A truly magical place: From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the beauty and calm of this riad. The architecture, the atmosphere, the details, everything speaks of tradition, care and elegance. Breathtaking courtyard: The central patio with its deep blue illuminated pool, surrounded by palm trees and mosaic tiles, creates a peaceful and luxurious ambiance. Sitting there in the evening felt like living inside a dream. Authentic Moroccan design: Every element, from carved wooden doors to handmade lamps, reflects the rich cultural heritage of Morocco, curated with taste and refinement. Impeccable hospitality: Moufit, the host, was simply amazing. Warm, kind, always helpful and attentive without ever being intrusive. He made our stay feel truly special and personal. Comfort and cleanliness: Our room was spacious, quiet, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The bedding was excellent, and everything was perfectly clean. Delicious breakfast: Every morning we were served a generous and tasty breakfast, in a quiet and cozy dining area. Great coffee, fresh bread, local specialties, perfect to start the day. Excellent location: Ideally situated in the medina, yet incredibly quiet and relaxing once inside. A real hidden gem. We stayed for only two nights and wished we had booked more. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Fes.

Our stay at this Riyad was truly exceptional. The Riyad itself feels like a fairytale, beautifully maintained, with great facilities and impeccable cleanliness. What truly made our experience unforgettable was the outstanding customer service from Moufid. Even before our arrival, he reached out to ensure our needs were met, and throughout our stay, he went above and beyond to accommodate our daughters' food allergies, providing safe and delicious options just for them. His kindness and dedication were genuine, without any expectation of reward. This level of service is rare, and because of it, we’ll definitely be returning.

Moufid is the BEST host that we’ve had in the whole of our travels across Morocco! We stayed in 6 hotels in different cities of Morocco, he is simply the best. He is the only host that enquired after any food allergies and watched out for our arrival and greeted us from the street so that we don’t get lost in the maze of the Fes medina; when our tour bus didn’t show up for 50mins after the scheduled meeting time, Moufid went out of his way to contact the tour agency and waited with us on the street until the tour bus arrived. Christmas and new year is the tourist high season in Morocco, we’ve had plenty of hotel hosts not responding, not cleaning the rooms properly but the Riad Chahd truly lives up to its name of ‘Luxury’. Our 12 year old remarked that it is the best hotel experience he’s ever had since he was born and that certainly is a very high praise. The courtyard was so comfortable, we could hardly get him out of the hanging chair by the fountain! The Riad is definitely one of the most beautiful, most well cared for and the most cost effective places we stayed in. Considering it is right inside of the Riad, and right in the middle of the Christmas and new year celebration, its position and room design means it is very quiet and peaceful all the time. A true oasis in an ancient medina. Not to mention the dinner is sensational.

We stayed four nights in this wonderful Riad, and it exceeded our expectations by a long shot. And that is not just because it is a beautiful place on earth (which it is!) but because of Moufid, our host, who made us feel welcome and at home from the second we entered the building. Moufid is just incredible. He first told us that this was now our home, not just a hotel, and he kept this promise throughout our entire stay. When I cracked my ankle really bad, he went above and beyond, organizing medicine for me from a pharmacy, even though it was a public holiday and everything was closed. The Riad is wonderful, beautifully built, and has everything one needs for a beautiful time in Fes. The Medina is very close by, excellent restaurants are just a 2-minute walk away, the area feels very safe, and the house is an oasis and a quiet retreat in this otherwise busy city. Without Moufid, it would have been a pleasant stay; because of Moufid and his outstanding hospitality, it became a wonderful stay that we will keep fond memories of for the rest of our lives. On the day of our departure, he even gifted us some traditional Moroccan hats and left a lovely note that we took with us, which is now part of our travel memories at home.

Everything was great. The room was clean, and the Riad was nice. Moufid even asked us if he could change anything to make the stay for the next visitors even more comfortable. We will definitely come back.

Beautiful riad. (Stayed in 3 different riads during our trip and this outshone others by far). Impecably maintained with attention to every detail. Had booked a room for 3 adults to share. Space was cavernous. Large king and 2 singles with loads of space and storage if needed. Star of the show is it's host Rafid. Can't praise him enough. What a gentleman and nothing was too much trouble for him. He was so helpful in suggesting and arranging activities, restaurants etc, sometimes walking with us to the venue. all of which were great experiences. Would most certainly recommend

Nothing at all

Moufid was an exceptional host, and came to meet us to take us to the Riad. The Riad looks exactly as described. It's spotlessly clean, feels luxurious and grand. We arrived a little late and didn't want a big dinner. Moufid prepared a light dinner for us which was perfect. He took time to explain things to us, offered us tea when we arrived, gave us tips about the Medina and was on hand to answer any questions we had while out and about. Everything about our stay was amazing. Moufid even upgraded our room which was really kind. We were tired so spent our night just relaxing and the riad was quiet, even through the night we weren't disturbed by noise. We are vegan and Moufid was very caring and attentive to that, which was appreciated. We had a driver to take care of us, so we didn't walk around too much on our own, so I can't comment much on location and accessibility. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed at Riad Chahd, and from the moment we arrived, the experience was incredible thanks to Moufid, our host. He helped us arrange the airport transfer, where a driver greeted us with a sign bearing our name and took us to the Riad in a very comfortable and air-conditioned van. Moufid was not only an excellent host but also shared his vast knowledge about the city and Moroccan culture with us. His restaurant recommendations were unbeatable and allowed us to immerse ourselves in an authentic local experience. He also arranged a Hammam bath for us, which was a completely new and fascinating experience that we loved. What truly stands out about Moufid is his charisma, integrity, and the pride he takes in his work. His warmth made our stay at the Riad unforgettable. If you’re looking for an authentic and enriching stay in Fez, we highly recommend Moufid and Riad Chahd.

The property is great and offers a small pool, beautiful rooms, great breakfast, etc The location is perfect, it is a five min walk from the center of the old medina. As a result you don’t have the hustle from the city center. The best part of the property is the host, he is amazing and helped us with everything. He showed us around the city, helped us plan what we should visit, gave us food recommendations, was always available for questions even by message. Normally I would not return to the same property but I hope to one day come back.

Location and accommodation was fantastic for the price paid! Really clean and spacious room, on a Riad located 5 mins walking from Medina! Muffid was a brilliant host, really helpful and friendly. He showed us how great maroccan hospitality can be. Really honest during all our conversations and able to give us loads of information about things to do in Fes, from a local's perspective. We'll definitely go back!

Moufid would have to be the most attentive manager I have ever come across and his boss should pay him more to keep him - a real asset to any hospitality operator. The riad was immaculate, the food was delicious and the location was very good also. For guests booking be sure to give Moufid your WhatsApp contact and he will meet you and walk you to the riad - it’s easy to get to but much less stress if you arrange this ahead of time.
