What a beautiful hotel. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. I can't say enough about the view of the North Atlantic from the hotel. The evening that we arrived, we had dinner in the restaurant and it was great. The portions were adequate and delicious and the view from our dinner table was incredible. Breakfast was included with the room and had a combination of continental and menu items. All were well prepared. We were on a schedule and could only spend one night. I could stay a week at the Betty Hill Hotel easily.

Friendly and efficient reception and restaurant staff. Very clean throughout. Modern bathroom with good lighting. Stainless steel kettle in the room. Lovely restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Good selection of food and drinks on the dining room menu and in the bar. Plenty of parking.

Twin room was a bit small. Narrow gap between the two beds. Only enough room for one bedside table. Bedside lamp was small with lightweight base, easily slides on the surface, and was easy to knock over. The wardrobe doors weren't easy to open without using a bit of force.

This hotel was amazing. Room was perfect and bed so comfy, staff were very friendly and eager to help. Very pet friendly, dogs were allowed everywhere except the restaurant which meant our breakfast was served in a smaller room but this was all set up and reserved for us with a perfect picture window view of the beach. Added touches such as dog biscuits in a small bowl on the table made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was perfectly cooked as was the bar meal we had in the bar the night before. Compliments to the chef! Lovely atmosphere all round. Hope we can visit again sometime as one night was not enough.

This hotel is beautifully presented, in a very quiet location on the NC500 route. The views from the dining room are fantastic. Breakfast was exceptional. Evening meal was very good.

One room here has a separate bathroom. It is a very large bathroom, which is good, but it is a little way along the corridor, which is not ideal. You may like the large bathroom, or dislike having to walk along the corridor to get to it, so be aware of this when you book. The evening meal was good, but pricey, and there are very few alternatives, because of this hotel's isolated position.

The location is amazing, overlooking the bay and beach.We were fortunate enough to have a double aspect room with a stunning view .The staff were both friendly and efficient.The hotel itself has obviously been recently refurbished, so the rooms are clean and fresh with tasteful decoration & furniture. Best shower so far in Scotland! The quality of both the evening meal & breakfast was very good with great service. An added value bonus was value for money. Overall, as frequent travellers, we would give this hotel a five-star rating.

Beautifully located with great views. Freshly renovated throughout the rooms and lounge and bar areas. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Free parking. Everything just just worked. Would definitely stay again and for longer next time. Fantastic view at breakfast. Great food and breakfast options. Scottish breakfast of course but also eggs Benedict and Florentine and others. Dinner was also 5 stars. They obviously have a great chef on staff. They also had usb charging on both sides of the bed. They really did think of everything.

This hotel has recently been refurbished and the rooms are exceptionally well decorated and furnished. I particularly liked the notes of tartan simpathically used. The shower room was beautiful and the shower and cubical top class Downstairs there was a traditional bar with darts, snooker and a juke bic. There is a separate lounge, tastefully decorated in muted pinks, grey with rose gold touches, which has wonderful views if the bay. Personally, I think that a little background music would improve the ambience. The dining room enjoyed great views, and the menus and food were excellent. I would highly recommend the croissant, best I have had.

Firstly the location, then the really friendly welcome from the owner on Reception. The room was beautiful, well decorated and with everything you needed. Exceptionally clean and great decor. The bar was nice with decent beers and good bar staff. We had a really good chat with the owner who told us his life story and acquisition of Bettyhill. The restaurant was nicely decorated with plenty of room between tables looking out to sea. Dinner was fantastic, Haddock, chips and peas, all really tasty, probably the best fish and chips l've personally had in the last 30 years.We had a great sleep and ate our breakfast looking out across the bay. This hotel is a gem and worth staying at.

The room was very large and comfortable I had an evening meal in the restaurant which was delicious. The restaurant staff were friendly efficient and attentive. The view from the restaurant is superb.

A bathroom for my sole use was down two steps and along a corridor. It had a lock on it which was slightly stiff to operate. In the middle of the night that is difficult. The cost of the room was high, doubtless because of the position of the hotel and lack of alternatives in the area.

The view from the hotel across the sands and the sea is stunning and breakfast is served in a beautiful room overlooking this view. Our room was comfortable with a beautiful bathroom and we slept very well. There was plenty of parking. The bar meal we had was tasty and staff were all friendly and helpful. Ben Hope, the most northerly Munro in Sutherland can be reached in under an hour from the hotel and the views from the summit stretch as far as the Orkneys.
