It was very hot in Valladolid so we really appreciated the airconditioning in the room. We had the standard room, located just on the corridor in front of the reception. That was a bit funny because if you opened the door, you could see the bed. The room does not have any windows but that was mentioned in the room description. For the rest, the room is basic but sufficient for our stay there. The staff is very kind and helpful. There is a common kitchen we made use of to have our breakfast in the morning. There is also a fridge the guests can use which is very nice. Tea, coffee and drinking water is free available for the guests, which is nice.

The toilet didn't function properly. Water kept flowing if you didn't open the top of the water tank and pulled the floating device. It wasn't a big issue for us but maybe good to have that fixed.

Good location, nice small property with just a few other guests, and very attentive staff. They allow guests to access facilities with sister property next door which is nice and useful as that is whee the main pool and Restaurant are located.

It still takes a good couple of minutes to walk to the city's main attractions and the neihgboir houses next to the hotel make some loud noise at night and have some fowl odors from dogs in the backyard.

We really loved this place, quiet and peaceful with a colourful cute garden (with a little plunge pool) where we could take a break from the noise of the city. They have a microwave and coffee machine and lovely dining area.

We booked because it said it had a kitchen and we were looking forward to cooking but when we got there the hobs weren't working so there was no way of cooking our own food, which was really disappointing.

It’s 2 blocks away from the main plaza and 10 mins walk to the cenote. Swimming pool is quite small but very enjoyable to get a nice chill out in the calm of the garden. Staff was young and very helpful. Breakfast is normally taken in another hotel 1 min walk and it’s really not a bother. The other hotel was packed when we were there so we took our breakfast back to our garden.

Location perfect. We lived at Aurora hotel. The receptionist asked us if we wanted to live there. The breakfast is in this hotel even if you live at Casa Hipil. It is just around the corner. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast area is on the rooftop. Good food. Room was clean. The hotel is a historical one. Loved it so much. 7 minutes walking to everything.

We stayed in the family room in front of the pool. What a nice surprise. The bunk bed is the most beautiful bed I have ever seen. It is gigantic. The room is very spacious and beautiful, and the bathroom is huge. Double showers and toilets. The breakfast is not included but you get a discounted rate in a next door restaurant and it was very yummy. Just ask front desk where it is located.

The bathroom doesn't have ventilation so it was very hot in it. Also there is not a way to prop open its salon doors. We hacked it but it would be nice to have something to keep them propped open. We had a 3 year old and I was a little concerned with him running into it. Nothing happened though. There was only one pillow per person and the same with the towels. I get it, but it would be nicer to have an extra one.

The location is great. The garden is lovely with a small pool. We stayed 4 nights. We had a familyroom with the 5 of us on the first floor right above the pool. The room was very spacious with a bunkbed and a kingsize double. Enough room to put our clothes away, a big bathroom (with very impractical saloon-like doors) with 2 showers, 2 toilets, 2 sinks in it. Hot water, towels and toiletries provided. The room was cleaned every day. The aircon and fans worked. There was a fridge in the room, which was nice. And you can refill waterbottles in the kitchen.

The mattress was quite soft and the pillows were really uncomfortable. I saw reviews about stains in sheets, but they look like stains from airdrying (sheets on wood/ rust/ nature). I’ve seen that in most hotels in Mexico and the sheets looked clean.

Great location, friendly staff (helped us find dinner when we arrived late on a public holiday), had the family room on the courtyard which was lovely for swimming. Beds were comfortable and the room and bathroom were spacious with high ceilings. The kitchen area seemed nice although we did not need to use it. Great for a pit stop on our Yucatan road trip.

The sliding door at the entrance is a bit difficult to open and the shower water pressure could have been better.

The staff was amazing. He created us well, made us feel welcomed, and provided us with recommendations. Make everything run smooth, from parking to access to the refrigerator. I would recommend to anyone stopping by Valladolid!

I don’t feel strong about anything in particular. I think this was a good choice for our stay and would repeat again.
