I don't know why this motel has got such a low rating. The staff was excellent and the room was as clean and as well-equipped as in any motel twice as expensive.

The Front Desk person (sorry, I didn't ask for the name) was exceptionally helpful and friendly, the room was simple (as expected) but very clean and everything in it was in working order. Although it's right along the road, it was surprisingly quiet at night.

I would have loved a coffee maker but I'm not sure if a motel rated with 1 star would have to have one. Minor inconvenience, I'd say :-)

If your looking to save big on your stay, then Silver sands Motel will cut your stay in half, compare to other motels, also the room is small but the Beds are very comfortable, very quiet at night even though your right on HWY 101, if we go back to Florence will stay again.............

The price was the best part. But overall, it was a nice place to sleep. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Have stayed at places that were much more expensive that didn't provide anything more than what I got here.

The stairs going upstairs were a little scary. There was nothing bad about it.

There’s no getting around it, this hotel is in need of refurbishment. But any shortcomings here are more than made up for by the attitude of the staff. John on reception, is the consummate professional, going well beyond my expectations to help me out when I had a transport problem. I really can’t praise his attitude highly enough - whatever they’re paying him isn’t enough.

It’s a little run down, but my room was spotlessly clean.

I like the office staff, I like the location. It takes only a few minutes to get to the beach, shopping, and the Three Rivers Casino. So far its been a quiet place to stay,sleep,and rest. The last time I visited it was a very pleasant stay for one night.

There is no air conditioning. There is no maid service available. If you need something you contact the office. Sometimes the sign will say they're open,but the doors locked. They are extremely short staffed.

No breakfast but good coffee. James at front desk is exceptional.

The cleanliness of the room was unexpectedly amazing. Also, on the outside it really gives off the vibe of the motels Sam and Dean stayed in during the first season of Supernatural, loved that!

Quiet. Owner is working on fixing up so have to take that into consideration. Bed was very comfortable. Nice, hot shower

I don't know why people are criticizing this place online. It is a clean quiet affordable motel. Front desk guy was cool and let me check in early. Quiet at night, walking distance to old town, plenty of hot water for a bath. It was great.

Nothing. It was fine. I would have liked at least one movie channel or a way to pay to watch one, but that is minor.
