The staff were wonderful kind people. Very accommodating. I think they are understaffed. Stating it is hard to get help. Our check in was two hours later but they upgraded our room with a beautiful view of the bay and bridge. Our room was pretty clean for the most part other than the toilet being soiled under the seat. They had a nice continental breakfast and are very sweet people. It was the 4th of July so it was a very busy weekend for them I'm sure.
Check in on time. Pool in working order and toilet cleaned.

Facility was a little "tired" but quite adequate for the price. I arrived on a holiday weekend and while my confirmation email from booking.com had correct dates, hotel said I wasn't booked until next day. But they graciously made it right. Owners were on site and were personable and welcoming. Breakfast muffins weren't great but that's the harshest thing I can say...
Breakfast muffins!

The room was clean and looked like it is being updated some. The location was nice.
Since it is on the bay, I would of liked to see some sort of entrance on to the beach area so it is easier to go walking on the sand. I would of liked a better view looking out of our window in our room.

The room we had although older, was spotless. But the best thing going for this hotel is the manager and her husband, and restaurant staff! Our second night we lost our wallet and keys on the beach, it was my daughter’s birthday and I couldn’t go pick up her bday cake so the manager asked where the cake was made, picked it up and paid for it herself…I was blown away by her kindness, you don’t see that anymore. My elderly father was staying with us, her and her husband carried all of our luggage to the room without us asking, they just saw him struggling. The salmon in the restaurant was awesome, our server was friendly. I was nervous to stay here after reading the bad reviews but the longer we were here and witnessed people verbally abusing the staff and trying to get discounts, it made more sense why they gave bad reviews. People don’t get their way and seem to take it out on the hotel staff and it’s a shame! We will definitely be back!!

It is was close to the bay staff was very helpful they did get new owners so there is a lot of upgrades happening so the restaurant was down as well as getting new employees and getting them trained but hey thing happen and you have to start somewhere we had issue with then mini fridge but they got it replaced right away I was nervous after seeing reviews since I booked short noticed but over all I didn't have an issue with them I can't wait to see when the upgrades happen Im even planning on stay again when we come back next year it's close to crabbing and hubby and boys like to go out real early so it's very convenient and it's very quite but family friendly they have along way to go but the potential is there good luck to you guys and will see you next year
Price was a little high for it being outdated and there restaurant down also breakfast was a cold banana so it should be updated but like I said I did understand they have alot going on the place can really be amazing just they have alot of work ahead of them

The location was excellent, right on the water. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. We had a good view from our room.
Unfortunately, the restaurant at the hotel was temporarily closed, and the hotel is definitely old.

the location is great. we love the view of Alsea Bay and the bridge. we like walking the grounds and eating dinner at the Waves Restaurant, if we are there the nights it’s open. We also like it’s size, not so many guests, and the convenience of the parking lot. the beds are comfortable and there is Wi-Fi.
There are 2 straight back chairs with the small table that are okay for eating or playing board games, but aren’t comfortable for relaxing. (There are lots of pillows for relaxing on the beds.)

Music-Brett Lucich was fun to dance too! Room was clean. Nice view from room and restaurant/lounge area. Fire pits availble by water on the more protected side was a treat!
We arrived at 3pm for checkin.. We had to wait only 10 min to get our room. A little shorthanded I guess. But who isnt. I thought being able to check in before 4pm was a bonus! :-) The only other thing I would say is when coming I took the wrong turnoff closest to bridge off the hwy. Soon found it was the wrong one. Maybe make it more clear which exit to take.

The resort has a barbeque area overlooking the river and the Waldport bridge. Our room was on the ground floor with patio doors and a view of the Alsea River. There was an abundance of plugins which is rare in most hotels.
The bedspread wasn't big enough to cover the sides of the top mattress and the patio curtain was missing a hook so it sagged at the end, giving the place a slightly rundown look.

Clean, comfortable room with a good location. Price is reasonable.
We didn't get a room on the bay view side (my mistake). The view was of the parking lot and houses. The temperature of the shower likes to fluctuate greatly. Both my husband and myself experienced a quick change to scalding hot water mid-shower.
