Staff was excellent! All were very personable, polite, and professional! And very helpful! Above and Beyond! Breakfast was significantly better than expected! Great location for a staging point for participating in SOLV sponsored ONA Beach cleanup on Saturday. Liked it so much we decided to stay another night.

Bathroom could use some small repairs: tub had damage to the fiberglass shell; seat had cracks / abrasions so should be replaced; toilet kept running all night (reported), so plunger assembly needs adjusted / replaced. Sink had pin-hole leak directed towards front of sink (reported). When room was serviced, they didn't make the beds. Air circulation / ventilation in pool and exercise areas was extremely insufficient as the very thick odor of chlorine was very uncomfortable and made being in these areas impractical for exercise.

I enjoyed the cleanliness, bedding, amenities, location, and staff. Breakfast had a good variety of foods and drinks. Sorry I didn't get to try the heated pool, or Jacuzzi. The carts were a great asset to have when loading up.

However minor, I did notice the smell of bleach in the hall and an odor when I opened the door to my room, but it was VERY clean. Also, my wife didn't care to see men shirtless and dripping water in the lobby, and down the hall, she was afraid we would slip. I believe the biggest inconvenience was the parking, many vehicles where straddling the line, probably bc the stalls where stripped to narrow. I mentioned to one of the staff the the QR codes for tipping would not activate, not sure if it was just me. Please look into it so they are not loosing out on their tips, the place looks very neat, they deserve it.

We loved it. Good vibe from the moment we walked in. The front desk person was super nice and he was very helpful. There was an ice machine right by our room which we loved. The room was clean and they did an amazing Job in prepping the room for us. Housekeeping was on point and they were super nice and helpful. The breakfast was good, best I've had in a hotel. It was overall a great stay we enjoyed the pool as well. If you don't mind not having a view of the bay or beach you should stay here it is close to everything. right next to the aquarium and Rogue.

Nothing we didn't like.

While twenty years old, the property has been regularly updated and appears almost brand new, with comfortable, clean and attractive rooms and a pleasant, ample entry and front-desk area. The beds and linens were excellent, the room was quiet, and the hot breakfast was varied and well prepared and presented.

The front desk attendant on afternoon check-in was not especially friendly or accommodating, although a different gentleman at the front desk in the morning was pleasant and helpful. The location is a bit far from the center of Newport and lacks a picturesque setting in this Oregon-coast town. The rooms, however well furnished, lack a safe for valuables.

I was quite pleased to find a full scrambled eggs and breakfast meat breakfast. This is all I needed to feel like I well taken care of and did not need to acquire breakfast from elsewhere. My room was great and facing the front of the hotel. I considered myself very taken care of.

You could have given me the room for free!! I am just kidding but Booking.com wants us to have a whole paragraph to define something that didn't happen to us. I am going to type just a bit more to make them happy. Okay Done

Breakfast was very nice a such a help when you have so many things to do. So convenient to get up and happy ve breakfast before you head out to start the day. Very nice selection to choose from. The location is so very convenient. Close to ocean access, very close to the Newport aquarium, the wax museum, Ripley’s Believe It or Not, and so many other attractions.

The bed in our room was not very comfortable. Maybe just because we are in our sixties, could use a foam pad.

The location was perfect. Less than 5 minutes to the Oregon Aquarium! The staff was so friendly. Breakfast was impressive for a hotel. Pool and hot tub were clean and such a big hit with my grandsons! Across the street is a great restaurant and chocolate/gift shop! So nice to have it all so walkable!

Only thing I didn’t like is that there are not enough towel racks or hangers in the shower/toilet area. For 4 people there were only 2 hooks and there is plenty of room on the walls for more. I personally don’t like to hang things over the shower curtain rod so it was kind of a pain not to have more hooks. But it certainly didn’t ruin our little trip!

Location was great! Breakfast was fantastic. Pete at the counter was awesome! Great housekeeping staff ( can't remember her name but she helped us with whatever we needed. And the amazing woman who did the Breakfast!

The people who brought dogs could have cleaned up better. Maybe a location just for the dogs pooping area. I stepped in dog crap and had it everywhere, had to scrub my room and shoes. That was awful

Ana at the front desk was very welcoming and friendly, check in was quick and easy. The front lobby is beautiful and has hot coffee and ice water with a lovely fireplace seating area. Breakfast was hot and fresh with eggs, make your own waffle station, sausage and potatoes, multiple bread/ bagel and cereal options I just wish there was some fruit! Our spa room was beautiful amazing, the tub was spacious and set in its own offset cutters with windows and fireplace. What a beautiful stay. Thank you La Quinta we WILL be back!

Everything was excellent

This is the place to stay in Newport, OR. It's close to all Newport attractions. Hunter, the general manager, exceeded my expectations! We had a problem with the mattresses in our double queen room. Not only did he move us to another bigger room, but he also comped us with another night's stay. The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with quite a few choices for hot and cold breakfasts. When returning from our day's festivities, we were greeted in the lobby with iced lemon water, hot coffee, and warm chocolate chip cookies. Outstanding job, La Quinta! We will be returning!

The pool area was very noisy. A couple of unsupervised children were causing quite a ruckus.
