It's a quaint Mom and Pop, Inn. Very old school, not like the cookie cutter chains. The staff was pleasant and the room was quiet, clean and comfortable. My wife and I were celebrating our 37th anniversary, and she said we should stay there again. The barley biscuits at the breakfast were excellent.

The exhaust fan in the bathroom was noisy, sounded like it needed to be replaced. The shower head had a narrow spay that couldn't be adjusted. I liked the breakfast, but a few low carbohydrate items would be nice, like hard boiled eggs or sausage. These observations are not deal breakers.

Fine

I should have booked directly with the hotel. I overheard what someone else was paying and realized that the booking site charge was significantly higher.

Loved size of Family Suite. Nice to have couch and dining room table and chairs. Breakfast is always. Plus and this was yummy. Location for us was perfect. Lots of space to move around . Loved the chips for snacks and the little kids playroom was awesome. The lobby area is beautiful and comfy. Staff were very friendly and kind.

Bathroom lights kept blinking. No light in or near fridge. Lamp on dining room table didn’t work. Found used tissues by bed and at end of couch by wall. Carpet needed vacuuming in areas. Lights from cars shined through blinds on doors to balcony and window above fridge had outside light shine right onto head of bed making to hard to sleep. Refrigerator was extremely loud when it would start up about every 30 minutes or so all during night.

First of all, you don't find hotels like this anymore. This is an old hotel with so many charming aspects. The room was huge for our family. Family room is such a great idea and there was plenty of space for everyone to stretch out and sleep and hang out when we needed to. Breakfast is adorable barley biscuits with gravy or waffles or they will make you eggs if you ask! I personally would like an upgrade in the coffee.... But... There's plenty of it:) We were here because my mother is very ill and we need to stay close and visit her every couple of weeks. We come down from Portland. We need to spend the night because we're never sure how she's going to feel the day we have scheduled to see her. It was so nice to have a kind of Grandma hotel close to where she lives where we could pop in and out depending on how she felt. The bed near the bathroom which is where we parents stayed was unbelievably comfortable. I was surprised. The thick padding on the floor under the carpet keep the noise levels down. There's snacks on the table. There's a playroom for the kids. The Wi-Fi is good. It's old fashioned and obviously has been maintained by its owners in a sweet and homely way. We will be back repeatedly. The price is good. The location is good and you cannot beat the customer service. Eric, let us check in early and also check out late so that we could accommodate my mother's illness. He and his wife are warm and inviting hosts. You won't regret!

I live in the UK where older hotels like this are very common. A little scruffy but clean and quaint in their decor. I think some picky travellers might not get it. But anyone with children are in need for a little extra space. Will appreciate!

We loved the rooms, Jack and Jill with bathroom shared, and a balcony. We loved the quaint welcoming homey feel of the pace and the breakfast with kitchen was just like home away from home.

While I loved the balcony, there was an issue with the floor door seal kept lifting up and blocking the door from closing. I would have enjoyed my stay more if the room could have been darker at night. I turned off the refrigerator and tv for more quiet but the French doors needed black out curtains and fix that floor door seal. Other than that it was just what we like, homey, old fashioned, a bit antique but very clean!

The Lighthouse Inn is authentic and quaint. The owners are super nice. It is cozy and comfortable, and unpretentious. I like that it hasn't been remodeled in a lame way. Yes, some of the decor is funky and outdated, but that is better than everything being gray and bougie. What I appreciated about the Lighthouse Inn is that it is actually full of the original charm and history of Florence. I will definitely stay there again. And, I would rather give my $$ to local owners than a corporation or casino.

The property was built in 1938 and fully revised. It is a deluxe luxury hotel with room service and available at one's beck and call? No. It is resident owner operated (sixth or so owner of the property since construction), clean, friendly, and easily accessible on the main north-south road (US 101) through Florence, OR (USA). We required a first floor room, booked early enough, and had no issues. First rate and highly recommended.

In the USA, the standard mains plug is a NEMA 5-15, sometimes called a three-prong U-ground plug. The lamps on each side of the bed were only the older 2-prong style that will not accept a standard U-ground plug. This is a minor inconvenience.

Wing we were in was built in 1936, had a lot of character. We booked 2 rooms and they were attached to a Jack and Jill shower/WC with sinks in each room, it worked out very well. Bed was comfortable Breakfast was great with homemade biscuits and gravy, fresh waffles and eggs made to order

Limited parking at times due to a very popular attached restaurant. Due to the age of the property it was a little dated

The location is very convenient, right off of Highway 101 and well lit and visible with a mini lighthouse out front. Parking is good and I love the homelike atmosphere. The breakfast is good, and I always enjoy the biscuits that are baked fresh every day. The fridge and microwave are appreciated, as is the little table and snackies that come complimentary with the room.

The rug was a little rough on my feet, but the room was clean and the bed comfy.

No coffee until 8:00 am breakfast. There is a coffee stand about 2 blocks away tho!
