The staff was fantastic and absolutely elevate the experience. Everyone is professional and totally customer service oriented, offering solutions and ways to improve our stay without even asking. The massages at this spa are otherwordly- probably one of the best I've ever had if not the best. The property is historic and quirky with a cool little outdoor theater and great drinks at the attached bar/cafe.
The walls in our first room were paper thin and the hallways echo every little sound. It felt very exposed sound-wise and we were thinking about asking for a room change the next day. Unfortunately our neighbors were fighting and yelling in the night and it was really disruptive. The staff response was stellar. They can't control the behaviors of other guests, but they definitely should put some resources into improving the sound proofing in areas of this old hotel.

Initially, I was assigned a room of lower quality than what I understood I booked on Booking.com. When I raised the issue with them, they quickly remedied the situation and upgraded me to a room that was higher quality than the room I booked. Upon checking out, I left behind my phone charger. I contacted the hotel upon arriving at my home and they located the charger and promptly sent it to me. They charged me a flat fee of $25 for the service, but considering the postage alone was $10, I did not find the fee un-reasonable considering the trouble they needed to go to, to return it to me.
Check-in time was a bit late (4 PM) which coupled with a check-out time of 11 AM the next day, meant guests staying for only one night had limited time to make use of the hotel services. Having said that, I was able to check-in early on arrival at 1 PM. As mentioned above, I was initially given a room of lesser quality than what I booked on Booking.com. The hotel claimed, the room I was given initially corresponded to the booking details sent through by Booking.com. Perhaps there was an error somewhere in the system, but my observation is, given the hotel was quite empty, the hotel might want to pro-actively upgrade guests if availability exists, rather than providing a room which does not show off the excellent rooms which may sit vacant.

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is centrally located, and the facilities were clean and charming. The staff was very welcoming and always willing to help or provide assistance. Our room was spacious and super comfortable. The whole vibe of the hotel is calm and relaxing. After a long day of driving around the wineries, it is the perfect place to relax. Due to its central location, it makes it easy to walk to any of the local restaurants. The pool is nice and well maintained. The facilities are in great condition. It has a vintage look, which adds to its charm. The addition of providing coffee and a snack in the morning was a nice touch. I would like to thank all the staff, who were friendly and welcoming.

Not only is the breakfast wonderful, but they bring it right to your room! It was the most amazing treat -- tea exactly the way I like it, freshly baked pastry, and fruit. The staff was so courteous and helpful at all times. The entire hotel is like a beautiful piece of history yet at the same time has all the modern conveniences. It's located right in the heart of Main Street so we could walk to everything and the area was perfectly safe, even at night. The rooms was a bit on the small side but that just goes with the historical vibe (and anyway the bathroom was nice and large). My friend said her spa treatment was wonderful and I really enjoyed the thermal jacuzzi. A true 5-star experience!

Located in the heart of Calistoga, on the main drag, it's easy to walk everywhere. There are many fine restaurants, two coffee houses, a great book shop, wine tasting rooms, lovely boutique shops, and of course several spas. Calistoga is very quiet, peaceful and charming. We had a very rejuvenating couple's mud bath and massage at Baths at Roman Spa. We had excellent dinners at Bricco Osteria and Sushi Mambo. The hotel was very comfortable, and the staff very nice and helpful. The pool area is lovely, and we enjoyed the natural mineral spa hot tub. Breakfast was coffee with pumpkin, lemon and banana breads, a blueberry muffin, and tangerines. There's a mini fridge, so we grabbed some yogurt, fruit and juices from the nearby market to add to our breakfast. The hotel also has coffee and hot water for tea in the lobby. Would definitely stay here again!
There is no parking at the hotel so you have to park on the street. Luckily, we were able to find parking behind the hotel on a side street, as well as 3-hour parking in front.

We had a lovely stay at Mount View Hotel & Spa, with a complimentary room upgrade, friendly staff, and a clean, spacious room—while the pool and hot tub could use a little upkeep, we still enjoyed a relaxing dip, and any minor issues (like a faulty coffee machine) were quickly and professionally resolve. We managed to park out the front from 18:00 to 10:30 for free. There are several nice eating establishments and bars. If you fancy a drink beyond 22:00 - Susies bar stays open later for a drink and a game of pool

Great town for a base when visiting Napa Valley. Calistoga still has small town vibe and charm and Mount View is right in the middle of everything on Main Street. Easy walk to everything in town and comfortable drives to activities and wineries throughout Napa Valley. The artist suite we stayed in was quite nice though a bit smaller than it seemed in photos. The outdoor Jacuzzi was really nice and complimented the resort pool and hot tub perfectly. Plus parking that came with the artist suite was a big plus.
Staff greeting us was perfunctory and not very positive or happy. Other individuals around the hotel were largely lifeless except for one person who also worked at the small Jamaican outdoor pub next door, he was great.

The hotel is super charming and our room was a bit small but adorable. We enjoyed the outdoor hot tub. They delivered our breakfast in the room, it was simple but delicious. The hotel is close to restaurants, shops and wineries in Calistoga. + It's just 15min drive from Santa Helena.
Our room was next door to an outdoor movie theater and the sound was super loud. We wanted to rest and enjoy the evening and basically heard the whole movie from our hot tub. Besides that, everything was great.

Great location right in the middle of town. Free EV car charger which we used. Great friendly staff. Friday Night outdoor movie was fun! Old historical building in great shape and comfortable. Loved the daily soak in the mineral water hot tub and pool side misters kept us comfortable even though it was 105.
The lite breakfast is slices of carrot cake and Lemmon cake and tangerines. It would be nice to include a hard boiled egg or yogurt for some form of protein instead of all carbs. Coffee was great.

We were there in the off-season (March), so there were fewer staff and hotel guests. We practically had the pool and hot tub to ourselves, which was unexpected and relaxing. I am sure the vibe is great in the summer, but the outdoor bar was closed, and there were few amenities available at this time of year. Johnny's bar is part of the building, and it was a great place to hang out late. This historic hotel is right on the main street, so very walkable to all the restaurants and shopping.
I was very disappointed with the first room they gave us on the second floor. It overlooked a rooftop with air conditioning units that provided no 'pleasing view' at all. They did move us. The two rooms I saw were not as luxurious as any of the ones that appeared in the photos-so those must be the suites? There are lots of stairs to the second floor, which could be an issue for people.
