The rooms are good and mostly of a decent size .my en suite was a little cramped but had an excellent shower unit. The breakfast was an excellent cooked breakfast but there were continental options .The food in the evening was superb well above standard pub fayre . The first night I had 8oz rump and fries this was excellent @£20 and the second night I had sausages (3 lovely butcher’s sausages) and mash @£15 and again this was superb. The Proper Job IPA beer was excellent .I will be returning to stay soon.

Not much to be honest ,some guests may not enthused about the bedrooms but I was very comfortable and slept like a log.Perhaps it was the IPA?😂

The view the baths the pent house we stayed in was absolutely perfect kids loved it exactly what we needed you know it's good when the kids individually say to you that was brilliant we all loved it the pent house is a must because it's a separate building was worried from other reviews regarding loud music from the malthouse but was not a issue whatsoever a huge thanks to the staff was exceptional service and the penthouse was just perfect can't think of anything else to say to explain it thank you will definitely stay again was exceptional honestly loved it the kids had plenty of space to play around and enjoyed peaceful soak in the bath enjoyed the views 10 out of 10 thank you highly recommended stayed for 1 night will stay longer next time but for a quick not to far away it's perfect no brainer come back refreshed back to reality.

I had to leave wish I stayed extra few nights lol

Great location, good breakfast, really nice staff and a good price. In view of (I hope my constructive) comments below, I would like to add that we enjoyed our stay and we would stay again

Our room was called "The Parour" and it desperately needs a new bed. It is ridiculously creaky, very uncomfortable and not helped by the cheap and lumpy pillows. Also there was no bulb in one of the bedside lights which as well as being inconvenient could also be a safety issue in certain circumstances.

Location, we were there to celebrate New years eve so at the pub for celebrations and live band. Opposite the river in pretty Ironbridge. Nicely decorated rooms, lovely linen, towels and mini toiletries.Shower lovely and plenty of hot water. Tea and coffee making facilities. Clean and comfortable, plenty of space. Huge TV. Nice staff, good breakfast choice.

Bed was a bit squeaky. Room was noisy in the morning, other guests coming and going. Probably as there is a gap under door which also let light in. Minor suggestions;Could do with a shelf and mirror above the sink in the bathroom.

We celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary here and on arrival there was a complimentary bottle of bubbly chilling in our room.. The room was clean with ample towels, toiletries and tea and coffee. The breakfast and evening meal were very good as was the service and waiting staff and bar staff attentive at all times. The evening entertainment was excellent on both the Friday and Saturday evenings. Our room was serviced on a daily basis by a very polite cleaner. We can only speak highly of Harry the Manager and his team of staff who looked after well with attention to detail at all times. We would both highly recommend the Malthouse Hotel and from the minute we arrived on the Friday afternoon to leaving on the Monday morning we were certainly looked after really well by Harry and his team of staff. We were concerned about parking on arrival but were told to park at their sister hotel, The Swan which was 2 doors down the road. Well Done and we would certainly visit again.

Everything was excellent.

I stayed in the little building at the side of the pub it was nice and roomy but I think they could make more use of the space in the massive rooms there was a bath in the room that had no bath plug so we could use it so think it’s just a waste tbh a kitchenette would be more useful in that space

That when the pub closed the side bar then turns into like a night club people sat out on the courtyard till 2-3 am of a morning shouting ect so kept us awake

Standard of room and location were excellent. Not really bothered by the band playing. Novel fit out to penthouse suite. Food was excellent - both the included breakfast and the dinner we bought at night also. Staff very helpful.

Room was reasonably clean but floor not vacuumed well and surfaces still appeared grimey … so even though clean, not a sense of cleanliness. Also, departure waylaid by 2 hours due to being parked in by another guest and no way for the staff to respond and sort out which left a poor feeling at end of a great stay. Hotel should improve signage and warn cars could be towed if left impacting other guests.

Stayed in the Front Room on the Friday evening. Bed was comfortable and the bedding good quality and well laundered. The Shower was great. Very quaint room in a historic building, in a historic part of the world.

Toilet in room was in a really narrow alcove that made it difficult to use. Breakfast wasn't enjoyable, Sausage overcooked, Black pudding uncooked/cold, hash brown good. The music from the band downstairs could be annoying to some travellers but were downstairs watching the band anyway.

Close proximity to attractions

Unfortunately, our room ( the attic) was above the entertainment. The only way we could get to sleep was to put the floor fan on to try and drown out some of the noise. Looked like the bathroom was newly refurbishe. It could do with a toilet roll holder and a unit to put things on as there wasn't much room around the sink area. These couple of additions would make a big difference.

We loved how laid back everything was, the staff were great, very helpful especially Caitlin who was lovely, we stayed in the Bakehouse with our dog, breakfast was delicious, very good value stay & fab location, wound definitely stay again 😊

We stayed in the Bakehouse in the Turquoise room, it was a little small with our dog & we had our own private bathroom opposite which was ok, the only negative about the bathroom was that it needed some “TLC” there were no towel rails to hang your towels on, no hook either on the back of the door, there was no toilet roll holder & there were no shelves to put your toiletries on which was very annoying & disappointing as there was plenty of room on the walls for all of these little inexpensive extra touches?!
