothing to complain about the Eden Hotel though.

Patricia runs an affordable , home from home , stylish hotel which is welcoming ,practical and well situated within the town. Breakfast is simple , self service buffet style competitively priced , with no staff intervention which was tranquil and worked well. The hotel although aged is well maintained and has everything you need for a pleasant stay and has a certain ambience . Patricia works hard with a minimum of fuss to maintain the high standards she sets and is a very approachable hostess. Although paid parking ( free overnight) is available adjacently , we used the huge free car park at Place General de Gaulle which is a 10 minute walk away , which was fine for us able bodied adults but maybe not so good for more infirm or little ones but certainly not insurmountable. -20 minute drop off available!

I have stayed here several times, always a nice place to stay. Friendly staff and they allow my motorcycle to be inside their courtyard at night. The rooms are nice with good showers and always clean. It's a stones throw from the Grand Place so easy to find a nice brasserie for beer and eating. Breakfast has lots of choice and you can fill up for the day. I will return again.

We really like this hotel - the location is great, it's quiet and yet right in the town centre, the staff are lovely, the rooms are super comfortable and I love having a full bath rather than just a shower. The breakfast is fine although I'd appreciate being able to have toast as well as the cold cuts, croissants etc.

My only additional preference would be for the option of toast with breakfast in the morning. Otherwise, the coffee and tea selections are fine as is the food selection.

The property is 2 mins walk from the square . We had such a warm welcome and the receptionist let us park our motorbike in a secure area inside the hotel which we hadn’t even pre arranged. Everyone was so helpful, this is a beautiful city centre hotel with loads of charm, well decorated and the bed was really comfortable. There was a fan in the room for extra comfort and this is the first hotel of many that we have stayed in that had USB charging points in the room which I think in todays age of personal electrical gadgets is a must. Would definitely stay again and can highly recommend.

Friendly staff, homely feel and in a fantastic location for the town with parking just adjacent to the property. The shower was powerful and the mattress nice and firm which is my personal preference. We’ve stayed before and will certainly be staying again.

Location was excellent. Main Square was only 50 meters away. Patricia was really friendly and helpful. She allowed us to park our motorcycles inside the secure courtyard. Room was a good size and bed was comfortable and standards of maintenance & cleaning were very high.

Check in procedure. We could only gain access to keys during certain hours on Sunday. It wasn't a major hassle as we sat in the main square and had a few beers until it was available.

The owner provided us with secure motorcycle parking, location is ideal for the town square, room was basic but adequate for our 1 night stay. Great price

The access to the room was via a long spiral staircase that was outside and slippy when wet, there was also a lift buy that led to a dark corridor

We were travelling by motorbike, and the hotel allows free and secure parking for motorbikes within their courtyard, there was room enough for 8 bikes. breakfast was of a high standard and quality. Location being very close to the hub of the city, with bars and restaurants a plenty.

No air con (fan provided) but this would not stop me from booking again or recommending to others.
