Clean, modern accommodation with a beautiful location opposite the elk refuge.

Excessive spam by the property staff via SMS and email. Automated checkin should simplify the process, not necessitate 9 emails and texts.

We loved everything about this property. Communication was excellent from booking to departure! Our room was so very nice and comfortable and had everything we needed. We would rate Elk Refuge Inn a 10+++ and would definitely stay here again. The views from our room were breathtaking! They even had a little welcome gift for us upon arrival. If you want to be close to the action of the town this is a great choice. You are only 5 minutes drive at most to the square!

If I have to say one negative thing it would be the noise from the main road, but they supplied earplugs if you needed them, but we didn’t.

Very close to Jackson just a couple of miles located out of town., Which makes it close to the get to Jackson hole ski area. It was very clean. The maid staff was very attentive and helpful. The free washer dryer on on site was very helpful. The small kitchen was small, but totally worked. People have been critical of the highway noise, but I didn’t find it to be a factor at all. You can’t hear the highway, but it’s not an issue. There’s no highway noise at night anyway. Very clean, comfortable bed. Overall, a very good stay. Even though it’s a motel style place, I never heard the people on either side of me.

Amazing view from the room! Our room directly face the wide meadow. They also design the place so that all cars can directly drive to the front of the room, which helps a lot for us to unload the luggage. A nice dinning table in front of the window. The room is also on the spacious side. Other then that, a basic motel that meets all of our needs.

There are a ton of bugs outdoor at night. We didn't notice that at first and a lot of them get into our room. The AC in our room also broke down, and we only find it out after the staff get off work. There is only 1 washer and 1 dryer here. On a touristy season like when we arrive, it can take a min for us to get to do our laundry.

The Elk Refuge was a wonderful inn with a rustic chic style that complements the wildlife and natural surroundings of Wyoming. Each room provided an amazing view of the National Elk Refuge across the highway, which was a beautiful sight to behold. The modern amenities and smart TV were great features. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the staff was very friendly, offering recommendations for nearby eateries. When we inquired about laundry facilities, we were delighted to learn that they were complimentary and even came with pre-organized laundry detergent and dryer sheets. This was a pleasant surprise! Overall, we will recommend The Elk Refuge to our friends and family, and we look forward to returning in the future.

This little property was so great for the price. Overlooking the Elk Refuge, the view is amazing and it is only a couple of minutes out of town. Our room had a nice balcony, two big beds, a dining table, a little kitchenette, and a bathroom down a little hall. The beds were really comfy, heating and cooling worked well and it was great to cook some meals. They had salt and pepper and cooling utensils. Shampoo and conditioner. There was also a guest laundry that was free to use with detergent provided.

It was a little on the older side, but clean and fantastic for the price and location.

Excellent value for the area. The room has everything you need for a comfortable nights sleep. It's a road side motel on the way into Grand Teton National Park so the location is what you are paying for. It's also only a 5 minute drive outside of downtown Jackson. I was pleasantly surprised by the comfy bed, nice view of the elk refuge, and cleanliness. There was a Keurig coffee maker in the room but you can also get a morning coffee at the convenience store and gas station that shares an access road and parking lot.

Can be a little noisy in the morning with all the traffic heading into the park.

This uninspiring motel is a gem. From the outside it doesn't look like much but inside is a room that is very spacious with a full kitchen (we didn't use it but it was nice to have just in case). Convenient location to Jackson. Noisy as it is right on the highway but I brought earplugs with me (I'm a light sleeper). They provided earplugs in packages which I thought was a crack up.

The refrigerator could have been colder but that is a problem with most hotels. I was sad that there were NO elk across the road in the Elk Refuge but you can't control animals.

Location and generally - very clean and comfortable. I am a photographer, so the location is excellent.

There was an old chip bag and other wrappers behind the headboard, the toilet was constantly running, (I finally fixed it). The thermostat had issues - One night I am not sure the heat ever came on. Room 106. but- I made due - Obviously it didn't bother me enough to call the desk or after hours number. But......really not ideal.

We had the handicapped room which was one of the largest rooms we had on our 24 day drive through the west. There was a cozy dinner area, a full kitchen, a living room and a bedroom in a different area of our suite. We were on the first floor but there was a convenient area in front of our room to have cocktails and enjoy the view of the elk refuge. We didn't see anyone in the reception area but they gave us the code to the room which was convenient.

That I could only stay here one night.
