This hotel was worth every penny. It's s located near a quaint little town with a ton of charm and character. In fact, we would have happily paid more and were surprised how low the cost was for such a fantastic room which is located in a gorgeous area, right on the ocean. The room was very spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. The beds were comfortable and we loved the chairs we could sit in to watch TV. The bathroom was very clean and modern. We ate at a restaurant down the road which had outstanding food. So very happy that I chose this hotel to stay in for my first visit to the Oregon coast.

I truly have nothing negative to say about this hotel.

It's a motel so you drive up to your room. Room #12 was a good size for 2 adults and 2 large dogs, and it was very clean. Linens were fresh. We received a welcome kit for each dog and they had many extra "dog towels" upon request. There is a charming vintage "unit kitchen" in the room that has a small stovetop if you wanted to do a little cooking (we did not). Water pressure was fine. The property has a huge greenspace between it and the beach access. It's not fenced, but it's perfect for walking the dogs away from the highway. Highway noise was negligible in the room. We felt safe & secure in the room, and on the property.

The innerspring mattress was terrible: lumpy, uneven, hard. It desperately needs to be replaced. My back, hips, and shoulders hurt so much each morning. This will not stop us from staying here again, though.

The staff was very kind (they had a vacancy so they upgraded my room to an ocean view for free!) and also knowledgeable about the local area. The owners have done a great job of maintaining the no-frills seaside motel atmosphere of the original property while also providing clean rooms and up-to-date amenities. The beach access is well-maintained and the views are spectacular!

The bathtub/shower was a little run down, but I didn’t mind. The back door (leading out to the beach access/patio) locks behind you when you exit, but it opens from the inside whether the lock is turned or not. The door is locked/secure, but I could understand why someone might be worried the lock is broken. I think a small sign/disclosure in the paperwork would help! Overall fantastic stay though!

Each room had beach chairs and tv trays as well as picnic tables. There were activities on the grass and the ocean was just a short walk away. We left the windows open so we could hear the crashing of the waves at night. The rooms gave you that old travel stile motel feel in a good way. We loved that we were able to sit on the patio and relax.

That we didn't get to stay longer. Upon arrival- around 7pm, We had to wait quite awhile before anyone showed up at the front desk. We felt rushed through check in a bit and may have missed some things. They were nice but rushed.

Huge play area + shared patio in the oceanfront rooms. Small, older rooms but very cozy, clean, and with cute beachy decor. Dog friendly - highly recommend if your in the area with your furry- there is a backdoor to the rooms that you can easily let your pet out to the huge play area to potty or play. The staff will allow you to check out Chuck It sticks, ballls and toys also. Front desk gal, Jozette (?) was very friendly and informative about hiking trails in the area. Donuts + coffee/tea in the morning were a nice touch!

More towels in the rooms. Especially during wet months and with your pet-friendly rooms.

The staff was welcoming and friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable. It's an older motor court type motel that has been updated and well maintained. My room had an attractive ocean-themed decor. The covered patio area looking out over the ocean is wonderful as is the big lawn area. Would be great place for kids to play. Access to the beach is by a long staircase. My stay was in February over an unusually cold snap, freezing at night. The room had a small electric fireplace heater that made it cozy, in addition to 2 wall heaters. There was also an extra blanket in the closet which I appreciated rather than having to ask for one from the front desk. The property sits back from a sometimes busy highway, but the windows were insulated so traffic noise wasn't a problem. Plus, the traffic died down in the evening. It's a nice, comfortable little place with a great ocean-front location.

We love the location of this property with its own access to the beach and for being dog-friendly. Can walk the beach south to the Ocean Trail for more great views. Dog supplies are provided which is a nice bonus. The remodeled motel is nicely done. Small rooms are comfortable with extended space including patio picnic table and lawn area to kick back and relax. And love the staff - they are friendly and helpful with info on local events and activities in town. Easy drive into Yachats and Cape Perpetua.

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay here. The room was very clean, comfortable, and cozy. The rooms are delightfully retro (in a good way) and this place brings the 50's beach bungalow hotel vibes. The short walk to the beach across the meadow is nice. The staff was exceptional with both our evening and morning contact being very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to coming back.

Privacy is a a little challenging with the ocean view rooms as they look out directly into the communal porch area to the meadow and ocean. I would describe the bed and chairs as overly soft and could benefit from some fluffier pillows. Overall, really great though !

The moment you enter this lodge you can tell the owner treats you as valuable guests as it feels so homy, clean, well organized, and invested as a most unlike motel. You are sleeping in comfy beds, using hardwood furniture, and a well kept and spotless clean bathroom. Your backyard faces the endless Pacific Ocean and your dreams will be filled with the flickering flames in your room fire pit. We enjoyed a very shot one night stay here but would love to come back again and recommend others too.
