Beautiful property with great views. The room was very comfortable and I loved having a hammock on the balcony. Beds were excellent. Breakfast was perfect. Great options for vegetarians and very fresh. Also, I had a great massage in the room ....I can't remember her name, but the hotel arranged it. I highly recommend her.

The pool was green and very uninviting. The safe in the room was broken. The first morning we were woken up to loud leaf blowing right outside our room. And I found out the next day from a message, that I did not receive until after the fact, that they were spraying chemicals around the property on the first morning we were there. I was coughing so much when I was there, now I know why. I'm sensitive to chemicals and was very disappointed to not have had advanced warning... Because I would have switched hotels.

Some part of the crew or personnel needs training and information. Example, We tried to buy a book at check out, we asked how much? 900 pesos cash or Sales tax added if paid with credit card. Books in Mexico are not subject to sales tax, Just lack of arguments and misinformation. I am a CPA by the way so I'm pretty sure and I know it. Perhaps the idea was another like charge the bank commission if paid with the card.

Amazingly beautiful and well kept grounds, spectacular views, magical pool area and very clean, newly resurfaced pool, beautiful restaurant, superb breakfasts with best views in Tepoztlan. Room was impeccably clean and very spacious. Bed was comfortable, linens good. Lots of hot water in shower. Large, well light bathroom. Great toiletries. Wonderful, attentive staff. Many waiters, many gardeners, many cleaning ladies, and helpful front desk service. Good security at front gate. Feels super-safe. Excellent transportation provided from and to Mexico City. Loved our very professional driver. Last but not least: This hotel is an important cultural landmark in Mexico. It was the country house belonging t the nationally known painter Cordelia Urueta, her sister the playwright’s Margarita Urueta, and their super-famous movie director brother. They were related to the muralist Sequeiros, and they entertained many of Mexico’s most famous artists, actors and writers at this very place. There is original art everywhere, of extremely high quality. A magical hotel in a Magic Town.

Great location, top view, nice building with lots of charm! The food is good. Fantastic bed. Very nice front desk people.

Lighting in our room was quite "difficult" and old school. Rooms do have tons of charm, but are getting a bit outdated. But the worst part: service @ breakfast and lunch... so chaotic, verything takes ages,... at a certain point I counted 7 waiters for 4 tables and it didn't go fluently...

The location is amazing, the views are breathtaking. The room is spacious and comfortable, the staff is very welcoming

"Modern" decorations throughout the facilities. They have some traditional decorations like old vases and stone sculptures but they have some modern sculptures and photographs that break the spell of the amazing estate they have. This is very minor and maybe I'm the only one who noticed but had to write something here

It’s a beautiful building and location. The room was comfortable Breakfast was fine. We will be back when we have another reason to visit Tepostlan.

The service to the restaurant table was rather slow. I was surprised there was no wine list and the waiter could not tell me the price of the wines we were drinking. I had hoped for an excercise room - but not important.

This was truly a magical place. Full of comfortable spots to relax on the grounds, lovely gardens, a beautiful room with a view of the pool, the town of Tepoztlan, and mountains all around. At night, the twinkling lights of Mexico City can be seen. The bed was so comfortable, a great jacuzzi tub amd shower. The breakfast was very good with a choice of included items. We ate dinner and lunch here as well on a couple of the days The staff here truly understand service and are always so friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to return!

The view from this place is absolutely breathtaking. The room was lovely and had everything we needed, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely be coming back!!

Not really a dislike but prepare to walk up hill a lot as it’s situated up the hill from the centre of town!

This hotel sits above the town. The views are absolutely impeccable and it’s only a one block walk downhill to the plaza/center of town. The grounds are lovely. The pool is heated. The included breakfast was top-notch.

Need a fridge in the bedroom The swimming pool's water colour was greenish! Not very inviting. The staff were rather too pushy asking for a tip to be added to the breakfast bill even though the breakfast was included.
