This tidy motel is ideally situated between the coastal dunes and Old Town Florence. If you need to stock up on essential items (Fred Meyer, Safeway) -- including caffeine (Starbucks, Dutch Brothers) -- such businesses are either within walking distance or a short drive away.

The motel has posted rules of decorum, all of which our neighboring guest broke -- loud conversation in front of our window at night, smoking within whatever-feet of a door, and littering. I initially felt the person at the front desk could have cracked a smile more often but, upon checking out, understood how overworked she must have been cleaning up after guests that hadn't been potty trained.

It was quiet and safe for a solo female. Cute room, and it met my needs. It was very affordable compared to other motels nearby, at least for the last-minute dates I chose.

The TV channel selection. I mostly had news , infomercials, and only 1 channel with a few comedy series. No hbo or other channel or movies offered. Water pressure was good and water was nice and hot

The rooms have been upgraded and the place is very clean and well maintained. The location is very close to the casino, old town and very tasty Thai food restaurant is right behind the motel that we loved. Beds are comfy and we will come back for sure. An excellent value!

It was a clean room with a comfortable bed. The shower had good water pressure and hot water. The central Oregon coast is beautiful and we spend most of our time exploring and have little need for hotel amenities. Clean and comfortable with a good hot shower is all we wanted and the Villa West provides this at a great value. Interaction with staff was minimal but professional and friendly.

I was pleasantly surprised by the remodeled rooms in this older motel. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the location is central and close to many good restaurant choices. The motel is located on a busy corner, but traffic noise wasn't too much of an issue during the night.

Very clean room. Check-in was fast and easy. Parking was adequate. Close to shopping.

This problem is not the fault of the motel. It is located at one of the busiest and loudest intersections in Florence. Lots of traffic and noise. The motel is still a great place to stay despite this.

Location & value

Car noise from being on hwy 101. Maybe suggest ear plugs to guess when they check in. Also, we had a 2nd room booked for 2 nights. They over charged us & I had to call to get a adjustment. They had 2 dogs at $25/night for each dog. A little spendy $$$ BUT, very happy we could find a hotel that took dogs at the last minute of a situation we had.

The place was kept up well and very clean. Front desk staff was very friendly.

My only complaint was the noise from traffic during the night. Other than that it was great!

The value was excellent, and I would return.

The trade off of having windows, is that I could here all of the noise from the couple arguing outside of my hotel. I should have complained, but I was just half asleep. I just put on noise canceling headphones.

The location is good for a few days of touring. The room was clean. Floors not as clean. But that is a problem with most motels I stay at. Right on highway but quiet at night. I would stay there again.

A little pricey for me but still cheapest in Florence which is overpriced.
