The king-sized bed was incredibly comfortable, making for a great night’s sleep. The lights, blinds, airconditioning, etc ... in the room operate with an easy to use touch screen. The Nespresso machine is a nice touch. The staff were genuinely lovely and welcoming. Very quick check in and check out. Small but but good gym on site. The location, at the edge of downtown is good, with scenic walking tracks by the river. 10 minutes walk downtown to all the sights.
The blinds could be a bit wider to prevent light from coming through the middle, but it wasn’t a major issue.

Feel of a brand new high tech hotel in a brand new trendy East Village of Calgary. Comfortable bed & overall comfortable feeling in the room. & Nespresso- what else!
Wi-Fi which was ok during the week, did not work well on the Friday night. Had to use own internet package. It becomes pricey if you don’t have a a Canadian telephone subscription. Very pricey in-house breakfast diner which charges $2.99 for 1 piece of toast. Ok for those guests who are charging meals to their employers/ clients. You need to call the reception for having your room cleaned if you leave the room after 12 noon.

Beautiful hotel. Very modern. Nice toiletries available. 3 towels which is great as I like to use one for my hair. The staff was lovely. The hotel was super clean. The tv had chrome cast and excellent wifi. Calgary is an amazing city and out of our trip across Canada this past week and half this was in the top 3 of hotels of our entire stay. They had a pool table in the lobby and board games available for borrow. High end Japanese restaurant I would have loved to try but they didn’t have any options that weren’t fish so my hubby wouldn’t eat there - no problem, there was a nice restaurant within walking distance. Check in was easy. Had problems with my credit card and they didn’t make me mess around with calling them we made a $200 deposit that was returned when the room was checked. There was a lot going on in the city and lots of green space to walk around. Wish we would have had more time to take it all in

All hotel staff was very nice but big shout out for Hanna! She was a huge help and made my life (and my travel) so much easier. I was leaving Canada for good from Calgary, so I had two big suitcases+carry on etc. But since I have never been to Alberta, I wanted to travel there a week before leaving. With Hanna's help I was able to leave my suitcases there in the beginning of the trip, so I didn't have to carry them around. Very accommodating- I was able to leave my luggage there, had a later checkout, even was able to use a scale to weight my suitcases.

The breakfast was tasty and the rooms were a cool modern style. The rainfall shower was a nice touch. The value for this hotel was excellent and our view was actually quite nice.
There was no way to turn on the rain shower without getting covered in water and the bottom of our shower leaked on the floor a lot. One thing also when we removed the duvet(which was clean) by accident the blanket underneath had a huge sweat stain. The toilet was also a weird shape so if you're a man "it" always touched the front of the bowl, which wasn't pleasant. The parking options were also kinda lame. Street parking if you could find it or paid underground parking for $33 a night.

We had a wonderful stay at Alt Hotel Calgary East Village. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring restful nights. The hotel’s location along the riverfront was perfect, offering easy access to nearby parks and a variety of restaurants. We particularly enjoyed spending time at a nearby riverside picnic area with family, taking advantage of the warm weather during our visit.
During our stay at Alt Hotel Calgary East Village from August 17 to August 21, 2024, we were initially concerned about the potential noise from the Country Thunder Alberta music festival happening nearby. However, the hotel staff promptly accommodated our request for a room away from the event, ensuring a peaceful environment. The festival itself did not disturb us, and fellow guests, many of whom attended the festival, were considerate and quiet. We only noticed occasional noise from the street, which was minimal. Overall, the hotel’s proactive approach and the respectful behavior of other guests contributed to a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

There is a lot of wasted space in the room layout...very odd.. but I expect a european type room in this hotel and enjoy the electronic controls - perfect heat/airflow combination, and adjusting the blinds to adjust for sunrise/sunset etc . This is one of the few hotels which actually has good reading lights or dim lighting for mood. We were able to walk the dog on great paths by the river, enjoy the best coffee/croissant Calgary has to offer across the street and walk to excellent restaurants in Chinatown, all while letting our car charge for free in the public parking garage.
no room service for sure.

Stayed here previously, had a great experience so we decided to stay here again. Location, is good, nice clean rooms. We stayed in a regular king room our first stay, so we tried out the corner king room, which is slightly bigger... But it's not actually.
The corner king room is the exact same as a regular king room, but costs slightly more. The only difference is when you enter the room, there is a huge weird hallway that is completely unusable. There aren't even any hooks or hangers for coats or anything, it's really strange. Then the rest of the room is identical to a regular king room. Don't pay the extra for a corner king, it's actually pretty hilarious how those rooms are designed.

The room was extremely modern and the price was exceptional. I think it was the quickest we've ever had our room cleaned - we nipped out to the shops for 15 minutes and the room had been fully cleaned with towels. No complaints!
The woman who checked us in behind the desk was a little rude to us and the customer in front about parking, so perhaps the hotel should just share information on what to do with parking before we arrive instead of getting annoyed when people ask. I checked on here and my emails and there was no information. Also worth noting that a taxi driver told me we were staying in the worst part of Calgary and this was apparent - I wouldn't walk around there in the dark because there's thieves and drug addicts in the area. We were even told that the apartments nearby were being purchased and put on the market 1 month after due to people getting mugged. So I wouldn't travel and stay here alone.

We had such a wonderful & memorable experience at this hotel as we celebrated our intimate wedding here. The staff were very friendly, professional and accommodating. I don’t know if the 7th floor on the 7th day was intentional but we truly appreciate the little details also thank you so much for honoring our requests for the room with a river view. We felt so special that day and it all thanks to the wonderful staff. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who’s looking for a relaxing, clean and an overall excellent experience.
