staying here was an absolute treat, my host couldn't be more friendly and accommodating. the house was warm and inviting, beautiful decorated in a traditional style, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The room had an extensive selection of teas and coffees, biscuits and cakes. the bathroom had all the toiletries you could need plus little emergency packs with tissue, cotton buds tooth pic and hair bobble, which was useful. the options for breakfast were extensive also, fresh local produce cooked to order and served with a smile! I was here on business but my stay was a pleasure!

The breakfast at Camfield House was wonderful.

The location was a little confusing as the address for the property in Booking.com showed it on the right hand side (east) of the road, but it was on the left hand side. We stopped at an apartment that was supposed to be the address of Camfield, but the tenants in the apartment told us it was toward downtown Thurso, a quarter of mile further and on the left hand side.

Felt like a home, able to relax in the loungeroom after dinner with log fire burning. Delightful! Fantastic amenities, lovely little touches like the pillow spritz to help sleep & a cosy hot water bottle. Beautiful grounds and a short stroll to a great local pub for dinner as recommended by the host.

Camfield House is a truly exceptional place to stay, the nicest B&B I have ever visited. Everything about it - literally everything - is outstanding. So much thought and care has been put into making it an absolute pleasure to stay at. Every detail is just right. The rooms are of a very high standard, the breakfasts excellent, and the entire establishment has been furnished and decorated with exceptionally good taste. Not only is the house wonderful, but the grounds are lovely too... the gardens, the summerhouse... this place has so much going for it. Annette is an amazing host and makes a real effort to ensure that guests here have a great experience.

I liked absolutely everything about Camfield House.

The host was exceptionally helpful and attentive and we felt very welcome and at home during our stay. The rooms and bathrooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable and we particularly enjoyed the welcome drink on arrival in front of a warming open fire and also access to the games room, including use of the pool table. The breakfast options were very good and the breakfasts were delicious both mornings of our stay. We appreciated too the little extra touches of availability of fresh water, tea and coffee and tasty treats. The house was located on the edge of town within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants.

Only the weather - we'd really recommend Camfield House for a stay in Thurso!

Everything What an absolutely amazing and beautiful place to stay. The stunning furniture, log fire, games room, tv room and breakfast room were all exceptional. The bathroom was beautiful with a huge shower and roll top bath. The furniture was in keeping with the style of the home. Annette the owner was a lovely lady who couldn’t do enough for us. Everything was perfect

I was traveling for an extended period, 6 months, and Camfield House was one of the best places I stayed. I only regret that I only stayed one night. If I could do it over again, I’d book a longer stay.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

Everything was wonderful! The property is beautifully furnished and decorated, the hostess is very warm and engaging. The location is ideally situated for a quick walk into town or a lovely walk along the river.

This place is truly exceptional! Aesthetically gorgeous, clean, with all the comforts of home from prime bedding to delicious breakfast. The host is kind, delightful, and extremely accommodating! I was fortunate to have found this bit of respite on my long journey.

Stairs - I always have luggage that is heavy for me to manage. Fortunately, my hostess did the heavy lifting. so I was okay, but it would be a problem if she could not do that.
