I'm a solo traveler, and this resort felt like a home away from home for a week. The staff operates like a family, and their genuine connection is what makes this place special. They all share a love for people and it’s clear in everything they do. The food is 10/10. I've added photos of the Pla Sam Rot and pineapple with rice because they were too good not to share. The path down to the resort is bumpy but it’s not an issue. I’m a beginner and taught myself how to ride up and down the quiet path with zero problems. The privacy and views are worth the short ride. This place is a must. Special shoutout to Lin & Say-Say in the restaurant - best wait staff/8-ball partners around.

We can’t rate A La Koh Kood more highly. The resort is set in a corner of paradise! For a relaxing stay and beautiful beaches you need look no further. Every single one of the management and staff could not do enough to make our stay perfect in every way. Nothing was too much for them and it was always service with a smile. The food was exceptional. We stayed for fifteen nights so occasionaly ate out at a couple of resorts nearby. It was never up to the standard of A La Koh Kood both by way of quality and service. We stayed in a detached deluxe bungalow which provided all the necessary trimmings. Fresh water is always available as well as free tea and coffee. There are always enough kayaks, paddle boards and snorkelling equipment to freely enjoy. To sum up A La Koh Kood resort cannot be beaten. It is simply heaven on earth!

I had a wonderful stay at À La Koh Kood. Everything was great,the staff were kind and helpful, the room was comfortable, and the beach was absolutely beautiful. The facilities provided everything needed to relax and enjoy my time there. It’s the perfect place to unwind and take in the natural beauty of the island. Highly recommended!

The road leading to the property is in very poor condition, which makes getting in and out a bit challenging. It can feel a bit isolating at times. While the staff do offer rides to the main road and scooter rentals are available, getting around the island isn’t the easiest without your own transport.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming 15-room hotel and it exceeded all of our expectations! From the moment we arrived, the experience was nothing short of magical. The location is unbeatable—directly on a pristine, uncrowded beach with crystal-clear turquoise waters. Waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying breathtaking sunsets with the kayak. It’s the perfect spot for anyone seeking tranquility and natural beauty. The food was another highlight of our stay. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. From authentic Thai dishes bursting with flavor to delicious fresh seafood, every bite was a treat. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. The location with rooms over or bungalows to the side of a crystal clear lagoon is wonderful. The beach is one of, if not best we have ever been to. It really is as good as the pictures on the website!! The hotel has a real homestay feeling to it with lovely verandas with free water, coffee and tea. The restaurant food is excellent - again some of the best we’ve had on our 3 week trip. Breakfast choice is limited but everything available is very good quality and was more than ample for us. The team that run everything all muck in together and are super friendly and welcoming. The manager was around and visible all the time, helping his team in whenever it’s busy and checked with us every day how we were - very genuine and never over bearing. There’s a few comments about the access road - to my mind it’s more like the ones that add to the price of a remote holiday cottage in Yorkshire - it really isn’t a problem but I wouldn’t fancy doing it on a scooter everyday - most people hire a scooter from the Klong hin resort 100m down the beach as the access road there is paved. It’s easy to walk to Ao Jark bay - just one area that needs care as the bridge about half way round the headland has fallen down but easy enough if you take care. Koh Kood is as unspoilt as it gets in tourist Thailand and we loved it here!

Everything about the location of the hotel is true, a bit far from the main road, but there is free car transfer provided by the most friendly and kind driver and the interaction with him made every trip really enjoyable. Everything about the resort was really good, most beautiful beach on the island, surroundings are something magical. Good spots for snorkeling, clear water and white sand.

Few things worth mentioning would be the thinness of the walls and the noises and voices you hear clearly even from the staff when they start early morning jobs. Breakfast is not that diverse but the staff is caring and understanding of your needs.

The location was amazing, because you were right beside the beach. The building itself was really aesthetically pleasing and had a beautiful beach theme. The resort provided a sup board, canoes, beach towels, snorkeling gear and floaties. The food at the restaurant was really good and the servers were kind and quick. There were a few vegatarian options to choose from and they were delicious. Breakfast was all you can eat and the omelets were the best. The resort staff were all super friendly and really went out of their way to help you. I would definitely recommend this resort and would love to come back.

Great location on a beautiful beach. Really enjoyed the water and fish around the resort Staff were extremely attentive and helpful Great atmosphere Quiet and peaceful. We slept so well!!

The road from the resort is not great! We hired a bike and parked in The Hideaway resort carpark and walked along the beach to this hotel. Much easier than negotiating the road in the dark!!

I loved everything about this property, I was looking for somewhere that was quiet and secluded from parties and noise. The place is so peaceful and beautiful, well kept, very clean and the facilities are fantastic, the views and the lagoon, the mangrove, I absolutely loved everything about A La Koh Kood. The staff were so welcoming and warm, nice and helpful, the girls that work in the Restaurant were absolutely fantastic. I have recommended this resort to a couple of friends and I will most surely will be back. Khlong Hin beach is the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen in my life and the whole experience surpassed my expectations. Thank you to all of the staff team in A La Koh Kood, you have been magnificent.

Super friendly staff. Quiet clean amazingly beautiful beach. Plenty of free beach equipment to use, although the paddle board needs upgrading. Free tea and water around various areas of the hotel. Excellent breakfast, I genuinely can't understand why some people have moaned about it.

We thought the restaurant menu was a little limited and sometimes the service was slow.... But we were never in a hurry, so that was ok. If you don't rent a bike, the location is fairly remote. I think that a small on site shop would have been very useful. But all of these are minor points, it's really is a wonderful place.
