This was right beside St. Nicholas Cathedral. Location-wise, it was perfect. It was just 2 bus stops away from the main railway station. The city square was within 5 mins walking distance. There were plenty of cafes, restaurants and supermarkets around. The receptionist at the hotel was friendly, helpful and spoke in English. The breakfast had decent variety. Rates were affordable. There's no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage up the stairs. But I knew this beforehand, so wasn't an issue.

The soundproofing in the room wasn't the best. I could hear neighbours talking till midnight.

In this case, it's all about the value for money. The location is excellent, fairly quiet as concerns street noise. There is no AC, but the sun only shines in for a few hours in the evening, so it's fairly cool even with +27 outside. The room is basic, but so is the price. The shared bathroom was no problem at all, nearby and clean. A good choice for an overnight stay in the centre of the city, everything is close.

There is no elevator (historical building, of course) and the walls sounded through, so the quality of your sleep can depend on your neighbours, at least in the shared bathroom apartments.

Perfect location, extremely quiet and very safe place. Room was very clean, the bathroom was clean as well. Personnel is incredible friendly and cooperative. Good breakfast (if ordered).

No elevators there. For older people granted room on the 3rd floor (4th level by American standards) climbing steps may be challenging.

It was clean and quiet. A tiny bit of street noise, but I’m sensitive to that. It’s part of a cultural center so there’s kind of a nice vibe to it, kind of sparse and that’s good. Not a romantic place per se.

Nice and cozy accommodation in the city center opposite the Orthodox Cathedral of St. Nicholas. The staff is very kind. On the very first day, I heard a rehearsal of the Orthodox choir downstairs - it was wonderful experience. Hearty breakfast.

The furnishing is in university dormitory style, but anyway it is very fine place to stay. Highly recommended! It was perfect to me.

The location is great, the rooms are quite spacious and bathroom is spacious too.

Bed was too soft so I couldn’t fall asleep. Also it can be noisy as it’s near the centre but it’s not their fault.

I didn't see an elevator. Not an issue for me since I travel light and it's a low rise building but if you have heavy luggage, it may be an issue.

Well, I didn't expect that. The service was exellent. Very friendly. Rooms were big and comfortable. The price is very cheap for this place. Private parking is available opposite the hotel. The breakfast was very good and they even served a personal scrambbled eggs specially for us. The bathroom have a bath and the shower so you can choose.

Need earplugs for sleeping because you can hear people walk in the corridor and some room’s door close loud.

location and quiet surroundings. I could go anywhere I wanted at the evening and slept very quietly at night. It was in the center of the sity and in front of a beautiful church.
